It will be a trying time for both of them, but Celestia knows that Cadence doesn't have any control over what happens from here on out. If she gets pissed off at that, who can blame her? Really, what she'll really need is support.

No, come back with Relm to do that. This does give you one REALLY freaking awesome relic. Double the MP cost to massivly empower a spell. Which stacks with the 1MP cost relic to give you insane spells for 2MP each.

Erm, don't you mean use two spells in one turn? Granted, using two firaga spells may as well be one firaga at 2x the damage.

@Dark: I'm guessing that we'll see Cadance again, more visibly pregnant, but I think the actual birth won't happen until next season. It might happen in the finale, but I'd imagine that if they were going to do that they'd have put this episode earlier in the season.

Final Fantasy 6: Ok, time to try to squeeze in some more FF 6 before I have to leave for dinner.

Sabin just used an Elxir. Guess I might as well use them sometime. I had 9 and he was almost dead and out of MP.

Just gave a reflect ring to Sabin too. That should help a little.

I'm now dipping into my hi-ethers for Celes. 4 left.

Luckily I just ran into magic urns again. I waited until they finished healing me and ran away.

Obtained Force Armor.

Celes is getting it for now. It's weaker than Genji Armor in general, but probably more useful for a magic heavy environment like this.

Finally made it to the top!

And naturally one step after I say that, I run into a pair of level 90 magics that wipe me out. At least I saved only two floors from the top.

Obtained Soul of Thamasa! I'm surprised there was no boss battle. Also, surprised that Strago wasn't freed.

Changes the magic command to Dualcast. Interesting. I'll have to try that out sometime. Does it bypass the damage cap too?

Ah, the cultists have arrived. Took em long enough.

But no Stragos in the crowed.

Hey, a ghost!

The ghost is apparently a boss named Magic Master.

Thundergaga hit him, but Firegaga did nothing.

Oh well, I'm going all out wiht the gaga spells, since the urns healed me a bunch and I think I'll get healing after this. For the second half of the tower I was using teh weakest spells to conserve MP.

Ug, none of my spells are doing any damage!

At least he doesn't actually attack. He just does Barrier Change every turn. Seems like a puzzle boss.

HP 46379/50000. MP 49822/50000 Weak against poison

Cast libra again and he's down to 49716mp. Maybe I can just wait for him to run out of MP?

And he's now weak against wind.

If he's going to constantly change the damage type that can hit him, I'm not even sure what to do, other than spamming random spells and hopeing he dies eventually.

Tried Confuse and Imp, but both missed.

He's slowly getting damaged, primarily by his own spells.

Oops, I think my thundergaga just healed him.

Well if there's nothing I can do to hurt him, I guess I'll just hold down fast forward and hope he kills himself eventually.

After 5 solid minutes of just sitting there holding down fast forward, he did something different. I didn't quite catch it, but there was a big blue thing and then everybody died in one shot. I guess it was one of those cheap non reflectable abilities?

This is the most ridiculous and absurdly stupid boss fight I have ever seen.

I rewound, and the thing he cast was Ultima.

Rewinding further and casting Libra, here were his stats before the Ultima:

HP 7507/50000, MP 43679/50000

I decided to start casting all my spells to try to finish him off. Blizzardgaga healed him for 2k or so, then thundergaga 10ked him. So close...

And of course he got healed again. At least he seems to have changed his mind about the Ultima. Maybe he only does that if you sit there for too long?

Managed another hit. Celes is completely out of MP.

And he's back up to 19458 hp.43189 mp. This is simply ridiculous.

Well, I have to go now. I'll savestate and try continuing it once I get back.

But seriously, this is one of the most BS "fights" ever.

I think I remember beating that guy by casting Reraise on my party, using reflect rings, and waiting until he reflects himself to death. IIRC, he only casts Ultima when he dies.

I'd be kind of surprised, actually. I don't think shows aimed at the age bracket MLP is tend to go for portraying actual pregnancy. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised they even announced it beforehand to begin with instead of just having the royal couple show up one day with the new foal.

Yeah, it's a puzzle fight similar to one you would have fought earlier in the Magitek Facility. It's more lenient, though, so you probably just ran him over with Sabin. For this one, it calls for a finer strategy (or, I guess, waiting forever reflecting attacks like you did) where you Libra to find his weakness, then immediately hit it. As for Ultima, it's his counterattack for when he dies. It ignores defense and reflect. You need either close to the HP cap or Reraise to survive it. Alternatively, you run him out of MP.

I'm guessing that this was the intended solution, but it doesn't really work, because he uses barrier change constantly. By the time you try to attack him again it will have most likely changed.

When I looked it up, the most common suggested solution was to just don reflect rings and sit there for a while like I did. The only other solution is to not attack at all, which speeds things up somewhat.
