Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

Well, it's not APM priest since that only needs test subjects and piggies.

Making a new combo out of this seems pointless since cloning gallery is a much fast way to pull out a board of specific minions - with this you'd need to draw your combo pieces, get them all killed with the spirit on your board, and then draw them with Bwonsamdi.

I think it's just intended for value Priest. It's a fantastic Academic Espionage result though.

I mean, you could just use the Spirit without Bwonsamdi to shuffle back your combo pieces for Cloning Gallery.

• Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk - Legendary Mage Minion; 7 mana 4/4 Beast; Battlecry: If your Hero Power dealt 8 damage this game, summon Ragnaros the Firelord. (a tooltip tells you how much you still have to deal)
• Daring Fire-Eater - Common Mage Minion; 1 mana 1/1; Battlecry: Your next Hero Power deals 2 extra damage.

• Guardia de Almas (Guardian of Souls) - Epic Warlock Minion; 6 mana 6/6; Battlecry: Add 3 cards you've discarded this game to your hand.
• Atrocitroll Imprudente (Reckless Fluff - stay tuned for a true name) - Common Warlock Minion; 3 mana 2/6; Taunt; Battlecry: Discard your lowest-Cost card.
• Guinchado (Screech) - Rare Warlock Spell; 1 mana; Discard your lowest-cost card. Deal 2 damage to all minions.
• High Priestess Jeklik - Legendary Warlock Minion; 4 mana 3/4; Taunt; Lifesteal; Whenever you discard this card, add 2 copies of it to your hand.

As for the scheduled card:

Fluffy Rogue Spell (name pending) - Rare Rogue Spell; 3 mana; Draw 2 Pirates from your deck. Combo: Draw a Weapon.

Seems like Rogues are meant to play Pirates this expansion.

• Spirit of the Tiger - Rare Paladin Minion; 4 mana 0/3; Stealth for 1 turn. Whenever you cast a Spell, summon a Tiger with the same stats as the cost of the spell.
  • So if you cast Blessing of Kings, for example, you'll get a 4/4 Tiger.
• Grave Horror - Rare Priest Minion; 12 mana 7/8; Taunt; Costs (1) less for each spell you've cast this game.
• Beast King - Epic Neutral Minion; 3 mana 3/4; Whenever you draw a Beast, give it +2/+2.

Spirit of the Tiger and Dinosize will be kind of crazy in combo. And Priest gets another functionally useless control minion. I suppose people will try to make decks with it.

Isn't this the kind of minion you would want to play in Big Priest? It seems tailor-made for that deck.

Also, Fluffy Rogue Spell's name is Raiding Party. There had also been some clarification on Zentimo: adjacent target add additional Overload, i.e. if you Lightning Bolt two more minions, you'll have a total of Overload 3 next turn.

Most Big Priest minions have additional roles besides just being huge taunts. Maybe it can replace some stuff rotating out next year.

Huge taunts for free. But yes, I presume it will replace things like Obsidian Statue.

Meanwhile:

• Gral, the Shark - Legendary Rogue Minion; 5 mana 2/2 Beast; Battlecry: Eat a minion in your deck and gain its stats. Deathrattle: Add it to your hand.
  • I assume this works just like Recruit, i.e. the effect is random even if it doesn't say so. It also curves with Spirit of the Shark.

• Hakkar, the Soulflayer - Legendary Neutral Minion; 10 mana 9/6; Deathrattle: Shuffle a Corrupted Blood into each player's deck.
  • Corrupted Blood - 1 mana; Casts When Drawn. Take 3 damage. After you draw, shuffle two copies of this to your deck.

Well, that's a counter to Mecha'thun if I ever saw one. Hemet, Jungle Hunter counters this in return, but he's rotating out come next year...

Ouch. That sets a hard end to the fight. Could this counter many different kinds of combo decks? What would it do to Togwaggle Druid, for example? I'm sure Toast will get to the bottom of it right quickly.

Devouring Ghoul (sp?) could also take Corrupted Bloods out of the game, but it'll rotate out soon and it'd be a very specific counter-tech card.

One strat suggested by the devs themselves in the reveal article is to combo with Prince Liam to fill your deck with legendaries.

Zandalari Templar - Rare Paladin Minion; 4 mana 4/4; Battlecry: If you've restored 10 Health this game, gain +4/+4 and Taunt.

• War Master Voone - Warrior Legendary Minion; 4 mana 4/3; Battlecry: Copy all Dragons in your hand.
• Firetree Witchdoctor - Rare Neutral Minion; 2 mana 2/2; Battlecry: If you're holding a Dragon, Discover a Spell.

Add to your hand copies of all dragons currently in it?

That's the card text verbatim.

So if you have a Sleepy Dragon and Twilight Drake in hand, you'll get copies of these once you play War Master.

It is just me or is this a weird time to bring back dragon synergy? They're pushing it really hard for Warrior but I don't see how it connects with Troll lore

Wait, googling Voone and the Firetree answered that. Both are connected with Black Rock Spire and the Dark Horde, which was allied with the Black Dragonflight. The Firetree showed up in Zandalar, so there's the connection.

War Master Voone was a boss in Blackrock Spire. that's pretty much it.

Yeah, the Rastakhan lore doesn't have any dragons in it at all. At most I could see a Beast Warrior with the amount of Dinos that are with the Trolls.

I think it is more the tribes themselves, their heroes and the lore surrounding them.

I like the support for the under-decks. Discolock, Dragon-warrior, Quest Hunter, Questless Quest Paladin.

Ain't that the truth. Hearthstone's ability to track things over the course of the game is a much better mechanic than quests.

Quests were designed to offset limitations that are only present in a physical card game.
