Today I won against a taunt druid as warlock because they didn't destroy one of my minions, which allowed me to play the blood troll that deals two damage at face for every of my minions that dies, suiciding five minions and then playing soulfire for exact lethal.
Feels good.
Anyone here? Is there people interested in Heathstone? Because i might return to the game even if i didn't even touch Rasthakan rumble.
Anyway, welcomer the Year of the Dragon
So, Genn and Baku are getting Hall of Famed. That's a new one.
Uni catI haven't had the time to look over that announcement yet. If they're canning Odd and Even decks ahead of the usual rotation schedule, that's intriguing, and it addresses a major complaint people have had about the current meta.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Doomguard, Black Cat, Glittermoth, Gloom Stag, Murkspark Eel, Divine Favor and Naturalize also getting HOF.
I am not sure about Naturalize. sure, it was cheap removal, but it also allowed a bunch of really clever plays.

Year of the Dragon announced.
Spoilers of three next expansions.◊
My bet is on Draenei/Outland; Tol'vir/Uldum; Iron Horde/Alt-Draenor.

“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.Hmm, I don't think the third one would be Alt-Draenor. It's too warm and wooden, not enough fire and iron. No spikes either.
Also, can there really be spoilers for a card game?

They've moved away from straight up adapting WOW stuff. I expect the three expansions will be original stories to Hearthstone. Not re-threading WOW stuff.

They don't invent Warcraft lore either way. They may create characters, but they don't create new, important lore.
The Deathknights came with an entire alternate universe story about them where Uther eventually becomes the Lich King.

Doomguard I can see for sure. Naturalize and DF maybe. But what was wrong with those other cards, besides synergy with the now HOF'ed Genn and Baku? I guess Blizzard is canning the whole odd/even mechanic.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"That is exactly the stated reason.
Sure, but they didn't invent lore anyway. It hasn't become official Warcraft lore. Well I guess Hearthstone is an in-universe game in the first place, which means that the death knight cards were thought up by characters in the Warcraft universe so that kind of makes it lore.
Well, with Naturalize gone, the Hakkar and Mecha'thun OTK plays will disappear, and the control meta will have more room. I'm all for this. Warlock and Priest Mecha'thun decks will still be a thing, though.
I cannot cheer enough for the removal of Doomguard from Standard play. That card has always been overpowered, but Cubelock turned it into a thing of horrific beauty.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"That last one is screaming "Firelands" to me.
This song needs more love. All the deviations from the mainstream lore are still within the setting. That is how I expect them to handle it. All the examples I provided are more themes and settings than nods to particular stories.
“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.WHAT? MORE RAGNAROS SHILLING? I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT
Seriously, they always find a way to include him
Uni catI don't understand canning the non-Legendary odd/even cards. The legends are the core problem because of the guaranteed (and powerful) benefit they apply, the other cards just seem like standard deck-building pay off cards.
It would have been interesting to see what the decks might look like without the legends.
Black Cat is a legitimately good card even without the Odd mechanic. But then again, we shouldn't be surprised: Blizzard has been tossing the baby out with the bathwater for a while now.
And while I for once am neutral on cards being HOF'ed (though I don't think Divine Spirit deserves it), the Classic pool shrinks every time they do. Sure hope we can get some more of those "new classic" cards that are patently useless.
grahI think they don't like how the mechanic turned out, as those cards are either always played or not touched at all. So they just sacked it altogether.

“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.Black Cat had found some use outside of Odd decks in an Aggro Mage, on the grounds of being a fairly statted Spell Damage minion. Well, before Mana Wyrm died for sins of other cards, at least.
Murkspark Eel was an Even Shaman exclusive, and I don't think neither Glitter Moth nor Gloom Stag saw any play whatsoever.
grahIt's just kinda shitty to open any of the odd/even cards in packs with Genn and Baku in the Hall of Fame.

I have to admit, at first I thought it's Divine Spirit being HOF'ed, and was nothing short of baffled.
Then I realized it's Divine Favor and now I just feel stupid. That's what I get for not actually playing the game anymore.
grahSorry for a double post, but I'm wondering about something.
A while back we had a bunch of cards nerfed into the ground on the basis that they were too strong in their respective Odd/Even decks (Cold Blood, Hunter's Mark, Flametongue Totem, Equality). Now that Baku and Genn are being rotated out, what are the odds of these cards being returned to their original mana costs?
I don't hold much hope, but I think it's a valid topic for discussion.
