Hufflepuff villains could run the gamut really. Remember that one of the points of the House is that it accepts "all the rest". In other words, anyone who doesn't quite fit into any of the other Houses.

Disgusted, but not surprisedHufflepuffs tend to be the house that feels like it the most slighted. Because they have the reputation of being "the rest, " they rarely gain the kind of glory the other three Houses regularly see. As a result they're usually feel either envious or like they're not worth much to be noticed for accolades. It's like you do the hard work but like other people do the same with less effort and more visibility.

Burning love! That's a big part of why they were resentful of Harry in book 4. They finally had a shot at glory when Cedric was chosen as Hogwarts champion...then Harry Potter steals the show. Again.
Disgusted, but not surprisedAND THEN... they just fade back into the background. AGAIN. Cedric could have been a turning point of accepting to then criticizing the house system and the rivalry and problems it creates. It brings it up but then never really does anything about it.
I think the most we end with is Dumbledore saying they sort too soon in the 7th book and that means nothing when the final chapter of the series is exactly that problem being discussed rather than actually doing anything about it. Harry's talk with his kid is a 1-1 personal problem solution to what is ultimately a societal problem.
But to not make this too much of discussing the books over the game, I'm still curious how the game will address the house system.
Also, why do we not discuss Hogwarts Mystery?
I for one just find its pay-or-wait monetization a bit too egregious.
Disgusted, but not surprisedRemember that. It got pretty ridiculous.
Wake me up at your own risk. There's a short "immersion" trailer for Hogwarts Legacy, capitalizing Playstation 5 features (house colors, haptic feedback) and 4k visuals.
A Hufflepuff villain could be a wizard communist with the "equality" virtue and all that.

Where there's life, there's hope.I don’t know what half the features being boasted about are, frankly. House colors? Yeah, I like to paint my house white, but I don’t know why you would boast about that. Haptic feedback? Is that what happens when you whack your funny bone on a desk corner? And more importantly, why does any of this matter when what people look for in games is good storytelling, good gameplay, or both?
“Now! Let us engage in the art of deduction!”Haptic feedback is basically a souped-up version of controller rumble for added immersion. One of the selling points for the PS5 is how advanced the feedback in the Dualsense controller is (as someone who has one now, it feels quite excellent). The house colors thing is basically saying the controller lights will glow the appropriate color of your Hogwarts house (red for Gryffindor, yellow for Hufflepuff, blue for Ravenclaw, and green for Slytherin).
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonSo, this wasn't shared yet, but a new trailer came out, and we see a new character and certain events in the game... including learning a forbidden curse.
Wake me up at your own risk.Didn’t know the development had been given to From Software.
Meh, Star Wars got the Souls treatment. It was Harry Potter's turn.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).So, the Common Rooms look pretty cool
I remember when I first did the Pottermore house sorting quiz.
I thought I was a sure in for Slytherin because of my evil black heart, but I got Ravenclaw instead.
Guess it's because I wasn't racist.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I was trying for Hufflepuff but I ended up Gryffindor. I can be a show off and a bit "head on without thinking" but I do have moments of when things should be pragmatic over whatever is not pragmatic.
Burning love!So is there any reason to go Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff? I always had the impression that if you matter in the HP universe you're in Gryffindor or Slytherin, and if you're not a homicidal psychopath you're in any house that isn't Slytherin.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Such Luna Lovegood erasure.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Cedric also mattered in a Sacrificial Lion way.
Disgusted, but not surprisedDid Luna... actually do anything after the book she appeared in?
Serious ask - I only watched the later films in bits and pieces and got a general understanding of how the plot ended.
I remember her organizing her imaginary friends to give Harry and co a lift.
I was super crushing on her actress at the time, so nothing against the character, but I genuinely lost track of the character in the subsequent films.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).She went on a date with Harry at the Yule Ball, and was kidnapped by Death Eaters in the last book.
Her dad even debuted in Deathly Hallows.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. The thestrals? Those were legit creatures, and pretty docile, although ones that have a rather messed up condition to be seen.
Wake me up at your own risk.Yeah only people who saw a death up close can see them.
Which leads to a moment with Luna and Harry who have experienced death.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Harry Potter: Wizards Unite had a somber moment where it's noted that after the Battle of Hogwarts, pretty much all of the students who survived it could see thestrals afterwards.
Disgusted, but not surprised
TBH, I've wondered if Hufflepuff would end up being a 'My Country Right or Wrong' idiot.
