Rize is the "binge eater" all the doves keep mentioning, right? She basically seems like a ghoul version of Mado honestly.
Yeah. Most ghouls have monikers based on their masks. The more powerful (or otherwise noteworthy) ones invariably have a moniker though.
- Rize = Binge Eater
- Tsukiyama = Gourmet
- Touka = Rabbit
- Arata (Touka's dad) = Corpse Collector
- Yamori = Jason
- Yoshimura = One-eyed Owl
- Kaneki = Eyepatch (Amon), Centipede (Official)

Give the God Eater game thread some love!Pretty big spoilers in that one there, just so people know.
Heh, that Yomo and Uta interaction brought a smile to my face.

Well, I left out the biggest spoiler.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!I can't think of any bigger spoilers nickname-wise than Yoshimura's? Unless you mean that little thing about Owl version 2.0. I can only think of Devil Ape, Black Dog, Rabbit 2 and No-Face for any you left out...but they seem too minor to be worth worrying about.
I'm talking about the fact that there are two Owls.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!IIRC Rize was reading a book during a flashback where she talked shit about Gourmet-dude's (and the other gourmets) 'habits'...to his face.
Despite it being longer to say/type out, I'm just going to refer to Yamori/Jason as Crack-knuckle.
Rize must be really important/dangerous if the various Ghoul gangs are mobilizing entire crews to go after her. That or she just made that many enemies.
Considering that Kagune can be transferred, have any Ghouls ever considered gathering and implanting multiple Kagune into themselves?
Would they also experience the same 'possession' that Kaneki experiences with Rize?
What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.Right, yeah, that's pretty big.
Dang, latest chapter ends on darn cliffhanger
Episode 10:
- Suzuya's a kid Mado or something. Don't wanna mess with him.
- Whew, not all 11th Ward ghouls are jerks. Unfortunately, he's hanging out with a tough crowd...
- Kaneki wrecked Anteiku! Well...it's not really his fault. Darn Jason!
- Let's get Kaneki back! It'll be interesting should Hinami get a fight. And hey, Shu's back! He's just as hard to kill as Nishiki, I swear.
Chapter out, too. So Arima arrives at last - the clash of titans is about to begin, I look forward to epicness. That doesn't bode well for Kaneki though, Arima doesn't seem the type to misjudge whether someone is dead. I don't think I've ever seen a series where the protagonist dies halfway through though...
And wow Aogiri Tree has decided to join in the fun. Is the author hinting that Tatara is chinese? The names he mentioned seem to be chinese, and he apparently says "hao" at one point.
Tsukiyama is such a glorious hypocrite.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Yeah Rize made a lot of enemies as she would human-eating rampages through any Ward she walked into before she met Kaneki. She (and Kaneki by proxy for obvious reasons) is also heavily sought after because she has a unique and strong kagune.....along with fast regeneration. Yamori wanted her as a torture play thing and since Episode 10 makes it obvious that he thinks Kaneki is the next best thing....

Come to think of it (manga spoilers) how did the CCG deduce that Yoshimura is Owl (version 2), and track down his location? The only time they encountered him was at the Aogiri Tree raid, and he seemed to have made a clean getaway there - CCG didn't even seem to realise the Anteiku team was there.
Unless, perhaps, the organisation he used to belong to leaked his info to the CCG as a death-threat to make him cooperate...maybe that's what that old "friend" visiting him was implying.
Is Yoshimura's "son" a mistranslation of the original text or intentional misleading moniker?
From the very blurry pix Aita does look like the Takanashi.
Why was Hidan listed as MIA and Amon listed as KIA? I suppose that means they never found Hidan's body, but Amon was ordered not to be killed. Or they found his arm and assume his dead?

Actually, Yoshimura's child is only ever referred to as "child". It's been the fanbase which has assumed it was a male, likely because of the association with the One-Eyed King.

So, is the anime suffering from Adaptation Decay or not? Because I'm watching it and even though I haven't caught up with the manga, it seems like things are happening out of order all over the place.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialThe real Owl is a girl (looks like Takatsuki Sen to boot, but then again Suzuya looks similar to them both so whatever), Amon is presumed KIA, Hide is MIA.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!Wow, it's neat that you mentioned that...I just read the latest chapter. Holy crap it's already been shown that Eto is powerful, but for her to be Owl Mk 1...didn't see that coming. And I honestly can't tell whether to believe that Amon has been Killed Off for Real. It's not like his situation was optimistic, but he pretty much has main character status already.
Then again, with the thing going on with Kaneki...speaking of which, the author really seems to be trying to imply Hide fed himself to Kaneki huh?
One possibility raised by someone was that all CCG found was Amon's severed arm, and thus assumed he was KIA.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!Sounds possible, though we'll have to wait and see what twist of fate saved him from Tatara if that's true. Oh, also - no mention of Akira in that list? Admittedly she hasn't done anything particularly noteworthy in this operation yet...so I suppose no news is good news, if she's not in the list of dead/injured.
It somehow seems that the behaviour of this Owl we've seen doesn't match Eto's previous behaviour, though. Eto was kind of childishly sadistic, Owl seems to be more of a berserker.
If this is the end of the operation, then the CCG has really lost out here. A large number of their strongest members are out of action, possibly permanently...yet both Owls (probably) are still alive. I suppose they did kill a lot of ghouls, at least.

So... how in the fuck is the anime going to cover the Aogiri arc with only two episodes left?
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialThat's what I want to know too.
