Pseudo Deity is a tad too high of a power level... and you say he's a traveler from another universe?

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

mhm, that's the part i thought might be too much.

aright, give me a bit to figure out how to tweak him to fit, or who else to use.

Pretend there's something clever written here.

okay so ideas that might fit are:

trickster something-other-than-a-diety with shapeshiftign and illusions

scatterbrained wizardess with an unbeleivably huge pool of mana but no ability at actual casting so she has to rely on her own home-made magical artifacts to do any magic

self-conscious "animate object" spell who needs to drain magic fro mother sources to keep itself active and can cast itself to other stuff

Pretend there's something clever written here.

After this, I think Herb and Natsumi'll be my active characters, though I guess I could still control Kasumi if she's needed for... some reason.

  • Name: Herb. Well... that's not her name, at all, but she seems to have settled on using it whilst in the USA, so it's all anyone has to go on.
  • Age: About 500, give or take a century. Seems to have enjoyed the Sengoku Jidai.
  • Gender: Female
  • Religion: If she had one, her prospects would be looking up.
  • Race: Asura. A very weak Asura, which basically makes her a watered-down version of a watered-down version of deity-level entities... but this is still bad news for any unfortunate, unprotected mortal to piss her off.
  • Appearance: Not indicated: she's about six and a half feet of muscle.
  • Personality: Irritable, prideful, and prioritising strength and entertainment over, say, doing any good. Oh, and Herb really enjoys fighting. It is as of no surprise that she often hires herself out as criminal muscle, especially because the number of normal people that pose a major threat to her are remarkably slim. Has absolutely no compunctions against killing, but doesn't really take an interest in it, either: if you die, you die; she won't take care to prevent it or hasten it.
She is, however, a great person to hang around if you like drinking. If nothing violent is happening, chances are she'll be emptying the nearest liquor cabinet.
  • Bio: She got kicked out—or ran away, it's rather unclear—for being so damn weak. And she's been causing trouble with humans ever
  • Skills: Despite being very weak by the standards of the Asura, Herb still has a nasty bunch of supernatural abilities—and some surprising martial arts skill, back from one of the few times a human beat her in a fist fight, and she managed to control herself for any length of time (if it can be believed, she was even more impulsive and self-centred before that). Her supernatural skills are:
    • Enhanced Strength—getting punched by her hurts.
    • Supernatural Resilience—handguns basically result in scratches. High-powered weapons (such as stuff meant to pierce vehicles) fail to inflect lethal wounds and just result in minor injuries. Anti-tank stuff? That'll keep her out of commission until it heals. It's not, however, imperviousness to a certain level of force. Rather, the reduction in damage is based on the source. Broadly, the more magical it is, the more it hurts her; ditto for anything targeting her weaknesses. For instance, weak magical attacks and items will do more damage than mundane stuff, but less than cold iron, which is then worse than roasted soybeans. Powerful magic and items specifically targeted at Asura do the most.
Supernatural creatures? Their bodies also pierce it.
Even at her most vulnerable, Herb is still tougher than a human, though it's basically the same as having biker leathers on. A little protection, but not all that much.
    • Lack of Needs: Eating? Drinking? Sleeping? Herb doesn't need to do any of these things. Yet she'll do them all anyway, because they're enjoyable.
  • Possessions and Assets: Has a couple of thousand dollars on her person, from prior jobs and people stupid enough to pick a fight. She generally forgets about it unless someone else prompts her to buy something. She prefers to leech off people.

First somewhat tweaked seems to be your best bet Sir Screwloose.

Raineh: Alright, that resilience is way beyond what I expected from our talks, Raineh. Being able to take a tank round to the face and survive is too much. She should be resilient but not to those extremes. For example, being shot with conventional weapons may not be able to kill her on most occasions but it should be able to hurt her.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

I think this one should be acceptable. [lol]

