Nice to see the guy from episode 2 who hears the voice of Jesus telling him to kill everyone make a return.
That smithing scene was fantastic. As was everything else in this episode, but the smithing scene especially.
Poor Liz, tho. :(
but HOW?I think Liz got more insults on Kirito than any other character so far.
So wait, is Asuna threatening Liz part of the original series? Does anyone know why Liz went off crying at the end in the original?
Asuna was genuinely relieved that Liz was alright in the real story. The Abridged series cuts out the part where she sees Asuna and Kirito not only know each other but are obviously in a "not" relationship by this point. Liz had already admitted to Kirito that she was beginning to like him, but he didn't hear, and Asuna showed up before she could do it properly. Seeing the guy she liked and her best friend make eyes at each other shortly after her own confession is what sent her out crying.
That smithing scene was great, whole episode was awesome.
Liz seems to be one of the only characters who LIKES Kirito more when he shows her how much of an asshole he truly is. Its like all his mean acts find a way to be NICE to her.
They both made a bad first impression on each other. She probably didn't have any high expectations of him to begin with and was presently surprised at his non-douchebag moments.
The Kirito is Always Right Foundation is a thing, and it has the best advertisement ever.
but HOW?Better then the show it's based on.
GIVE ME YOUR FACEThe video, or the series?
but HOW?Yes
GIVE ME YOUR FACE:/
but HOW?Haha I didn't think it was possible but this episode actually made me hate AS Suna even more.
Don't worry Liz I'll give you a better love interest once I learn to make my own manga.
I love this series so much. I actually liked the Aincrad Arc in canon but this is just so much better in every way. Kirito actually getting character development is both surprising and amazing. This is easily Better Than Canon.
Also, Episode 8:
That moment when an abridged series has better characterization and growth than the original.
I wonder how they will make the Yuuki Konno arc Better Than Canon....

Watch SymphogearAww geez, the feels were real there.
So, Kirito is basically Doctor Cox now.
That was brilliant. The perfect combination of heartwarming, character development and humor. I honestly think that was the best single episode of any abridged series I've seen.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobNot gonna lie, Kirito's speech when he fights Gleam Eyes is legit one of the most inspirational things I've ever heard. I think coming from such an unexpected source helps it be more profound.

Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierHoly shit, Kirito started out more psychotic than his canon self but now more human than the canon self could ever hope for? What is this madness?
Also, Klein's delivery of "Don't give up on humanity just yet" was so perfect that I might have teared up just a little bit.

This is goood. So much better than the original.
