I can see where people are coming from with this not being as good as the others but I think that was the point. The song is disjointed and doesn't fit and keeps getting interupted before getting darker. Robin is dead, as foreshadowed by the picture and Harry escaped and is outside. He was the one calling and trying to save them but failed. The facade is failing and it's trying its hardest to either keep them in with it, or kill them.

[up] I am not too sold on Robin being dead yet. After all last time we thought Harry definitely was killed for trying to go against Colin. I think Robin might of escaped the simulation via his death in it but might come out traumatized for obvious reasons (being torn apart by some creepy ass laughing can that looks vaguely like one of your best friends would do that). It's likely Manny's death will be shown next in the finale and our questions about what the hell happened to Robin and Harry will be answered then.

Do these food guys have any given names yet? We know Sketchbook, Tony the Clock, Colin the Computer, Shringhold and Gilber the Globe. The only name I saw was The Healthy Band and I just see people calling them Steak, Can, Fridge, and Butcher.

I moved the Cans (Yes, there are multiple Cans) from the Teacher Characters to the Spoiler Characters list, considering we don't know of their connection with the Band and that they're the ones who kill Duck guy.

EDIT: Also,

wild mass guess The Cans represent Yellow Guy, because Yellow Guy is the one that eats the Duck guy Cans.

[up] I only noticed 3 cans. The one that is helping the Steak Chef and the Refrigerator. The big one that vaguely resembles Manny and eats Robin alive. And the one near the end that resembles the big one. They clearly are working with the Teacher here though (the Steak Chef). The reason as to why remains to be seen....

[up] There are at least 2 can monsters from what I can tell, because one leaves and then another comes in afterwards to continue eating Duck Guy. Obviously the non-sentient cans don't count.

I mean actually teaching real religions from real life. Not just singing about LOVE while the teachers just so happen to be cultists in the meantime...

I take it back. Episode 5 has really grown on me, and... It might actually be my favorite now. It doesn't hurt that it's really long, and it's got some great systems and pieces in there. Plus the song is great when it's not being interrupted.

I've heard the theme of the last episode is safety. What's the chances of them using a line in the song that goes "You won't get out alive" or "You won't get out dead"?

Before I was informed of that, I did guess that the last episode would involve some form of authoritarian figure instead of just some random objects being given life. I had a bunch of other predictions which haven't been returned yet, but I must have forgotten what they are.

[up][up]Okay so that was a thing....

I turns out the world Red Guy escaped to..... wasn't all that great for him either. Everyone there was basically him copypasted over. To make matters worse Yellow Guy is definitely aware that his friends are gone so yes he did not intentionally eat Duck Guy last episode. He also does not want to be roped into this dream song so the lamp teacher tries to kill him early. Red Guy actually stumbles upon Yellow Guy mid torture on some sort of control panel. He starts hit buttons to try to get his friend out but the buttons keep making things worse as they just keep switching the teacher which is freaking out Yellow Guy (Yellow Guy has a mental breakdown when he sees the Food Band). At one point hitting buttons actually brings Duck Guy back before switching to another teacher. Ultimately Red Guy is forced to pull the plug (by Roy, although what he wants isn't exactly made obvious) on the machine which just starts another loop of going through the learning videos again.

Red Guy accidentally reset the loop. Only now he and his friends are there favorite colors and it's now July 20th. So maybe this will change how the lessons go and they will all get out earlier?

I mean, I don't even know what the fuck this all means. What was Yellow Guy's dad doing? What was with Red's head exploding in Part 4 and him calling on the phone in Part 5? What the fuck does this all mean?

Here's my take on what it all means: the office imagery suggests that Red Guy moved on to adulthood, but because the lessons he's been given were all so useless, he ended up a dry, jaded creature surrounded by the likes of himself. Disgruntled, he can only think back to one good memory of his past life, that being the very first lesson (the least harmful of them all, or maybe simply because Red Guy used to be much more naive back then). The memories put him back into the system (the educational system, that is), but as someone who's been there and saw through the stream of brainwashing garbage, he gets to go straight to the control room. Red Guy tries to help Yellow Guy get out, but does not know what to do, only making it worse. That's when Roy appears. When I saw Roy's face juxtaposed with scenes of Yellow Guy suffering a breakdown, I realized that despite Roy being the one behing the controls, they made as little sense to him as they did to Red Guy because Roy is basically a grown-up version of Yellow Guy, his mind ruined by the same system he now gets to control. That might be why he shows so little resistance to Red Guy: he just does not know what to do anymore. As Red Guy pulls the plug, he resets the whole thing with a new set of characters who still resemble the main trio, symbolizing the start of a new generation of learners.

Phew. That's been quite an essay, but I needed to spill it all. That's why I love this series: it really makes me turn those dusty gears in my head.

Nonsense is better than no sense at all.

Not related to this episode, but it's something that I'm not completely sure about: is Duck Guy supposed to represent an old man? His answers in the interview are at times completely unrelated to the questions, but he's clearly smart and eloquent - too smart to be an airhead and too eloquent to be a child. He leaves an impression of an absent-minded person. And we all know that old people who can't catch up to modern times are pretty much forced to learn stuff through the media, the same way children often do. Besides, if all three characters are supposed to represent different generations (which I'm pretty sure is the deal here), then putting in another kid would be redundant. What do you think people?

Nonsense is better than no sense at all.
