...the Big Bad of the whole series lost to the pig!? I'm wondering if Nakaba might be trying to torch the series at this point.
Jokes aside, I'm not really sure why you all are saying he lost to Wild.
Though this does bring up an interesting question - the portal to the real world is right there, so why hasn't the Demon King just left?

Yeah the suicide attack is obviously gonna fail unless Nakaba is gonna write the next chapter while drunk as shit. At best it gives an opening for them to leave.
I'm mostly just going 'why not just focus on Mel? You don't strike me as giving much of a shit about Ban or the pig, and Ban's the only one who's capable of hurting you.'

I mean he's not an ordinary pig and unlike his brother he's actually capable of fighting. If it was say Hawk who beat he Demon King I'd totally understand why this would be so absurd.

He spent 60 years doing exactly that...or however long they were fighting from their point of view.
Not disagree with you by the way, it's just that he was more than dominating before that point.
Wild however, is such a joke that the mere fact that he's able to do anything besides get his ass kicked is enough to put the Demon King on the Joke Character pile with every other villain in this series.

He did not beat him, he knocked his hand away preventing him from stopping Mel and Ban from going through the portal. The Demon King was not defeated.
Namely cause he turned off his spell that turns any damage to healing.

I was wondering what these guys have been doing, so I guess this makes sense.
This was before the whole Mael thing was revealed, so the demons just had a big memory breakdown in the middle of fighting?
Also, Chandler just doing his whole "true night" thing would sort of put an end to Escanor's threat. A shame no one is going to suggest that.

Their demons & their dad is a reality-manipulating God.
You can easily just put in that they were created asexually, or were made artificially, or were even cloned so they donβt have a mom & call it a day.
