All I can do (besides unsubbing once they finish the final part) is shake my head. Their flaws are much more apparent when Johnny isn't with them to balance things out, but even when he is present, Ted and/or Lewis still act up.

I think they need Johnny to keep their flaws in check.

But yes they do need to actually listen to their audience and improve themselves.

Like, Ted needs to stop thinking that he has to be right, and Lewis needs to tone down the questioning game logic.

Allegedly Lewis does that with game stories as he’s supposedly an amateur writer, but honestly I don’t think people care about that.

I think the Gravity Rush 2 LP was pretty bad with them not paying attention to important plot stuff and then asking questions because they weren’t paying attention.

Sometimes I think the reason why SGB maintained subs and BSC is not growing could be because Johnny, Elliot, Matt, Sabrina, and Greg actually pay attention to plot and constantly asking questions for stuff they missed.

Not to mention everyone in SGB matured over the years and can laugh at their own flaws. Just sucks that the channel is pretty much retired now.

[up]And SGB managed to maintain their subs throughout last year despite no new uploads, while BSC struggles to gain subs.

It’s surprising how Ted and Lewis have not really grown that much over the years while Matt and Elliot have matured and laugh at their flaws compared how Ted and Lewis don’t laugh at their flaws, if they even interpret their flaws as flaws.

I wonder if their success has gone to their heads and they think they don't have to change anything because people would still like them regardless?

Ok now you’re devolving to just bashing them

This isn't bashing. Being critical isn't bashing someone.

Well thank god I said that this conversation was devolving into bashing (which is flat out defined as excessively harsh criticism) instead of bullying. And yes I would consider saying that Ted and Lewis have never grown (they have, especially Ted who has acknowledged how much of an ass he was earlier on) and saying that their fame has gone to their head as falling more into bashing then simple criticism.

Seriously, watch any playthrough in their first 3/4 years and tell me they've not gotten better. Also like, Ted was a kid in those days, I'd be a little embarrassed too.

I find that for the occasional bad take or comment Ted has, he's got a nugget of neat trivia or fact that livens up a discussion.

And Lewis's questioning can be hilarious at times, re: the Wario Land 4 playthrough.

And it should be noted that the last time I was actively annoyed by Lewis's nitpicking was during Sonic Forces.

I think in the Forces LP he was just backseat gaming. To the point it annoyed the others.

I’ll admit there has been some growth over the years. It’s just that Ted and Lewis still have their annoying things about them.

And yes I understand why people were annoyed with the crew with the latest part of Blaster Master Zero 3.

Having RE 8 and Blaster Master Zero 3 on the channel together really just highlights the differences in quality too.

But I sort of get it. With RE 8 most of the crew, even Caddy, is on even ground with knowledge about the game so they don't have to pay a high amount of attention to the footage while commentated and thus any snags usually come from if there's a disagreement in the subject they're talking about, but usually it's a lot more tame.

With BMZ 3 though only Ryan and Proton Jon have any experience with the series personally so the other three, being so focused on commentary and such, haven't really been able to pay attention to the story and are thus confused by a lot of stuff. Doesn't excuse the attitude Lewis has been having but I can understand it, a little.

Someone in the comments section put it best in that when Lewis is commentating on a game he knows very well, like Sonic or RE, he has much better commentary. But when it’s a game he hasn’t played, like BMZ or Gravity Rush, he tends to miss plot details that explain his questions as he is too focused on commentary.

It makes me wonder if the channel would benefit more from more frequent guest commentators so that they have more people to bounce off on during commentary if most of the group aren't familiar with a game.

Out of all games for them to play, THIS game is a major WTF. Still nice to hear them talk about the GBA history. For some reason, several people in the comments are demanding the group to do a Metroid game, "you cowards."

They really should just do Prime 2.

And DMC 2.

And handheld Sonic games.

And Spyro 3.

And Crash 2 via N. Sane Trilogy.

Basically there are a lot of games I feel they should cover.

But this is nice for the GBA’s 20th birthday.

[up][up] I personally think they are going to do Dread next.

[up]I'm just assuming here because I don't remember if any of the guys said something or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if the guys did no Spyro or Crash games until Activision cleans up their act, which likely won't be for the foreseeable future.

In regards to Spyro, I am referring to the original PS 1 version. Basically the version published by Sony and not Activision. And I only am waiting for that version as they did 1 and 2 on PS 1.

In regards to Crash, it was years ago where they planned to have John record the N. Sane version of 2. I believe they haven’t gotten to it due to John choosing to focus on his own channel more do BSC less.

I don’t blame them if they don’t want to playthrough if those games in the meantime, though.

I also don’t blame Lewis for being reluctant to do DMC 2. Though the sooner he records 2, the sooner he can get to DMC 3.

Spider-Man PS 4, the game I dropped pretty hard when Smash Ultimate came out.

I should restart it.
