Kung Fu Panda franchise

I went to check pictures and I most certainly don't notice any significant changes in models for Tigress between 2 and 3 (barring the change in technologies using to render both).

I feel any change between them is mostly conveyed by expressions and animations and thus a sign of the CHARACTER changing.

Pretty much any big-budget CGI animated film is going to upgrade the character models between movies at least a little, it would be unusual for the character models to stay exactly the same.

I do think at the very least that models (or at least the rendering) have been streamlined ever so slightly to make them look more fluid and give them a bit more of a cartoony look.

So is 4 going to take that tv show about the Knight into account?

I'd usually guess not but Jack Black was involved in the show so...

Poster got revealed and... Somehow, Tai Lung has returned.

This is a world where spirits can come back by just leaving the spirit world. I'm not all that surprised.

The new main villain having a power that allowes them to bring the antagonists of the past films back was one of the first things revealed about the story if I remember correctly.

Can you share it?

Saw it on the Kung Fu Panda subreddit somewhere. Depending on how Universal reacted, it might have been a case of "it popped up early and got deleted."

So the Furious Five won't even be in this one? That sucks, I enjoyed them MORE than Po ever since I first watched the original movie.

And of course Po's making the Dreamworks Face. Which at this point is really just a staple of the studio.

Huh. That poster almost makes it look like Tai Lung's joined the protagonists. Wonder if being in the spirit realm will have matured him some.

I presume the lizard is the main antagonist.

the villain can shapeshift

After exploring Po as a mentor in the tv shows, it makes sense that the next movie would be a big emotional story about it too. Shifu's and apparently Tai Lung's presence makes me wonder if a big emotional throughline is going to be Po learning from both Shifu's successes and failures as a mentor.
