Alus was briefly seen when May had the Seltsam in that choke-hold, so maybe there's something there. It could be that the Seltsam pilot is basically an independent extension of Alus. Like a specially-crafted commander unit for the One-eyes.

Shit has done more than hit the fan, it made itself fists just to pummel it.

This might be my most favorite episode yet.

I knew that it wasn't a game and that the furries were people, but I was not expecting Jed to die. So much for the Build series having no consequences.

That was... much more impactful than superweapons tend to be in Gundam. Not just in what happened in the plot, but the direction did a lot to emphasize the enormous power involved. Quite an impressive episode

And we now have even more questions about what the hell Eldora and its furry population are, if hurting them can bring down the entire Internet.

Well holy shit... the part that really has me invested was how they put the Title halfway through, after they've failed.

As for what these people are, well the GBN network does make A.I.s, maybe they were a story quest mission that grew beyond their programming, the GBN Admins basically being god in this circumstance.

And just like last time, they're as incompetent as they were two years ago.

Because by leaving Alus there, they basically unintentionally allowed the internet to start to crash.

I don't think this is a GBN thing. I think it's a backdoor to something bigger. A DARPA project in the bowels of the Internet, or something? Could be getting all Summer Wars up in this shit.

So the preview basically confirmed Parv is Sharhy's little brother, May is going to kill whoever stuffed her in the costume, and Hinata might finally join in on the action. On the other hand, everything is going to hell, and they made their own fanbase cry over furries. What even is this series anymore?

Some I just realized about the cover image for Re:RISE;

The characters are in an oval surrounded by a white background, but the background has some shading around the top of it. I think it's someone's eye, with the characters and their Gunpla being reflected in their iris.

Guessing next episode will be both a breather and the start of this mystery.

[up] It definitely seems like Hiroto may get a chance to properly meet Parviz and May in the Real World, as well as maybe Kazami. If not next episode, then I'm sure the episode after.

I've seen speculation that Kazami is part of a fishing family (hence his aversion to water and references to fishing), guess we'll see in one or two episodes. Betting he works at a fish shop by day.

[up] I've seen some theories that Kazami might actually be a girl, and I have a theory that Kazami might actually be a kid around Parviz's age. I've also had the theory that Kazami's tough-guy bravado might be an act, and in real life they're actually a very shy person. While I don't hold clout to any of these, I'm highly assumed by the idea of Macho Braggart Manly Man Kazami actually being Kazami Torimachi the Antisocial Quiet Little Girl.

Judging by what Kazami said in that one Dive Battle episode, I'm guessing he's actually embarrassed by his experience in the fishing business.

It's clear that Kazami is a fisher or otherwise in the fishing industry and is embarrassed by that. I think he's probably male based on the "men of the sea" line, but, yeah, wouldn't be surprised if he's a lot younger and weedier than his avatar

I don't remember where, but I think I saw one theory that thinks that there'll be a timeskip for Eldora, where it'll have been years since the BUILD DiVERS were last even if it hasn't really been that long for them. While I don't fully believe it, it did give me a fun idea for Freddie. Since in his perspective the BUILD DiVERS just left after everything went to fubar, he no longer respects them and has severe resentment towards them instead. Also, because he's older, he now pilots his own mech to combat the Eldora Army, built from the scraps of other Eldora Mecha-Mooks (Like a "One-Eyes Traitor", if you will).

Just a silly theory I have, pretty sure it won't actually happen.

Considering that they talk about about the "Creators" as though they were actual gods around millennia beforehand, it's not entirely implausible.

The BUILD DiVERS meet in real life, we get some more info on Masaki Shido and confirmation that he is the Seltsam's pilot, Eldora is not a part of GBN and everything our heroes have been through was real, and Core Gundam gets an upgrade.

Also, Nanami being a secret agent is something I never knew I wanted.

No next episode preview this time, though I'm sure we'll get a new opening and ending.

EDIT: Also Eve did die, but we're not given specific details on how she died.

So heads up, this was a season finale and the second season doesn't air until April. source

It was a good episode though. Eldora being an actual alien world was somewhat unexpected, but Secret Agent Nanami was the real shocker.

"Re:RISE" will start airing on Broadcast TV on January 28 next year.

Doing the math, the second season will most likely start on April 21, after the first season has already run its cour.

So, here's hoping S2 brings more Rozen Maiden antics for May

So, wait, I was actually right on Alus being somewhat alien in nature? ...I Knew It!

As for GBN mechanics somehow working on Eldora, I'll put down to magic.
