From what I gather, it's that she's a spirit who he sealed long before the series started. Someone already mentioned this under a spoiler tag.
I see. Kind of expected, really. So Shido can seal Spirits and has regenerative powers. Maybe he's a Spirit too? Or has Spirit powers somehow.
I wonder if the Mission Control will ever be of any use at all with the dialogue. I mean, he gets technical updates and stuff, but as for what to say?
Then again, as usual, the protagonist doesn't say anything to help the situation anyway.
I think the episode just kind of ended.
Check out my fanfiction!
That's not really mentioned (explicitly) in that scene at all. It's more of a moment between Imouto!Kotori and Reine discussing why the heck Kotori believes Shido is the only one who stands a chance of sealing the spirits.
Episode 4: Rather dull.
Episode 5: Rather dull.
Check out my fanfiction! The opening of this series would be so much better if it was part of a eight minutes long opera-like song all sang in english.
Must be because the first few episodes set my expectations so low, but the latest episode was of consistent quality at least. What did I like about it?
Errrrr...
At least we got to see the spirit powers in action?
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."The OP sure does carry a nice tune.
Well, yeah, the episodes have been consistent in quality, I'll give it that. This also means that there is an alarming deficiency of Tobiichi.
I will fight you!
...
Oh wait, I don't even know who I want to win.
If only Tohka was more interesting...
Actually I'm not sure I care enough.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Tohka and Kotori are the only girls worth watching this for in my opinion. Yoshinon hasn't been around long enough to catch my interest and everyone else is either awful (Oragami) or not that attractive or great.
I never said it doesn't, it just would be better with a TWGOK like opening.
I'd say Tohka and Reine. Kotori didn't work for me once she was revealed as who she is. Doesn't mean I won't change my opinion later, but she's no one I'd watch the show for. Yoshinon isn't bad, but doesn't hold up much on her own.
Check out my fanfiction!I don't watch this for any girls. I'm here for the action and dating hijinks. Though the dating hijinks have proven to be average, so I'm mostly just hoping for more, better action.
Origami is holding my attention the most, but she's also terribly underdeveloped. Second place goes to Tohka mostly because of how much they've spent on her, and then the others are just kind of vaguely grouped together.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."These people are more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
Episode 6: You think it's going to be a hot springs episode.
But shenanigans. And stuff.
The cliff notes, which don't begin to cover it:
Everyone: It's hot springs episode time!
Kotori: "Go dig a hole."
Mission Control staff: "Quick! We need to mess everything up!"
Origami: "The wall blew up on its own."
Kyouhei: "I found a hot spring while digging!"
I was going to call Shido out for sparking Tohka's jealously and causing expensive damage. But then that was probably one of the cheaper mistakes this episode. I actually wondered if it was too absurd half-way through, but then it didn't matter.
All in all, actually made me laugh, so pretty good (if you find being this over-the-top funny of course).

"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."I found it entertaining, and "wacky" is usually not my speed. Kind of a mixed bag in the larger scheme of things, though; I'm looking forward to the next Spirit, and this episode meant there's another week until that.
It's understandable that they don't want to jump right back into it after Yoshino's arc, though. Throwing in a breather episode makes sense.
Episode 5: I think I'm warming up to this show.
- Jealous Tohka, timid Yoshino, just another day in the life of a harem lead.
- Origami = best girl.
- The action scenes with Zadkiel (puppet rabbit Angel) were good.
- Sandalphon can become a hoverboard. Neat.
- That whirlwind of buckshot turned out to not be a big deal. Shido's clothes weren't even completely shredded!
- Wacky hijinks next episode. Great, that's what I wanted.
Episode 7: let's add more characters but even more cliches.
I'm surprised this is still watchable. Well, it is more fun than Photokano.
Starting to seem almost like a gothic chuuni fantasy at the end perhaps.
[[spolier:Clock symbolism and not dying]]? I wonder which variation on that combination they'll use.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Episode 6. In which silliness ensues.
I like the captain's reactions. Most of them.
What idiot decided on the seating in the car? Only if you wanted to be as far away from the others as possible would you sit like that.
I think Origami fits much better as The Comically Serious than as the Emotionless Angster.
Episode 7. In which a new one appears.
Not sure what I think about that yet.
Check out my fanfiction!Kurumi is the most interesting Spirit by a landslide so far. Glad to see them addressing the idea of a Spirit who is actively malignant instead of a passive source of disaster — it's the obvious flaw in the Fraxinus team's methodology. I just hope they don't screw it up.
I really hope we get an explanation on Tobiichi soon. Okay, Stalker with a Crush, but why? I keep waiting for the protagonist to ask that.
Shido probably wants to put that off for as long as he can.
Yeah, the seating arrangement was weird.
Didn't really find episode 6 funny. Rather, it was almost funny. I quite like Origami and the master sergeant though.
I just knew Yoshinon was gonna freeze the hot springs.
It was interesting seeing the hot springs fanservice relegated to the ED.
Episode 7: Most interesting episode by far.
Episode 8.
It's the multiple date thing.
Still, at least he has a teleporter and mission control to help him pull it off, which is more than Shirou had when he tried it.
So on the one hand those extra details make it slightly new, but on the other hand I already feel I've seen this concept too many times.
Once again I think perhaps the ending is the most interesting part.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."
Episode 4.
Hoho. This is more what I signed up for. The Harem is enforced and the game is played with the world in the balance!
Though such misunderstandings are usually the low point of harem comedy, I'm hoping the fact that he has an entire team backing him up means he will act with some intelligence. Of course I still expect the team to be useless; being unhelpful is pretty much their role.
