Feels a little weird seeing Saul finally get heavily involved with Salamancas again in Season 5, after pretty much going silent on that after Season 1.
Just saw the series finale. Man, however Jimmy went down, he went down in style, for Kim! Also, all things considered, Jimmy seems more fine in prison than outside of prison, where he never seemed that happy. At least he's surrounded by "his own people" who appreciated his efforts to help criminals get better sentences.
It's a controversial ending for sure.
In the end, there's a good Alternate Character Interpretation that Jimmy couldn't survive as an honest man so he decided to make his self-sabotage a Grand Romantic Gesture.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Jimmy was def someone who always seemed to let fear get the better of him. What happened with Tuco in the desert prob played into that, thinking he always had to go full force with his tactics to survive, but he eventually made it more complicated for himself to the point that he tries all these tricks to steal from stores and identity fraud and all that crap even though Lalo and the rest were all gone and was the manager of a food establishment. If he had just embraced his new role as a manager and never resorted to playing with fire again, then I could have seen the finale never happening,
except he didn't.
Mark Margolis has passed away at the age of 83.
May he rest in peace. I thoroughly enjoyed his portrayal of Hector on this show and Breaking Bad.
Trust no one.
I feel like Walt would have plead guilty to everything, because his characterization in the finale leads me to believe that he is done living a lie and thus he feels free even in prison. Besides, he would likely die very soon in his sentence regardless.
It's been 3000 years…
