Okay, this is why I asked politely (and then went a lil' crazy) to go when I did. Because this weekend I have a major and a minor writing project ('minor' in this case being defined as eight hours worth of content, with overarching story arc) as well as my first time swinging swords in over three years.

What I'm saying is, it'll be a while before I can get to the Fun stuff.

If you wish to wait patiently, that's cool. But my care-o-meter for this game is feeling pretty low right now, truth be told.

I guess one option is to skip you for now and put you on the list again whenever you're free.

Aww. I really wanted to know what the MAGMA CON CARNE would have legitimately consisted of. And laugh at the fact that common farmer had a gold statue erected of him.

The list doesn't empty unless someone bows out. We will likely cycle through it quickly. I need to do pm checks to see who is still interested in playing in the future.

A couple of minor points:

1) What the babbling socialist hell is going on with the bedrooms? I kid you not, it hurts my eyes to look upon them. I've seen more uniqueness in parts dumped off a machine press.

2) What the kinetically energized hell is up with the long drop to nowhere?

3) What is up with the giant pipes of doom to/from nowhere? Obviously they were meant to cry magma. Obviously all I'd have to do to create MAGMA CON CARNE is to fill them and put an unlabeled lever attached to several grates by the craftsdwarf shops for the next insane/angry dwarf.

3.5) Screw it; I'm gonna touch up whatever that is to the left of the shops until it looks Rule 34 ish. Then I'm gonna fill it with magma, for Metaphor.

Pathfinder) That...really is a nice throne room, all told.

World Of Warcraft on Paper!) We really only have that one tiny farm? Have we experienced food shortages?

BONUS ROUND) That's a crapton of adamantium. Imma gonna make me an adamantium codpiece!

A few minor answers:

1) The bedrooms were made for ease of digging and conservation of effort, not to give everyone a unique garden of happiness. It's better than no bedrooms at all, which is what I was working with.

2) The drop to nowhere is what I dug to drop vampires and the like into. It was amusing and I didn't think I had time to do anything more expansive.

3.5) Isn't the thing to the left of the shops our main stockpile? Or do you mean the former dining room/ dormitory/ spike pit?

Is it cruelty to put a spike pit in the middle of the sleeping area, or does it simply encourage people to wake up quickly?

Ok Condo has been rather quiet and didn't respond to the pm i shot him earlier. I am assuming he is actually a pass and is just screwing around with the save for the lulz.

[up][up] Durza, here's just a general guideline to go by: if you have to ask if it's cruelty, coming from you, it probably is.

Given that guideline, I never have to ask if anything I do is cruel anymore, and as such, nothing I do is bad. Thanks for the free pass on morality!

Oh no, I mean everything you do is either inherently cruel or self serving, which you play the role to with almost hamtastic aplomb.

Oh, stop. I'm blushing.

So is it Ringsea's turn now, then, or are we waiting for Condo? How many full years have we had in the fort now, by the way? Three?

Bladebound then? Also, I would like to volunteer to dispose of Jawmetal whenever it becomes necessary to begin a new game. I have a plan that I'm hoping to put in motion whenever it rolls around to my turn again.

Well if I don't hear from blade by tomorrow we will begin plan wtf. Switching over to the mod with the FPS improvements allowing us to try crazier experiments without killing the fort.

Nope. We are converting the save over to the high effeciency mod whose name escapes me at this exact moment. We will change how the save is passed along but overall it will continue.

The whole purpose of the mod isn't to use its new features but to use the effeciency options in a vanilla mode. I will explain it later. We were planning on doing this a several pages back.

I am too busy to play for a couple of weeks, but would like to remain on the list if we get to the end of the list again (!!Fun!! might prevent that, but given the rule prohibiting HFS we might only get a mild dose of !!Fun!!).

Well folks that puts us back at the top of the list.

Ok we discussed early using the one mod that has effeciency improvements built into but can also allow us to play vanilla df.

Part of the reason to switch to this would be to allow us to pursue projects that might otherwise induce severe fps loss in the fort, forcing us to abandon it. But with the help of said mod we can try some crazy stuff at last and maintain the FPS.

We will need to lay down some new ground rules such as not enabling graphics packs, no enabling non-vanilla content, and I am thinking creating a general pack rather then just pushing along the save to make sure the settings remain the same across the player base.

Any new instructions will be included with all the information and ultimately it will be put into the OP.

Thoughts? On Monday unless we have any serious reasonable objections we will probably go through with this on Monday. I will doubel check the entire list of possible players and remove anyone wanting to bow out of any future sessions. Something else to consider is moving over to two year turns once th elist is trimmed.

Once we have list and future turn lengths sorted we will start the turn list over and it shold hopefully move more quickly. For those who we skipped we will try and fit you when we can.

I have no objections to improved efficiency, providing it doesn't turn all metals into the same material or something.

I would like to have a turn, I just can't do it until after next week. And even then, it depends on whether this is a part-time writing gig I got, or if I have more work than sense dumped on me.
