But MM has a release date of sometime in December according to preorders.
That said, I'm hoping we get a release date for the international version of Hatsune Miku Project Mirai 2. I've been wanting to play one of those games for awhile and with an updated rerelease of 2 slated for release this year both in and out of Japan I can't wait any longer.
Nintendo themselves announced that Majora's Mask 3D was Q1 or Q2.
That said, if it really is a month from today that it comes out, I'll have to cancel my preorder. That's just a terrible time to release for me, being right in the middle of things I consider higher-priority.
Huh. Wonder why the preorders list it being released in December of this year then. Mind you I don't play the series since I'm bad at completing the games but I still find it a bit odd.
They often put December 31 as a placeholder if the game is just announced to come out sometime in the year.
Between this upcoming Nintendo Direct and the apparent upcoming release of the New 3DS, this is basically how I feel right now:
"That said, if it really is a month from today that it comes out, I'll have to cancel my preorder. That's just a terrible time to release for me, being right in the middle of things I consider higher-priority."
You don't actually have to cancel your preorder. Unless the place you preorder from are assholes, the preorder will stay in the system for a while. You just won't be guaranteed a copy if you come back after the launch date.
I still have ORAS (it's one of them, not sure which) in Gamestop's systems and could easily go out and get it if I wanted to with $5 off (since that's what I paid for the preorder).
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I pre-ordered the one with the Skull Kid figurine. Now try to apply that logic again.
Really, though, low-priority is low-priority.
Review of stuff we may see. The list varies from stuff that's near guaranteed to merely a decent chance. We are not getting all of this.
3DS:
- New 3DS
- Majora's Mask
- Monster Hunter 4U
- Codename Steam
- Fossil Fighters
- Etrian Odyssey 2U and Mystery Dungeon
- Xenoblade 3DS
- Puzzle & Dragons Mario Edition
- One currently unknown New 3DS project (Detective Pikachu?)
Wii U:
- Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
- Yoshi's Wooly World
- Mario Party 10
- Mario Maker
- Mario vs Donkey Kong
- Xenoblade X
- Splatoon
- Devil's Third
- Star Fox
- Rodea the Sky Soldier (Japan only?)
- Hyrule Warriors DLC
- Captain Toad Amiibo stuff
- SMT x FE
Other:
- Amiibo notes (success, new shipments, next wave)
- Smash DLC (Mewtwo, tournament mode, Miiverse stage, new character)
- Indie Reel
- Virtual Console (N64 on Wii U, GBA and SNES on N3DS), Donkey Kong Country in America, Mother 3, etc)
- Connectivity between 3DS and Wii U (maybe Quality of Life?)
- Please Understand
Stuff we won't see:
- Zelda U
- Pokken
- New major Wii U game
- New Metroid/F-Zero
- Youkai Watch
- Bravely Second (I'll be surprised if we get that this year)
- Final Fantasy Explorers
- "Insert obscure Japanese only game you want to come over"
- AAA third party games
I think that covers just about everything. Time to see how predictable they have become.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Aww, you mean I shouldn't hope for an announcement of Death Match Love Comedy for the West?
On a more serious note, I think your list is probably spot-on, except Yo-kai Watch is likely going to be present. When Nintendo says "games for Spring", they always have something further off as well.

Youkai Watch doesn't seem like it's coming over anytime soon, which is what this Direct is focusing on. And it's not big enough in the west like Zelda or even Xenoblade to be one of the exceptions. I personally expect it to get its own event (not a Direct), at least if Level 5 is serious about going all out on it. But I would love to be wrong.

.....It's scary that Death Match Love Comedy has actually garnered my interest.
I guess after having to put up with Harem shit for so long, it's kinda interesting to see one of those idiots suffer.
One Strip! One Strip!Based on the grapevine, the new 3DS is basically a lock for next month, so we can definitely expect a segment in the Direct.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectForgot Mario Kart 8 DLC. Too early for that to show up, as that's coming in May. I don't think there will be a Wii U HD remaster (under the no new Wii U clause, though one is probably coming), and there won't be another 3DS remake/port (Xenoblade and Majora's Mask are plenty for now). But there's too much stuff that could be coming out soon to have a truly accurate guess, especially since we have so few release dates.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. And Nintendo being secrety-secret pants.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI guess my only big hopes for the Direct beyond the New 3DS are:
3DS: please-have-Advance-Wars-please-have-Advance-Wars-please-have-Advance-Wars
Wii U: please-have-Giant-Robot-please-have-Giant-Robot-please-have-Giant-Robot

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Chicks dig giant robots.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectDamn straight we do.
Anyway, I hope they reveal the MM DLC for HW, as well as more information on Mewtwo's veteran come back in Smash 4. I'm not expecting any more SSB characters till into Summer at best, if we get more character DLC for it, that is, beyond Mewtwo.
I'd love more information on Mario Party 10 as well, perhaps a little bit about Mario Kart 8's DLC.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.Less than an hour left!
Here's a link to Nintendo's twitch stream.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Geez, 46 minutes long. Is this gonna be huge?
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard Playthroughaaa i missed it at school
what was
And then there was silenceIt's going on in 10 minutes, that's just the livestream video.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughAbout as long as E3. Not that surprising really. Watch them spend 15 minutes on stuff we already know. Japan is 45 minutes for the curious.
I'm missing this live, so get hyped for me.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Good it's not too long. That means I can watch the whole thing before my first class at 10.
