I wanna play a Goblin Revolutionary trying to take down whatever dark lord has enslaved his kin.
That wiki you linked to has a ton of homebrew stuff to. Would a jester class be okay, or would it it be better to use another class and throw on face paint and a costume?
Totally gonna do a Halfing Were-Rat.
Here's me trying to adapt my Dn D character. Hope this is fine.
Name: Thurge Aemon
Gender/Age: Male/26
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Race: Half-Orc
Class: Barbarian
Level: 1
Equipment:
- Gear: Back Pack. Bed Roll. Flask. Flint and Steel. Torch.
- Weapons: Two War hammers, and a short bow. A quiver that is currently holding 15 arrows
- Clothing/Armor: Wears studded leather armor for combat, and Peasant clothes out of combat.
Skills/Abilities: Survival. Dark Vision. Orc Blood.
Appearance: 6'6'' tall, 190 lbs. Has greenish Grey skin, short but wild black hair. Has a large scar that runs across his chest and two that run parallel on his right cheek. Has blue eyes.
Backstory: The Bastard son of a wealthy woman and a half-orc warrior. Theirs was a labor of love, one that was hard for the woman's family to accept. They tried to force the child away from her, but in the end allowed it to be kept in secrecy. This child, named after his father, was Thurge who took his mother's family name after leaving home at the age of 15. He spent several years in the wild, hoping to find his father or a clan of orcs hoping to find a new home. In this time he learned how to live off the land, and taught himself to fight with the two war hammers his father had left with his mother for him.

Hmmm. Allwyas wanted to try being a cleric. Maybe a bard?
But first, one question: Can I be a graveknight?

So what level roughly is this campaign set at? I don't mind if it's low but I'm thinking about playing a Cattine which would automatically make him 2nd level equivalent.
Trump delenda estReading the OP is hard. The starting levels are 1-5, and each major quest will just net you a new level.
I imagine he doesn't plan on enforcing level adjustment or anything that technical, so don't worry too much about it. (This is all my take on it, and he's free to virtually smack me if I'm wrong.)
As for me, my planned character's backstory is a little complicated, so I'd like confirmation if it's okay if I take a few liberties with the setting to make it happen. (It's nothing that contradicts the OP, but I do need to know how much of the world he has planned out.)

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Do we have to give you info about the specialty classes?
Good to be backedit: Think I may pull out of this one. CHEERS!

Yeah, Fantasy, enforce one level.
Will get to approving signups/clearing up any questions tomorrow. Right now - I am going to bed.
"You're an enemy of art and I pity your ignorance" - Domingo Montoya Help save the rainforest for free simply by going to Ecosia.org.Was thinking of maybe playing a Kyton with lvls fighter outside of its monster class, but wonder if I still should with a cleric on board. Is the tone of the quest too serious for a joke character? I'm half tempted to play a harpy bard with a background as a pirate. I might just settle on a changeling rogue.
How do you kill that which has no life?don't worry about it.
I'm going to be playing a half-elf druid most likely.
Druid was sort of what I was planning too, although I was going full wild elf with it.
Hmmm...keep the idea for interesting interactions, or switch to a dwarf of some sort? Decisions, decisions...
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I'm probably going to be going with a Human Paladin, I figure this RP could use some more vanilla races.

Noting a lack of arcane firepower so I'll probably go with an Evoker Wizard.
Trump delenda estI want to try something different, so I'll go probably go Drow Arachromancer. Probably something interesting.

