The ones from Summer Games 2018 onwards don't drop in price but the ones from previous events do.
Uni catPlayed a bunch of turn-based Overwatch on the workshop today, it's fun
Seriously, Workshop is possibly the single best addition this game ever had and I'm surprised how Blizzard doesn't promote this all that much.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Got the Brigitte's Police, Pharah's Astronaut, and Reinhardt's newer Lunar New Year skins, alongside an Ana emote from my free event crate. Sometimes the Random Number Gods favour you.
So, an artist on Twitter who attended Korean high school commented on the new D.Va skin.
Basically, it goes: "I got a lot of thing to say about this skin, but most importantly it lacks Korean flavor. She gotta have at least gym pants and blanket cape on."
Oh my God, I've actually seen Korean high school girls wearing like that. Apparently once you reach your senior year in high school, you just stop giving a damn about anything other than study and whatever is the most comfortable works the best.

When I play as Winston and the enemy Genji is not particularly good, sometimes I wonder if Winston makes better assassin than Genji.
Then again, every once a while you even see Assassinhardt...

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Huh there was a Starcraft FPS in development?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It was a Duke Nukem Forever-level joke for the longest time; it became clear to anyone who was paying attention that Blizzard had quietly killed the project, but they didn't actually announce that it was canceled for years, not until they mentioned it offhand in a 2014 interview about the cancellation of Project Titan.
IIRC the scuttlebutt was that they were developing it for PS 2 and Xbox, and reached a point where by the time it would have been ready the 360 and PS 3 would already be out. They decided to cancel it rather than either rush out a substandard game on then-current consoles or sink a bunch of money into porting it to then-next-gen consoles (and probably still coming out with a substandard game).

You mean SC Ghosts?
Uni catOh, shit, I didn't actually click through the article. They tried to make ANOTHER Starcraft FPS after Ghost? Didn't they learn their lesson the first time? (-:
If this is true, I'm hoping for a single player/Co-op FPS with RPG components. The Overwatch franchise is really hurting for a way to push the story forward in ways the current game is ill-suited for.
I'd suggest that instead of playing an existing character, you'd play a customizable protagonist who would be a fresh recruit into New Overwatch.
Wonder if overwatch 2 would include all the existing characters from the first game. It's kind of a dauntingly big roster. To say nothing of if they want new additions for the sequel.
I think OW 2 must be a spinoff. Probably focusing on new OW.
That way, Archives can focus on old OW. We can also infer peeps like Lucio, Pharah, Zenyatta or Hammond could join new OW.

Uni catYeah, I can't imagine them making a literal Overwatch 2 in the sense of it being a team-based online FPS.
A slightly different genre (though probably still an FPS) set in the Overwatch universe however, is very much something I could see them doing.
Man, I can't get over just how brilliant of an addition Workshop is!
I think Blizzard should hold a contest of custom games and the best ones should be included as an official game mode, even as just an Arcade.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Hero Gauntlet and Mirrored Deathmatch both started in the workshop.
They should continue on, then. Sweet stuff.
I really loved that Fighting Game mode workshop game.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I'm guessing "Overwatch 2" is more of a single-player focused expansion.
More like Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion.
This song needs more love.Wait, singleplayer and pve? I am down for that.
I never played Overwatch but always liked and appreciated the setting and characters but the pvp multiplayer never appealed to me. I just can't find a dislikeable character and so much bio for everyone! Frick yes.
I'm more of an Unreal Tournament kind of person (and it's probably the only competitive multiplayer I'll bother with) and Overwatch just isn't that. I am not even much of a fan of Quake 3, UT's direct rival.
Well, at least Overwatch mp isn't like Call of Duty or Halo, so... eh? I always felt Overwatch should've had single-player missions for characters you play as, like playing through their own story or something.

I wouldn't get your hopes up guys. Blizzard hasn't been best about Overwatch lore. I would expect the worst until we hear good news on whatever this project is.
I find that expecting the worst can often result in thinking you got the worst even when you plainly didn't. I'm more of someone who tries to understand the full scope of possibilities and not get too invested in any one possibility, good or bad.
What we know is that a report of reasonable enough credibility indicated that Blizzard is working on a new Overwatch game. Here are the possibilities:
1. The report is false, or it's true but the project gets canceled before seeing the light of day.
2. It's not really a new game, but a massive update for the existing Overwatch game that's being developed by a separate team. This could be a co-op campaign mode.
3. It's a mobile game. While I don't expect Blizzard to repeat the Diablo Immortal announcement mistake, the situation is fundamentally different with the Overwatch franchise since it's still being actively supported with new maps/heroes/events.
4. It is a companion PC/console game for Overwatch. This could be anything from a co-op/single player campaign mode for Overwatch that is spun off into it's own standalone game, to a game that's in such a wildly different genre that it could never of been incorporated into Overwatch's core game. Under this option it doesn't have to be story focused, but most possibilities point in that direction.

I am more saying that as I don't want anyone's hopes to be crushed when whatever this is turns out to be way different then expected.
While I’d absolutely love a PVE/Single player focused overwatch game I’m, still not sure that’s what this might be. Honestly depending on how early this got leaked, what if it’s just an overwatch sequel for the next gen consoles that are inevitable at this point? Like this generation seems to be winding down and we’re probably at least going to get a PS 5 announcement soon, part of me feels this might jut be a similarly focused sequel to have the game on next gen as soon as possible for lootbox money. Don’t necessarily want it to be the case but I feel like it might be depending on how far off this is

Looking over the skins, none of them are for characters I really play and are enough are 'Wifu-bait' that I'm pretty turned off by it all.
EDIT: I thought Holiday skins dropped to 1000 during Anniversaries??? Did they stop doing that?
