[up] Fair point. I get very particular when it comes to politics. I'm a political nerd, so this is my jam, yo. Like, the Nazis were sick fuckers, but fascinatingly sick fuckers, and it's incredibly interesting to study them, especially since they're the only fascists to ever go the path of radicalization in Paxton's fifth stage of fascism thanks to their victories on the Eastern Front allowing them to engage in the Holocaust.

A wonderful idea just popped into my head, well "wonderful" depending on your definition of it. In public he'll portray himself as some sort of British fascist so as to throw people off about his sexuality. He also expresses anti-homosexual veiws because he's struggling with his own sexuality even after all this time, plus the fact that he doesn't think he'll ever find love.

But why would he present himself specifically as a fascist rather than just avoiding politics or sticking to moderation/whatever most people agree with. Like, while it certainly wouldn't get as much as homosexuality would, being a fascist would earn him many enemies.

There are Conservative pundits and politicians who promote or at least vote on anti-gay legislation only to have some scandal out them as gay themselves.

That said, that Wolf only came up with this now apparently doesn't speak well to my belief that he'd be able to pull it off well.

I'd recommend playing a character with a less politically pointed secret; Failure leading to someone's death, affair/betrayal, loosing their fortune in the crash, murder, discovered as a thief, or something along those lines.

Eh, I'm actually not really sure. I'm just trying to make the character equal parts me and originality.

As i've said before, you're trying too hard to make it the more exotic character ever. You are likely to make the character break apart by adding stuff on a whim. Just stick to a somewhat coherent idea. Also neither Nazis nor gays are the point of this rp, and i would be somewhat disappointed if you people kept insisting on it.

Some Locations.

  • The Goatwood: The old forest that gives its namesake to the town, it is comprised of many ancient trees, and rather thick and shady. It's fairly easy to get lost in it, due to its narrow roads and relative lack of landmarks. However, in recent times, the forest is all but in name in the eastern and southern sides, due to disturbances. The forest is at its thickest in the west, where the Cairn of the Druids is located, and fairly thick in the northern hill where the Earl's manor resides.

  • The Manor: The Earl's residence, in a secluded hill north of the main town. The manor in itself is fairly recent, of Neo-Gothic making. Two things stand out above the rest, however. The cellar of the manor is actually built on a much older roman mine and few people know how deep those go. And the Earl has replaced the front gate of the outer manor wall with a reproduction of Rodin's masterpiece The Gates of Hell.

  • The Cairns of the Druids: In the western part of the Goatwood, after following a sinous path, the forest opens itself to a rather impressive grove. In the middle of it, six man-sized cairns of stones mark the final resting place of the old druidic circle, slaughtered by the romans centuries ago. The cairn is considered a mystical place, and folks claim the most impressive forest animals can be found around there.

  • The Farmlands: The farmlands is the southern part of the Goatwood, connecting the old town with the outer rim of the forest. Due to extensive human use, there's barely any tree left standing, most of the land converted to farms or dwellings beyond the Old Town. The main road to Goatwood is here. It also contains...

  • The Hallowed Grounds: The name that both the church and the graveyard besides it receive. Located between the Old town and the farmlands, it is here that people are buried and masses are celebrated.

  • The Ash Swamp: Initially the eastern part of the Goatwood, the terrain collapsed due to the extensive damage it suffered during the wildfire of the Black Saturday, becoming a foul-smelling swamp full of dead trees. Its only interest seem to serve as dumping ground for dead cattle, and that it contains the Pit.

  • The Pit: An impressive naturally excavated cavern on the eastern rim of the Ash Swamp resembling a giant beast's maw, it contains hot springs in the interior, but also dangerous levels of sulphur. The cavern itself refutes all attempts to be explored, and people are not advised to go there, as the toxic fumes have killed people.

  • The Old Town: The core of the town per se. Many buildings are crammed around a tiny plaza which contains the Town Hall, the Drunk Fairy tavern, the smithy, and general stores. A lot of the old timers live here aswell, but newcomers are often allocated in the Farmlands instead.

Also, roleplay is go!.

Hmm, I had expected more people to post already to be honest. I'll wait a couple of days and prompt a reply. But if it persists I might axe this rp

It helps if you announce the RP in a new post.

I didn't realize it had started because there was no ping on my watch list.

Well, the post roughly came up at the same time as the locations infodump, so I just put it there almost at the same time...

And also I put a new post in the signup thread announcing it.

Mayhaps I should've thought there would be teal deer effect. My bad.

I'll wait a bit more for Rena. And then I'll move forward.

I'm not sure why; I have Rena over skype. He's around but busy.

Unless you're moving the narrative forward and changing scenes or trapping us in the pub, then chatter should be fine. I think we could use some hook for interaction.