If I know what I'm doing, then I'll do it amazingly. If I don't know what I'm doing, I'll fail spectacularly.I'll probably go with a Human Wirebound Berserker.
Good to be backGoblin Magus
Gnome Wererat Ranger with a Hawk animal companion.
- Name: Krelmer
- Gender/Age: Male of thirty winters
- Race: Human
- Class: Wirebound Berserker
- Level: 5
- Equipment: Krelemer wields Banedrinker, an Iron zweihander, with a cold, black iron coil wrapped around it's hilt and cross guard, which grants incredible pain to any who hold it. He also possesses and iron gauntlet which he wears around his left wrist,
- Skills/Abilities:
- Blasphemous Stamina: Krelmer is unhampered by starvation, cold, heat, blood loss, dehydration and never tires.
- Pain Drink Krelmer's a Wirebound Berserker, the more pain he is in, the more strong he becomes, he feels no pain, and can only be stopped by being decapitated, or breaking or cutting off all of his limbs.
- Healing: Krelmer can reattach limbs to his own body, healing them, the process takes about an hour and is agonizingly painful, Krelmer touches the fresh wound to his stump, and over the course of an hour, the wire burrows into the new limb, reattaching it to Krelmer, however, it must be fresh limb and it can only be attached to a fresh wound, or else it will have a problem, such as being completely numb, or rotting.
- Spell Resist: Any spell that boosts or heals that targets Krelmer instead deals mind blanketing agony to him.
- Strength Krelmer is incredibly strong, capable of lifting his 29 lb sword with one hand, however, it is still rather unwieldy.
- Appearance: Krelmer has messy brown hair and and brown eyes, The Right Side of his face is covered with a brand in the shape of twisting thorns, and his right eye is milky white and blind. He wears leather boots and a kilt, and has a long, black barbred iron wire wrapped tightly around his body, he is missing his right arm just above the shoulder which is wrapped tightly in the wire.
- Back story: A proud warrior from the snowy mountains of Khorm, Krelmer was engaged in countless battles, however, one day, his brother, the leader of the clan raped his wife, and Krelmer killed him, however, he was caught, branded with the mark of a traitor and sold to Necromancer who experimented on him, turning him into the abomination called a Wirebound Berserker, however, the Necromancer was killed by an assassin, and now Krelmer wanders the land, as a mercenary, if only for the hopes he may die in battle.
Here's my character, I kind of slapped something together on the spot, so this probably needs a lot of work.
- Name: Serena
- Gender/Age: Female, 27
- Race: Half-Elf
- Class: Wizard
- Level: 5
- Equipment: Dagger, Spellbook, Lantern, Black Robe, Black Boots
- Skills/Abilities: Serena has the following spells, all taken from the Pathfinder/3.5 rulebooks
- Magic Missile
- Detect Magic
- Acid Arrow
- Shocking Grasp
- Fireball
- Ray of Exhaustion
- Vampiric Touch
- Break Enchantment
- Appearance: http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=1142032
- Backstory: Born to a human father and an Elven mother, Serena was raised by her mother in the wooded groves of an Elven village and always had an interest in the arcane. Since she could read, Serena began to study magic, in particular the school of necromancy, an interest she has kept in secret and covered up with the study of other spells as well. She doesn't want to harm anyone with the magic of necromancy, she just finds it fascinating, much like any other magic, and at the age of sixteen, in order to hone her general arcane skills, she joined the local Mages Guild as an apprentice and over the years, honed her skills to become a journeyman mage. Now that her interest in necromancy has largely passed, she has decided to travel to Eridell and work for the Mages Guild's hall in the town and research at their sizeable arcane library.