  • Name: Ambre Arielle Augustin
  • Age: 48. Looks half that.
  • Gender: Female
  • Religion: Apathetic.
  • Race: At the least, half human, but most certainly not entirely.
  • Appearance: This has two things right: the body, and the smoking. Ambre pretty much always wears suits, and preferably nice ones.
  • Personality: A thrill-seeker of loose morals, Ambre could do a lot of good with her abilities—but she simply doesn't care. There's no risk to her, and it wouldn't pay well besides. Things that aren't dangerous but get her heart racing anyway also work... but she couldn't think of anything like that she could make a job out of.
  • Bio: Ambre never knew her mother, and her father was a gruff man unwilling to talk too much about it, and honestly not much good with talking at all. He's still alive, but has no clue just what his daughter's up to...
Which is hiring herself out to anyone that needs use of her talents. Breaking into safes that are supposedly indestructible. Controlled, fiery destruction that leaves no evidence. Or even just a threat playing on primal fears. If it can be done by setting it on fire, she's pretty useful.
And when jobs are tight, she does fireworks displays. Rather dull, but at least it looks good.
  • Skills: On the mundane side of things, Ambre is a good cook and an acceptable driver, and is remarkably adept at disguising her hair. On the supernatural?
    • Fire Magic: Without any proper training, just talent and experimentation, Ambre is rather... adept with burning stuff. Simple fireballs don't need that much thought. Concentration can up that to something bigger—or a coherent stream of flame. Enough time and effort can yield strange effects, like a blazing inferno that'll torch a whole building until it's naught more than ash and slag, yet not step an inch beyond its boundaries. A special favourite of hers is a jet of magical fire a few inches long that makes short work of basically any inorganic material, though it takes several minutes to get working.
On top of this, she's fireproof. Not immune to smoke inhalation or falling beams, though, so she generally wants to get out of burning buildings as much as anyone else. Plus her clothes don't share this sort of bonus.
    • Improved Health and Ageing: Ambre ages unusually slowly, and medical examinations don't show any of the expected signs of someone who's been chain smoking for the past thirty-five years.
  • Possessions and Assets: A simple van, second-hand but with an intact coat of paint, an apartment in Volwick, rather a large selection of less conspicuous clothes than her normal attire... and her props. Lots of tubes and bits of fuel pumps and the like, and at least one gun-like contraption, that overall do absolutely nothing, but lets her do her thing without normal people questioning what the hell's happening. Relying on glamour? Hah, better shore that up.

  • Name: Andromikus Pyrrhicus Slake (Nicknamed Andy)
  • Age: 95
  • Gender: Male
  • Religion: Ancient Greek in particular he worships Hermes
  • Race: A young Gorgon, claims to be a direct descendant of Medusa
  • Appearance: Wears a very baggy red hoodie with the hood up to conceal his wings and snake hair. Andy has a willowy build suited to one so closely associated with serpents. He also wears a pair of thick shades to conceal his slitted eyes and to prevent accidents. He has very pale skin and those who do see underneath the hood see what looks like blackish-grey hair due to his head of Black Mambas.
  • Personality: Andy's a tad bit of a recluse tending to wander aimlessly when he has nothing else to do. He loves music and will often visit dance clubs just to listen to the beats. He's quite socially isolated due to the constant low hissing of his "hair" which puts off humans instinctively even if they don't consciously register the sound.
  • Bio: Andy originally hails from Greece and moved to America, and Volwick, early in life. When he arrived he initially provided some muscle for local gangs in exchange for some money to buy food but he has since quit that and currently runs the night shift in an antique shop. He has an arrangement with the owner to claim certain items at half off normal price, he mainly uses this to claim potentially harmful magical artifacts to keep them out of the mundane population as well as peddling them off to other supernaturals and magic users for cash.
  • Skills:
    • Petrifying Gaze: Any being that directly meets his gaze will be turned to stone... eventually... it generally takes a handful of minutes to petrify a mundane human and can take several hours to seriously effect something both as large and as magical as a troll.
    • Peddler: He's got a good eye for a deal and is an expert haggler.
    • Magic: Just some low powered illusions to help hide out in the human world
    • Mystic Eyes: Can see magic and auras easily unless obscured with very specific spells
    • Supernatural Strength and Stamina: Can easily pick up most humans without trouble and can crack stone if he doesn't mind a sore hand later. Also can run a good mile, mile-and-a-half without being out of breath
    • Wings: Can fly at around 20mph for about 30 minutes at a time before tiring
    • Weaknesses:
      • Has an intense phobia of mirrors
      • Cannot see through any type of invisibility
      • After flying he is very tired and must catch his breath
  • Possessions and Assets:
    • Possesses a decent amount of stored funds (around $700-$800) and pulls in about $750 a month
    • Owns a small flat where he lives
    • Currently has a rather curious amulet to sell
    • Has a bike
    • Has a stock of common reagents for potions and spells
