Yeah, the GoPlay GripStand does look more useful for handheld mode users who don't have extra money to throw around but find the stock setup strains their hands.

But since I'm not a handheld mode user...

No gyro an HD rumble? Sad but expected. No one is making third party joycons because the technology is too expensive to sell cheaply. It's sadly not like back when you could get a $20 third-parryu Gamecube controller. This is why the joycon is still $70 after all this time.

I need a new controller because my joycons broke but it's hard to get yourself to spend $70 on controllers. I brought a Wired Fight Pad Pro for $20 a few months ago, but it doesn't work in handheld mode... The Pro Controller is surprisingly cheaper than the normal joycons.

What could that alarm functionality be useful for? I wonder if it’s relevant to the software that uses that new peripheral.

This is kinda random but does anybody know how large the filesize is for the Smash Bros. fighter's pass? All the searches I do only turn up the number for the full game.

The pass itself is likely nearly zero bits. The fighters, etc. have to be added to every copy of the game to ensure compatibility; the pass is just an unlocker.

Do you need NSO to enjoy Divine Divinity 2's cross save with Steam?

I want to ask you all; My mom wants to put a Nintendo Switch Lite on layaway for Christmas for me, but I'd rather have a regular Switch. What's the difference between both? Any pros? Downsides?

From what I've seen, the Switch Lite can play all of the same games as the Switch, it just can't dock to a TV, so you can only play games in handheld mode. To compensate, the Switch Lite has a much longer battery life, more akin to the 3DS's 6-8 hours than the Switch's 3 hours (though I've heard the newer model of the default Switch is up to 4 hours).

The newer model actually lasts longer than the Lite iirc—up to 9 hours I think. The only benefits of the Lite are the price and smaller size.

Also the 3 hour battery life for the old model was the minimum expectancy. It can last up to 6 depending on the game.

It should be noted that the new switch doesn’t actually have a better battery. It had a better processor, which leads to more efficient battery use.

I am amazed that those two managed to get through that video with straight faces. Although, is it just me, or did their lines seem a bit forced at times?

Anyways, I don't think anyone was expecting this.

I was hoping it would be a fitness battle royale. Hard to tell if this will find an audience, but peak Nintendo is always good Nintendo.

Hey, I liked Switch Boxing, so I'll give this a go as well. More incentive to get me off my ass and exercising when I can't be bothered to try to find parking at the gym.

How is Astral Chain, by the way? Is it worth picking up? I'm poor, so I can't just buy games willy-nilly, I need to know they're going to worth the investment.
