I think it's a nod as well, but it does stand out since he's not really part of the modern era shows like the other characters are.

As usual for that poster's lists, I call shenanigans on a number of those. In particular Webby being so highly "good" on that list, when she's prone to stuff like this:

I'd put Webby lower and Launchpad higher. Sure, Launchpad is an idiot who does some harm with his bumbling, but his intentions are always the best. He's the embodiment of Dumb Is Good (though the show itself does not qualify for that trope, because we have a handful of smart heroes like Huey, Fenton and Scrooge himself, and some really dumb villains like Glomgold).

Also, anyone think maybe putting Donald as the most good is a bit extreme. Don't get me wrong, I love him and he's a lot nicer than other versions of him, but even here he's not above having his own nastier moments like stubbornly refusing Beakley's help in Daytrip of Doom, preferring to lie to Panchito and Jose over telling the truth to the point of recklessly spending Scrooge's money despite him having his bet with Glomgold in Town Where Everyone Was Nice, and the whole blaming Scrooge for Della being gone rather than trying to get his side of the story until Beakley told him in The Shadow War. Heck, even his younger self is definitely more of a jerk as shown in Last Christmas and The First Adventure.

I suppose that depends how much actual malice is behind some of their less-than-good behavior. I certainly would take malice into account if I ever made a good-to-evil list.

The show sure likes putting Donald on a pedestal as the Good Parent, that's for sure.

He deserves that pedestal.

At least Donald's finally getting the credit he deserves in animation after being upstaged by the mouse for years.

Chip & Dale are rodents, but wouldn't call them mice.

Also there are 2 of them.

Well, who got the last laugh? You tell me. Who's the one with the much-beloved 2017 series that's one of the few examples of a reboot done well, and who's the one with the movie that has Peter Pan as the bad guy?

I don't know, the Rescue Rangers movie has gotten a pretty good critical response overall.

I'm still pleasantly surprised that they used David Tennant's voice for Scrooge in his brief appearance in the Rescue Rangers movie. At least, I'm assuming it's brief; I haven't seen the movie.

The mouse that upstaged Donald for so long was Mickey Mouse, not Chip N Dale.