Wow. A lot of stuff to go through on this post. My fault for putting it off I guess.
- @Nman: Yes you can play as a jester or throw on facepaint to another class. It's up to you.
- @ Dont Look Back: Thurge Aemon is accepted although I have one small comment. I'm assuming that the bow Thurge carries has a quiver and arrows, no? If it does, I'd like a count of how many arrows he has in it.
- @ Doorhandle: Doing a quick Google search, I'm assuming that a graveknight isn't really a part of Dungeons And Dragons proper. The atmospehere in this RP is trying to evoke those classic Tabletop sessions of DND so I'm not going to allow classes from other RP's at the time. Sorry. Cleric and Bard would work though.
- @ Totemic Hero: You are correct in my level enforcement policy. I won't be too strict. PM me your backstory ideas. I haven't planned too much of the world outside Eridell so you'll probably be fine unless it's super crazy.
- @ Troyand regarding specialty classes: I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean like telling me what the class is in the signup? I have the Internet if I want to look that up so you don't have to unless you want to of course.
- @ Immortal Neet: The tone of this RP isn't anything but fun. At least I'm hoping it will be that way. You guys can have as silly or serious character that you want. Just keep in mind that if your only goal in creating either type is to annoy the other players, that's probably not a good goal and I will most certainly PM you about your behavior if I suspect such a thing. Not saying that you specifically will do that but since I was on the topic, I thought I'd throw it out there.
- @ Multiple Classes: It's fine to have two mages or two thieves or two warriors or two of anything provided the characters themselves are different enough. Don't feel that someone has already claimed a certain class just because they happen to have a character approved that is of that class. The same is true of race. Trust me - I'll try and coordinate monster fights around the dynamic of the group (although not always ) so you don't have to worry about affecting party dynamics or the like.
- @ Troyand regarding Krelmer: Still not quite sure what a "wirebound" beserker is so you're going to have to explain that to me clearer. Also, Krelmer's abilities seem a tad overpowered what with the increased strength due to pain. Plus, I'm pretty sure Beserkers don't typically have Heal within them although I could be wrong about that. So please revamp him and I'll give it another looksee when you do.
- @ Paulie Romanov: Serena seems fine and is accepted though you're free to expand on her sheet if you want. Just let me know before you do. Also, this goes for all other magic users too, just because you have knowledge of the spell doesn't necessarily mean it will work on certain enemies or in certain environments. Also, the physical state of the spellcaster will definitely affect the quality of the spell. So a mage who just warded off fifteen wolves is going to have a much harder time casting a Fireball spell than a similarly-powered mage who just got a good night's sleep. Her Fireball might even backfire. Literally. So keep that in mind.

"You're an enemy of art and I pity your ignorance" - Domingo Montoya Help save the rainforest for free simply by going to Ecosia.org.
Throughout the many villages, towns, and settlements across the land, one city stands above all others; Eridell - place of kings and adventurers. It is a majestic city with merchants of all calibers and citizens of all species located within the outer ring and a truly impressive and beautiful castle in the center of the city.
The people there are normally quite happy and welcoming to travelers and strangers. However, recently, the townspeople, and even King Tor himself, are becoming more pensive and brooding due to the recent attacks on the city. The attacks seem coordinated - as if controlled by some powerful leader - and contain hideous monsters from every corner of the land, though the majority of the belligerents appear to be goblins. While the heroic City Guardsmen and the king's knights have been able to repel the attackers, they are stretched thin which means that the citizens who have their own problems must turn to mercenaries and adventurers to help them.
Mr. Barnabus Browning is one such citizen. He is a halfling who owns an antique shop within the city and has recently suffered a breakin. He claims that three goblins came into his store at night, knocked him out, and stole only one thing; a ring that can grant the wearer three wishes. Obviously, this makes it quite valuable and Mr. Browning has put flyers all over town begging any prospective hero or mercenary to come to his aid and retreive his ring.
This is where you come in. You are to play as one of these heroes and get back what was stolen. Along the way, you'll discover that perhaps there was more to this robbery than meets the eye...
Keep in mind that this RP is basically a Broad Strokes version of Dungeons And Dragons so you'll have to have Dn D spells, races, and so forth. Being a Broad Strokes version of Dn D, I'll allow you guys to combine spells from multiple books and soforth. Don't feel daunted if you've never played Dungeons before, as there is a very helpful wikia to aid in your character creation! Have fun!
For signups I'd like...
I know that the above is hardly what a standard Dn D character sheet has on it but remember this is a Dn D inspired RP adapted to a Play-by-Post medium. So we don't need attributes or the like. However, you can post attributes on your character sheet if you think it will help you envision your character.
