[up] I guess sweet tooth is crazy but awesome video game character. They compared him to ren saying that he was a sadistic psycho.

[up] A Google search for a character with that name...doesn't turn up much. Certainly nothing recent.

So they're trying to compare Ren to a character who nobody knows anything about... What the heck?

[up] If that's what he was talking about... then thanks for clearing up the reference.

Honestly, with no idea as to what the hell they're talking about, you'd assume it was from a cartoon he reviewed too.

About growing around and such, I will say that the premise is actually much different than that of Flip-flopped. The only real similarity is that Kids are in control of adults and even then that part is different. In Flip flopped, the kids were essentially adults in kids bodies and vice versa, doing nothing particularly kid like. In Growing Around, it's made very clear that while kids are still parenting the adults, these kids act like actual kids, not just adults in kids bodies.

As for Ren Seeks Help....yeah I'll go out and say it. I happen to like that episode. The animation is actually very well animated and relatively nice looking, well in a disturbing way of course. The voice acting is incredibly well done, with John K. giving one of his better, if not his best performance as Ren. I actually like that it goes inside the mind of Ren and how it delves into his childhood. Then again, I'm a fan of the very dark and surreal.

Hell, I even found a few scenes to be somewhat funny. ("What kind of psychologist are you?!" "Psychologist?! I'M A HORSE!)

The only problem I have with Enter reviewing it is that he'll mostly talk about how disturbing it is. The thing is, considering that it's from a relatively dark show, that's been made more adult, and even has a warning that it's not for younger viewers...what was he honestly expecting?

It just might seem like he'll go on and on about a cartoon that claimed to be disturbing and how it actually disturbed him. Then again, I'll wait and see. I do genuinely like Mr. enter (hell, I even auditioned to write episodes for his upcoming cartoon) but I'll admit that he does do some things that I don't agree with. And panning a disturbing cartoon for actually being disturbing is one of those things I don't agree with.

[up] There were episodes that were much worse, as I've said: "Altruists," "Onward and Upward," "Fire Dogs 2"...

All of them pretty awful.

His idea is legal now. However, I don't think it'll be any good. What do a couple of guys on Deviantart know about writing cartoons?

[up] Well, considering he IS a reviewer of cartoons and seems to know at least the basics of good story telling and the like, it can't be that terrible. at least it won't be something like Mega Babies.

[up] When critics make movies they're generally bad.

Roger Ebert wrote the screenplay for a movie. It was Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls, which at best is So Bad, It's Good.

Rex Reed acted in Myra Breckinridge. Of all the things about that movie, he was one of the worst, delivering a terrible performance.

I see no reason to believe it'll be different.

[up] At least Roger Ebert's script was entertaining. I can't defend Rex Reed though, on the grounds that I haven't seen his performance.

Here's his new video. Look in the description to see the actual video on Vimeo {Not sure if I'm allowed to post the actual video or not, considering the fucked up and NSFW content in it, so I'd rather not risk it}.

Well, I can safely say that that was much better than I thought it was gonna be. He did have good points like how there were too many jokes to keep it from being played straight and how it was too disturbing to be played comedically.

I also liked that he kept true to his word in a sense. He was much more restrained when talking about the writers and didn't call them pathetic excuses for humanity.

That being said, he also said that neither Ren nor Stimpy's voice actor returned even though John K. returned for Ren.

I will admit that Mr. Enter has a point that Ren and Stimpy probably wasn't the best show to do this psychological horror type cartoon and how it'd be like watching Family Guy for political commentary. Not that Ren and Stimpy wasn't allowed to delve into it briefly but it shouldn't be the fous.

Then again, Ren and Stimpy wasn't meant to have strong continuity aside from Ren bein a jerk and Stimpy being a dumbass. Anything else is disposable.

But other than that, I was impressed by this recent review.
