Double post: Yoshi's Crafted world gets a March 29th release date.

This really ends up killing a general Direct's chances. Still going to hold out hope.

I wouldn't say that remotely kills a chance, cuz it's just one game being having a confirmed release date. Also holding out hope, cuz that means the next Direct would likely talk about it.

Nintendo leaking their own Directs. Bold move there.

It's heavily looking like the 3DS' last Direct was back in September as Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn also got a release date of March 8th.

Oh hey, that's coming out on my birthday. I'm assuming it's a sequel though and I haven't played the original.

Nah. Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn is a 3DS remake of the original game with some extra stuff thrown in.

Yeah, in that case all the third-parties released the trailers on the originally-announced day of the Direct because you can't delay other companies' marketing plans unilaterally.

Rumor: planned Pokemon and Zelda sections at Universal Orlando have been cancelled for the time being.

The second floor of Nintendo NY will be closed on January 15th until 11:30 am local for a private event.

Apparently they don't do "private" events due to lack of space.

I heard a theory that they were filming the next Direct but I couldn't tell you how accurate that would even be.

Odd place for Reggie to celebrate his birthday party, but if he's happy, sure.

90% chance it's nothing we care about.

Why would they film a Direct there? NOA is based in Washington and they have probably have a dedicated space for it.

It should be pointed out they did this before, and two days later we got a Direct with the announcement of Twilight Princess HD among others.

Well, the 17th IS a Thursday, so... maybe, I guess?

Eh, doesn't HAVE to be a Thursday.

• The Switch needs to keep up momentum with a steady stream of games since its newness factor has worn off.
• LABO ain't dead (more is coming) and had a spike in sales at the end of last year.
• Mobile software is designed to spark interest in existing Nintendo IPs.
• The 3DS also ain't dead and will continue to get support.

Not gonna lie. I want the 3DS to continue at this point just to spite the people who get all upset whenever it gets a new game so hearing that Nintendo still plans to support it makes me happy in a twisted kinda way.

I'm glad that the 3DS will continue to get support. Even to this day, I still have so much fun with it.

Is there a Direct tomorrow? Have heard rumors there'll be one and it'll have SMTV info.

If they haven't announced one before it happens, don't get your hopes up.

Next week, probably. Hopefully.

I can't imagine a Direct happening during the last week of the month.

End of the month, no idea of the actual date. probably the 31st or so.
