You also unlock dailies that give you a few hundred a day. Leveling a hero to 5 gives you 500 as well. They're also adding gold bonuses for player levels at some point. Next patch?

I like playing Zagara, Sgt. Hammer, and Abathur so far.

Li Li, Sgt. Hammer, and Arthas are the only characters I own at the moment, been grinding through the different characters for cash and trial purposes. Probably getting Nova next.

I own Zagara, Sonya, and Raynor right now, but I really don't play Raynor anymore since they emphasized his status as a beginners hero.

Zagara is a hoot especially, and I've currently got Tyrael and Sgt. Hammer as the heroes I'm most likely to unlock next.

This is something I just took note lately... Because my first quick match ended in in defeat. However, there's also one guy who keeps issuing orders and gets pissy when no one listens and dismissing those who actually STUCK with him. As a result he calls everyone trolls and then becomes a leaver.

Is it just me or if I play a MOBA game in a Solo Queue and see someone trying to issue orders about who goes where... that guy is going to be a whiny ass who eventually becomes toxic as fuck? This 'Wannabe-Commander' kind of guy is seriously a bane to solo queue players...

And thanks a lot for making my first non-bot game unpleasant!

All I've seen of Raynor while playing him is that the one thing he is not is an Assassin. His kit doesn't do it very well (you don't knock back someone you are trying to kill and Hyperion is a Siege weapon and his health back is a tank ability while his attack speed steroid is half support.) and he can't beat any other assassin one on one. He is a ranged offensive support.

Stuck with just ETC, but I pretty much like him. Not only he's a Tauren, my favorite race in Azeroth, he pretty much has the pre-nerf Mandrop— I mean, COWdrop.

How do you deal with Nova? She seems to be the most powerful champion by far.

Nova is pretty squishy, though. She could kill people fast, but she goes down just as fast. Basically, stick with your team and bait her to go gung ho and attack you and then stunlock her. A revealed and focused Nova pretty much gives her a high chance of dying.

Speaking of Nova, I'll need to learn how to fool people so they'll think they're attacking me but actually attacking my hologram.

she doesn't go down as fast because she cloaks and clones

Raynor used to be very auto-attack focused and damn effective as an assassin. Haven't played him since the change.

As for Nova, watch for the rippling effect from her cloak. I think everyone but Li Li can break it with a skill shot or AE attack. She's fragile as hell and you have three seconds before she can cloak again. The decoys have a very limited AI so they move around a little and attack—the Nova running away is the one you want. I've actually been able to save myself a few times by running towards the guys chasing me since they assumed I was the stupid decoy.

Also, if you're playing a hero who can take the Burning Rage talent (Muradin, Gazlowe, and Uther are the ones I remember having it, there may be others), do so if you're up against Nova or Zeratul. The effect auto-damages and decloaks them for you, as long as you get close enough.

Rhegar is also almost inescapable with Ghost Wolf and Lightning Shield. Had one riding my ass when I was on Nova and it wasn't pretty.

So according to the Blizzard model, Assassin is more "general DPS" than "pick out an enemy hero, hunt them down and kill them quickly"? (Though now that I've asked the question, I've realized that you can use Zeratul, Nova, Valla and Tychus like the latter...)

[up] I think it covers both categories. I get the feeling it may also encompass characters who might normally be warriors but have range.

Diving into Co-op with Sylvanas, she's a first day purchase for me. Not the bundle though, I'm cheap and my entertainment money is spoken for at the moment.

I think Sylvanas is going to get a price drop if you're not using real money. I mean, look at the Lost Vikings. Goes from 15000 to 10000.

That being said I have a question... Does Nova always have this long ponytail? I thought her ponytail based on the screenshots in SC 2 is pretty short. Was that supposed to be based on her design in SC Ghost?

A number of characters have their appearance Flanderized for this game. Muradin is probably the single biggest example: this is his beard in the main universe. Compare to his ridiculous bush of a beard in HOTS.

Yeah, I see more of a Mountain King when I saw Muradin in HOTS.
