Quickly reloading his SMG, Alex cautiously moved out from his cover. With a silent motion to his comrades, he indicated that he was moving for the hall opposite of the one Warren was taking.

As Rudy took cover behind the reception desk, he spotted the receptionist hiding behind it, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible.
Left Hall
Alex's exploration would yield two doors: one to the restaurant and one to the pub. Both were shut.
Right Hall
Warren spotted one of the gunmen running for the fire exit.

"Ma'am, I'd advise you to leave the building. If you stay here, there's a possibility of you being injured."
He kept his eyes to the elevator doors, at the same time sneaking glances at any stairwells he could spot from his position.
Taking aim at the mans leg, Warren fired at his calf.

0911 Hours
The man fell against the door's release as the bullet hit him squarely in the calf. He twisted and fired a burst in Warren's general direction before falling through the door.
"Your mission is not to nuke the squid god." —Faramir
"Get that fucker!" Warren said as he took cover against a pillar to hide from the incoming rounds. Waiting for a pause in the fire, he came out of cover and resumed pursuit.

Warren reached the fire exit and opened it. His target was gone.
Hotel Lobby
The receptionist nodded and ran for the door, throwing it wide open and making a run for it, only to be bowled over by an injured gunman coming in the door who seemed panicked and confused. However, he had enough presence of mind to grab the receptionist and hold his gun to her head when he saw Rudy.

"No sign of him down here." Warren replied into his earpiece. "You guys see anything?"

Alex stopped by whichever door was closer thinking the guy probably didn't have enough time to reach the farther one and close it behind him before Alex came into line of sight. He reached out to test if the door was locked. If it wasn't he'd swing it open quickly, but stay in cover behind the wall; if the gunner thought Alex was dashing into the room, he might open fire on the doorway and waste his ammo, Alex figured.

The door swung open with a creak and Alex found himself peeking into the pub. Along the far wall was the bar, with several patrons sitting at the bar. One man seemed quite upset while another was comforting him, and a young girl was peeking up at them, trying and failing to grab a shot glass. Alex could tell that there were tables in an alcove on the left side of the door, but the alcove was around a corner and he couldn't see into it.

Chessie had decided to plant herself at the hall junction, slightly back to support either hallway. She had just turned again to make sure Lita wasn't being kidnapped when one of their rude friends burst back onto the scene. Sidling up to a pillar, the former cop sized up her shooting angles.
For all the good it did Czeslawa shouted, "Drop gun!"

Surprisingly, Ruadhrí was actually trained for this situation. The ARW were called in when the Gardaí's Armed Response Unit thought the situation past their abilities.
Pointing his weapon at the HT, je began to speak loudly and clearly.
"Okay, drop your weapon and let the woman go. If you surrender, you will be treated well. Prison nowadays isn't that bad, you get an Xbox or Playstation. No-one else has to be hurt. The worst case scenario is a few years in prison, probably less for good behaviour. Kill the girl? That's murder. You go away for up to 25 years. Now, if you know what's good for you, drop the gun, and release the hostage."

The gunman had his back to the door and the hand holding his gun shook in fear. "Stay back!" He shouted. "What did you do?! You're some kinda wizards, aren't you?! I'll let her go if you let me out of here!"

"We're not Whi- Wizards. We're soldiers. And if you want to get out, the door's to your back. But the Bobbies will be getting calls already, and I wouldn't be surprised if the second you stepped out, you'd find the hotel surrounded by policemen. So put the gun down, and let the girl go."
He kept his SIG trained on the man.

Using Rudhari as a distraction, Chessie edges closer to the pair through the lobby furnishings.

The man didn't notice Chessie advancing. "Don't lie to me!" He shouted. "You-you've got this place bewitched! You're gonna use us in some sick curses or something, aren't you!"

"Wizards have wands, not guns. Best bet is that if the guy has a gun, he's not a Wizard."
Ruadhrí gestured towards his gun.
"If you want, I'll put my gun down. We don't need any more lives lost."
He saw Chessie out of the corner of his eye, but avoided directly looking at her.

Not waiting to give the hostage taker a chance to start backing closer towards the door, Chessie got as close as she could in cover before launching herself from behind a chair into the pair. In what could only be described as a barely restrained beating the tall woman took control of the gun with one hand as her other limbs disengaged his grip and propelled him into the floor. There was the unmistakable mark of a professional in her movements and a particularly grim smirk flashed past the receptionists head into the hostage taker's descending head.

The gunman went down with a shout of pain and anger, hitting the floor with a loud thud. His head cleared a moment later and he propelled his uninjured leg into Chessie's chest.

Alex looked into the pub, not seeing any weapons on the bar patrons but noticing there was an area to the left he couldn't see yet. Good hiding place for someone waiting for someone else to enter the room, right...
Alex also noted that none of his teammates had come with him, but his opponent wouldn't know that. "Alright, this room looks clear!" Alex yelled just loud enough for it to carry into the pub. To anyone who looked back towards the door from the bar, Alex gave a quick 'shh' motion with his finger. Then he quietly stepped as close as he could get to the corner around to the left, and waited to see if any hiding gunmen would come around the corner.
If the gunman came around the corner up close and gun-first, Alex would move to disarm him with Krav Maga. If the gunman came into view too far away for Alex to grab him, he'd open fire, aiming for the legs.

The patrons turns when they heard him and their eyes went wide. They froze as he told them to shush.
The alcove was occupied by two more patrons, one seated close to the door. She seemed only interested in the book sh was reading—there wasn't even a drink on her table. At the far end of the alcove, at another table, there was yet another young woman, who seemed to be examining some kind of large clockwork device. The gunman was nowhere to be seen.

"Fuck!" Chessie grunted. Evidently the bastard had decided his surprise oral treatment wasn't enough; she did flinch slightly at his weakened one legged kick. Used to far worse however she pulled her hand back and hit him with a hook to the jaw. Unsophisticated but attention getting, "Stop resisting!"

The punch stunned the man again, and he ceased to fight.

Hallway
Not one to chase a ghost in the dark, Warren doubled back tot he center of the lobby where the rest of his team had been.
"I'll pull security here." Ruadhrí said.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!He then climbed over the reception desk,planning to use it as cover in case the elevator guys returned.
