Wayne Enterprises: since multiple retellings have had W.E specialize in defense development, medical equipment, nuclear energy, and public transportation, I'd say that the closest real-life equivalent would be Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

Lex Corp: most attention to Lex Corps focuses on their work as a renowned defense contractor and close ties with the US government, with less emphasis on producing consumer goods or services (as far as I know) than Wayne Enterprises. It makes sense to be that the closest real-life equivalent would be BAE Systems.

Star Labs: Since one of the backstories of STAR Labs has it as a non-governmental research institute, the closest equivalent would probably be CERN.

In fairness, the Star Sapphires have always been pretty messed up so their entity being called a Predator makes sense. And I say this as someone who is also a huge critic of Johns.

So, how often do you think superheroes buy their own merch?

I always wanted a parallel universe where Creator Provincialism doesn't apply. Here's my take on it, I'd like to see yours:

• Superman: America. Mainly to keep the whole "Jewish immigrants/Moses with aliens"
• Batman: Mexico. Nod to how Zorro is Mexican, who of course was a major influence on him. Or maybe England because Sherlock Holmes
• Aquaman, Wonder Woman and the Martian Manhunter: They're already from outside America, though J'onn could end up as an English detective and Aquaman is Caribbean or Icelandic
• Green Lantern: China, given the Golden Age Green Lantern's lantern comes from there in a Mythology Gag. Kyle Rayner's equivalent would be Japanese because he loves manga
• The Flash: Honestly I think he could go anywhere.

Okay I am now writing a 7-page research paper about Grant Morrison, specifically about the use of drugs in his writing & his love of continuity (may add some more stuff).

If anyone knows of any good academic journals about him let me know please.

Apparently, HiC #2 is the issue where Harley kicks the Trinity's collective ass. I don't know that for certain, just seen Twitter chatter hinting at it. I hope it's not true.
