Not sure if I should...the Spoiler Warning in the title might be safer....

I thought the story here was stronger than the first film...more personal stakes...the big crisis at the end was a little underplayed (there's grander destruction porn in Doctor Strange) but it's still a considerably dark film, and it doesn't really let up after the twist revelation and the climax. They got me to care more about Rocket this time around too.

Mantis and Drax's bonding steal the film

Missed a golden oppertunity to play "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" at the funeral given the callbacks to Cheers, but that's probably a rights nightmare

I was going to post at the MCU thread, but I didn't want to disrupt the conversation. So, necro, ho!

You know what I want to see in GOTG 3? Star Lord tries to do the dance off trick to the main villains, but get ignored by them because they saw through him...

...or, the villains really do accept Star Lord's challenge and reveal themselves to be amazing dancers, handing him his ass.

Bonus points if Thor tries to join in, performing traditional Asgardian war dance.

I was very amused by the gag reel of Star Lord vs Ronan danceoff, you see.
