Technically the existence of the Original Demon and him being a fusion of Chandler and Cusack was foreshadowed since chapter 247.

Huh it was. Shows how much I can remember.

I mean, to be honest, its REALLY hard to come out of shit at top of your head especially when you aren't just writing stuff More often than not its problem of authors being bad at foreshadowing or build up rather than they pulling it out of their ass at last minute

Except in 247 it was stated that Demon King split the power of the Original Demon into the Ten Commandments. So no, it doesn't really add up.

Ya know a group named the Seven Sins fighting a being known as the Original Sinner could have been more potentially compelling...... if the Sins actually committed any ya know sins.

As said before, aside from Merlin & Mel, these people haven't done anything wrong to qualify as a great sinner. And yes Ban is a generally unrepentant thief but that's more a charming quirk of his really.

Although I suppose if re-merging essentially destroys the two of them as individuals maybe that could be the seal? Just self preservation? So they essentially just killed themselves to re-summon the being they used to be.

I don't think the Demon King split the power of the Original Demon into the 10 Commandments; he just split the half of his power than he gave to the Original Demon into the 10 Commandments.

The Original Demon he split into Chandler and Cusack; each of them have half of the Original Demon's power without any of the Demon King's power.

I think everything that's happened is just "sure, why not" at this point.

Since no one else seems to have mentioned it yet, did the original demon have to look so stupid?

The Ten Commandments mostly had great designs. Shame the Demon King and the original....don't.

Chandler and Cusack on their own are just absurd, too.

The Demon King is a little bland. I literally don't remember what he looked like beyond 'giant buff old dude.' Generic.

Original Demon just looks silly. I'm sorry but centaurs just don't look cool and he looks sillier than a centaur, especially with that mask.

I have no particular opinion on Cusack and Other Guy. Their designs are functional.

That mustache is just impossible to take seriously. The Demon King? He's just...dull. he's a big old dude with a beard who gets dunked on by a giant pig.

Galand? Awesome design.

Isn't point of centaurs that they are weird?

Anyway, I think Demon King and Original Demon's designs are pretty good

I like the Demon King for looking like he doesn't fit any of the other designs artstyle. But beyond that it's passable as an actual design.

The Original Demon is that and manages to be worse at both.

I think Sinner looks fine. Should note that his body appears to be a lion not a horse.

Elaine dies again, and Ban gives up his immortality. Or something.

Well he kinda lost what seperated him from the regular fodder humans though I'm sure he can just give his injuries/steal the health of his enemies now.

Alekos has a point. Ban might not need the immortality anymore. With his Fox Hunt and Gift now he can probably steal the lifeforce from others and also transfer his wounds to others now.

So he can live as long as his waifu.

Still human. Probably gonna get rekt.

Pretty sure Ban has been toughened up a bit by staying in Purgatory all that time. Even without his immortality he's going to be a tough nut to crack.

also I don't wanna do this, since she was already a somewhat unstable existence, but winged Elaine struggling so much vs (elite-ish) fodder feels pretty weak considering the hype the siblings's late wings got. And she even lost them!
