And this time they remembered to tell a coherent story.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI have heard that it might be considered bad to get commissions of your OC(s) done by artists on multiple occasions. Is this true?
I heard that one when one of the ask blogs I followed was asked something similar iirc and since that point, I have had doubts about getting my OCs made through commissions. I kind of feel pretty selfish requesting them made.
Avatar by Pastel Mistress: http://pastelmistress.deviantart.com/If you're willing to spend the money, and the artist agrees to do it, then what would be the problem?
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I don't know really. The person who the ask blog replied to seemed to take issue with it. From what it sounded like, they were fed up of seeing certain people's characters or something.

"No will to break."So, what about the theories floating around that the CMC's marks might be changed or removed by events in the season finale? I don't mind a heavy plot development, but considering how powerful "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" was and how much that would be undercut, that really had better not happen. You know, aside from the temporary changes to the present.
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty.Looking at the models themselves, it's pretty clear that their cutiemarks are copied and pasted on them rather than integrated into their models...
so that theory might hold water since they didn't put the effort into creating new models with the cutiemarks, which could mean it wasn't worth creating the new models because they were just going to be removed anyway...
but at the same time, it's my little pony. They're not going to do that.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-Mae@Mudkipz: That sounds more like a case of "Stop drawing OCs and draw what I want". If the artist is okay with it, go for it.
@Irish: I'm surprised that that event wasn't spoiled for you.
@Yami: They might be changed or removed temporarily, but I'd be very surprised if they were gone altogether.

Reaction Image Repository"I want Shadow the Hedgehog as a pony" is a bad starting point for any commission.
Just a funny thought.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectBut what if I want Shadow the Hedgehog as an anime girl??◊
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeWhat about a pony as Shadow the Hedgehog?
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Touche. She wears it well though.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI think one thing that helps in Ryuko's case is that some of her edginess is intentionally played for humor, and in general how most of the show is over the top ridiculous and silly. She doesn't stick out like a sore thumb like Red and Black OC's or Shadow in his own game {He wasn't so bad in Sonic Adventure 2, but in Shadow The Hedgehog everything about him and the game screams "Ow The Edge!"}. Dare I say she actually manages to look pretty cool and sexy the way she is.
Speaking of poorly handled edginess, one problem I have with a lot of Fallout Equestria fics {Be it the original or one of it's many spin offs} is that those fics tend to be all like "Look at how dark, edgy and violent we are! Such edge, such deppressingness!" and generally goes so far up the grimdark scale that it might as well shouldn't even be involving MLP to begin with. I do like Fallout Equestria, and stuff like Project Horizons aren't bad stories, but it's still a major problem I have with that "Series" of fanfics. I mainly feel this way due to it involving a series that's generally lighthearted and such. If it had instead been a Fallout crossover with, say for random example Madoka Magica or something else that's already pretty damn dark, that wouldn't be an issue.

Yeah, that's kind of why I stopped reading Project Horizons. Everything just got worse and worse with no sign of letting up. The original story is way better because it doesn't get dark for the sake of being dark, it's just "This stuff happens in the wasteland." There's no Cosmic Horror Story, no gratuitous rape, no horrible injuries, no nihilistic characters...
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.One oddly interesting contrast I know of is how in the fanfics the war and nukes messed up a perfectly good world, whereas in the Fallout series the world was such a terrible place that turning it into a death-filled wasteland was actually an improovement over how it use to be.

As a fan, I get why so many quit. It's over the top and indulgent sometimes. I can just reassure that it does have a pretty optimistic Bittersweet Ending.
I found something similar with selector infected WIXOSS. It gets pretty depressing after a while, but everything bad that does happen is a logical sequence of events implied from episode one, and there looks to be a way to fix it.
"No will to break."Hasbro seems to have learned their lesson and a good chunk of fandom were taken off guard.
They managed to keep the Chrysalis reveal under wraps too. All of the promotions for A Canterlot Wedding focused entirely on the wedding and princess Candace.
The trailer for the episode sort of hinted at it by showing the duplicated Mane 6 and Shining's mind control eyes but people still had no idea what was going to happen, just that something would (one theory was that the duplicated mane 6 were a spell run amok after they decide to clone themselves to get more work done). They didn't show any changelings at all.

That was one thing that struck me too. I haven't played any Fallout games, but as far as I can tell, Fallout Equestria is darker than MLP and lighter than Fallout itself. For example, in Fallout, the shelters were experiments designed to kill many of the occupants because the government was just dicks like that. Whereas in FOE, the stables were a legitimate attempt to save ponies and everything that went wrong in them was just a matter of bad luck.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayOut of curiosity, when the cutie mark bombshell dropped, just how many straight pages of OH MY GOD did we get?
I'm gonna go to sleep soon. G'night everypony.
boop I'm more active on herePost of the Day #1265
But seriously, Stairway is a good song, but it's crazy overplayed. They have other, better songs.
@Irish: Something around half a dozen or so at least. I really don't remember.
Reaction Image RepositoryOn the one hand, I feel kinda iffy about how similar their cutie marks are. On the other hand, it's also kind of interesting.
Also, I just finished the first season of Steven Universe and I have a new favorite gem.

You could just go back and look yourself, you know. Prepare to be disappointed though. A lot less people watch the show live than back during A Canterlot Wedding.

Based on your avatar, I'm guessing it's Garnet.
Kyler's avatar is Lapis Lazuli.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayFirst half dozen eps of Gravity Falls down and, yeah really liking he show. Not quite as much as Pony but still really damn good.
Regarding the CMC's CM's being so similar, I actually really like it. It symbolizes just how close their bond is with each other, while still being unique individuals, and is possibly the single greatest FUCK YOU! To Starlight Glimmer's entire philosophy.

Always nice to see fans with that one. Probably the biggest Wam Episode of the series. Unlike with alicornized Twilight, Hasbro seems to have learned their lesson and a good chunk of fandom were taken off guard.
