Erwin and Hange both carry two swords (with replacement blades in case) Hange has an injured left shoulder (from an arrow attack), rendering her left arm nearly useless, currently Erwin is in good shape (this is before he lost his right arm, otherwise it's not very fair for both of them to have arm handicaps, ok)-

\*desperately pulls one of her wings over herself, and the axe blade sinks into it, soaking her feathers with blood, causing her aura of flame to flare up*

Malachi is unnaffected by the flames, and parries the sword with the Hamaxe's own blade.
