I appreciate her solution in that she was literally creating weaknesses in them. Most stories I've seen try that line just have the characters try harder.

You know, if nothing else, Merlin is a consistent bright spot in this series.

I guess there was a reason both the Demon King and the Supreme Goddess personally tried to win her over.

Merlin basically found a tiny crack in their defences and applied a crowbar to it.

Element Def Debuffs are a thing. There's even games where exploiting it every time increases the damage or buffs up the character to the same effect.

...this is one of the few times where I think being an RPG Mechanics 'Verse would have improved the series.

Thats what it is. An RPG without being a game or an Isekai where the other world is a game. That's why we have the obsession with numbers.

They need to fix the stat system though. Most RPG games use more than three stats. The Merlin unit is also broken with the player has finally gotten good at using her debuffs..

It does feel retcony yeah. He threw himself in danger facing Escanor just to protect him. That he supposedly doesn't care feels like a lie.

Though Mael being an angel was alluded far longer so it could be he just forgot that bit.

Man this series has become more DBZ than DBZ ever was.

Its just "Final Form, Final Form, Final Form" now.

Also King still looks ridiculous.

To be fair, only reason why they were losing WAS that they were bullet hell'd before they could heal up

But yeah, this isn't manga the most consistent quality when it comes to stuff, but I don't really have high expectations for it either so its really rare I actually get upset by it So I don't really mind the "Oh hey, it turned out they were original demon all along!" thing even if that is reveal out of average shonen manga

This. This manga has went down from "something I look forward to" to just "something I follow".

One-Winged Angel forms are common in RP Gs even amongst non final Bosses.
