I thought he was seriously looking for a replacement.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Honestly we don't know for certain yet.
Gog-Agog is piiiiiissed.
Strength. Maya was given a simple order (shave her head), she ignored it, and wonders why Meti won't teach her.
Hey, free sword!
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."All things are free, if you Want them greatly enough.
Jesus christ Incubus! (gore warning)
That is an opportunist.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Finally a new page, iwonder why it got delayed.
You know, Mottom really seems the least powerful of the demiurges to me. Jagganoth and Mammon are both giant behemoths. Incubus and Salami Dave studied under some of the greatest fighters the multiverse has ever known. Gog Agog has almost infinite regeneration capabilities and Jadis has been mentioned by Abaddon as being a master sorceress and having seen the shape of the multiverse. Mottom seems to be the only one who doesn't have any noteworthy powers besides what her Key gives her. She couldn't even achieve or sustain her immortality without her husband, being the only of the Seven so far unable to do so. In fact, an old blog post mentions Mottom as being the weakest except for the trapped Jadis and the senile Mammon.
Seems like it got delayed because of the Lancer kickstarter.
Maya: Still bad at listening.
Actually now that Mammon seems to be thinking clearly again that just makes Mottom even weaker in comparison.
Also anyone else get the Diogenes reference about her corpse being fed to dogs?
Kind of interesting that Incubus was apparently a perfect, dutiful student from beginning to end.
What's precedent ever done for us?Did we read the same page?
It's mentioned in a previous page's alt-text that being fed to dogs is Meti's preferred form of burial:
As for killing her, she's very clear that the only purpose of swordsmanship is to kill people. Or to quit and become a farmer, of course.
What's precedent ever done for us?Who is that Goddess they are worshiping?
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."That would be Aesma.
Goddess of being batshit crazy and doing whatever random thing pops into your head, such as picking up the multiverse and whacking people with it.
She is also the creator of humanity, which is why they're so screwed up.
I'm reminded of the quote from Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri: Man has killed man from the beginning of time, and each new frontier has brought new ways and new places to die. Why should the future be different?
I can see why Meti is so cynical.
Aesma is the greatest goddess because she's not going to let anything stop her from doing what she wants, up to and including the laws of reality.

Sadly, real life seldom gives us such clear and unambiguous choices.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."
Kind of sort of not really. Giving his empire a way to fairly supplant him with the contest is just another sign of his pride, because he knows no one will ever actually beat him in a fair fight.
