Episode 10:

  • The fairy tale's in real time.
  • Seto's ancestor?
  • So that's the Otherrealm. And the snake got a kick out of the monster's naivety.
  • So Marry's the granddaughter.
  • Konoha, when did ya get here? Although it's kinda pointless to ask an Empty Shell such a question...
  • The fairy tale was replaced with a Marry tale. Perhaps foreshadowing things to come. Don't you listen to that snake! Hah, the snake is the root of all evil. Quite...symbolic?

Episode 11 was released, we get some more about Ayano and Kano and a lot of feels along with it and Ene gets her body back.

Odd that the Insert Song this time had the original vocals though, all in all, one of my favorite episodes and I can't wait for the last episode: Summertime Record.

So uh, Takane just gets her original body back? I don't exactly understand what happened between the end of Episode 9 and now. Also was Kano being his foster dad's lackey?

These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.

[up] Wasn't there like cloning vats(or something) with her and some guy(All the short haired guys look alike without cloths in a vat, so no idea who. Haruka maybe?). I think that had something to do with it, but I'm as confused as you.

They probably will explain things in the last episode. I'm guessing since Kano saw the experiments Kenjirou was doing on Takane and Haruka, maybe he knew of a way to bring Ene back into her body, that's what I'm guessing.

...Are they actually going to be able to tie things up with just one more episode?

I thought there would be a second season since I had heard that the last episode was going to Children Record, but since it's Summertime Record I can only they're able to tie all loose ends.

So everyone dies? died? something.

We finally get back to the present (I think). And we are gone again. I feel like this show is 90% flashback.

So Ayano was less suicide more heroic sacrifice. I'm confused though, if all the snakes in our world need to reunite to bring the monster back, how does getting a snake and staying in the other world stop that? Can't they just bring one more snake here later since all the snake in OUR world need to reunite and not all snakes that have ever been? ]] And back, just in time for a touching brother moment.

That was actually a pretty good plan, and for once the song didn't pull me out of the show.

Wtf was up with that moon.

He found her, d'awww.

I figure since Ene is a being of data it would be easier for her to just slip back into her body than any one else.

Regarding Shion and Marry...

Marry hasn't used any of her inherent gorgon powers yet. What she used before was an eye power from one of the snakes. Shion didn't have any snakes on her back then, so what she used was her natural petrifying gaze...which was far too much for her body to bear since she's only half-gorgon.

Episode 11. In which there's a song of convergence.

Nice moon.

She's scary, that pop idol.

Using yourself being dumb as an reason to talk with someone doesn't sound smart, for some strange reason.

Being tough is about being able to be scared and still do stuff.

The timeline here feels a lot fuzzier than what it tries to explain. Strange how that works out.

Calling someone cute who doesn't want to be seen as cute is generally a good way to make them look cute.

Sneak up on him? Running and shouting?

And everyone just walk in there and open the door? Feels kind of simple.

Why wouldn't she be wearing the scarf?

So, considering the stinger at the end of Episode 11... does that mean we're getting Outer Science in the next episode? (Or at least some variation of it...)

[up] We got Outer Science last episode. In the form of manga panels flashed on the screen.

There could be a flashback to Outer Science in the next episode as well, probably as they explain just what is going on. Maybe.

Episode 11:

  • Shintaro's on the move! By taking a pair of scissors to his neck.
  • Generic attack! And...Kido could've just made 'em be unnoticeable, or was it too late?
  • Ayano's 'suicide' is revealed.
  • Touching moment between brothers.
  • Everyone, listen to Momo's song! See, Hibiya? No way you can doubt her idol powers now... *Crap, I wonder if Hiyori heard the song? If she didn't, she will be upset. Hibiya's twice lucky!tongue
  • Takane, you got your body back. Uh...since when?tongue
  • Ayano, ya ready to be escorted out of that place?smile

This ending actually explained a lot of things I wasn't sure about, I like it.

And why didn't they make Seto X Marry canon yyyyyyyy.

[up][up] I think the implication is actually that everyone but Marry is dead. Remember, reclaiming the snakes reclaims the lives they're enabling, and reread Marry's last words after the cover+credits section. That reads kind of like "the summer scene was a Daydream Surprise" to me.

Of course, I'd like to be wrong, but... Remember how Haruka said he didn't have long? He was one of the people there.

Episode 12. In wish there's a which.

Facing a bunch of super powered kids. And you're a few nameless guards. Good luck.

A delicate flower can be rather funny. And quite a not-so-delicate flower.

Count on pervert power. Never fails. In anime.

That's one pincushion arm.

So, if it wasn't for her, all those things wouldn't happen. But wouldn't they have happened anyway? And they'd never get the chance to stop the loop.

Hey, look, he did appear. With backup.

"Make a wish!" Works just as well as when Madoka did it.

Who's that weird girl in that white dress? No red scarf?

But he's still wearing a jacket in that heat.

Overall I enjoyed this series. A little fuzzy, Studio SHAFT style. Though mostly I just had trouble separating some of the guys. They look too similar, and it doesn't help that one of them changes appearances and there are several versions of them.

Huh, I think that was actually the worst episode. Very stilted at times, uneven animation, and several things didn't get properly explained

Overall: Somewhere within the realm of 'good'? The entertainment value here is different enough from most things that I'm not sure how to rate it. In any case, I don't regret watching it

This is the final conclusive episode for the whole entire franchise.

SHAFT, the animation quality for this episode is horrible.

SHAFT, the animation quality for this episode is horrible.

Only some of the time! They seem to have focused on the action scenes, leaving the rest looking pretty bad. It'll probably look better on BD/DVD

[up][up] Well, Hiyori is screwed otherwise. Overall, a very odd show.

So my understanding is Father-Sensai kills everyone and Marry starts everyone thing over again in despair. So they broke the loop by....her letting everyone die? Obviously this is....better?

Let's essentially walk in place and talk! We will just scroll the same background beneath us. Wait now we are moving on to stairs! Letting me down with the animation here.

So Ene can just pop into her body whenever now, as I figured. I wouldn't exactly call that an action scene.

Huh, didn't see that coming really.

That wasn't much of an action scene either, just Dark Konoha one shotting ppl. Followed by Marry becoming the Queen.

She decided to end the loop and then...
