Given the hint, my guess is it's something related to Void or Arcane and considering how the card back for last month was based on the blue dragonflight, I'm leaning towards Arcane.

Kael'thas and co in Netherstorm/The Eye, or, Malygos and co in Borean Tundra/The Eye of Eternity. Gasp! Do I spy a hidden eye theme?

I don’t think Blizz will actually go with a theme like that, it actually makes sense for a wow themed game, it will be something completely out of left field and not worth anything.

But if we get Kael'thas he better be a mage hero and his give up quote better be ‘merely a setback’.

It's a matter of how they frame it. Raiders of Lost Ark Anh'Qiraj could pull it off, as an example.

Totaly agree on Mage Kael'thas hero. Knights of the Frozen Throne did it best, imo.

New expansion - the Boomsday Project.

here are some cards. Magnetic is a new keyword - minions that can be played as buff spells if you control a Mech. Legendary spells are also a thing now.

Ah, the celebration of explosions. This should be its own holiday: Explosion Day! Happy Explosion Day, gorgeous!

I'm expecting Dr. Boom to appear in some form.

Calling it, he will be one of the adventure's final bosses.

Netherstorm was an obvious theme in hindsight.

I see, there'll be some cards that have battlecries that only work at 10 mana. Are we going to see the much-hyped expansion in which control decks will be ascendant? *cough*

I ran into a new-ish variant of Velen OTK Priest the other day that draws its whole deck in about 10 turns and then does 48 burst damage. That's a control meta, folks.

Also, this was taken from the video description:

"PLUS, you can also pre-purchase the new MEGA BUNDLE, which features an 80 card pack bundle, a random Golden Legendary card from The Boomsday Project, the Mecha-Jaraxxus card back, and a new Warlock Hero: MECHA-JARAXXUS! "

Well, it seems Warlock is getting all the meme hero skins

Does replacing MECHA-JARAXXUS with Lord Jaraxxus have some special interaction? Because it really should.

Magnetic is a little odd, since on the face of it a 2/2 minion with a deathrattle is more valuable than giving a larger minion +2/+2 and the deathrattle. So the Magnetic effect is both more situational (requires a mech on the board) and less useful?

That said, I'd imagine there will be Magnetic synergies we haven't seen yet.

That and what hunter runs mechs anyway? It has the same deathrattle as Obsidian Statue so some Deathrattle Hunter will find value with it

Magnetic effectively gives the additional minion Charge if played onto an existing board, which is very powerful.

I don’t think it’s actually going to be that common to actually have mechs survive to get buffed since they have a big bullseye painted on them, which is the problem with buff decks in general actually.

If anything I see decks that run tons of removal coming further into the picture and oppressing the mechs out if the mechs are not just bonkers shredders that spawn more mechs.

Decks with pure removal have no ability to survive in a control meta. Believe me, I've tried.

I mean, if they kill your mech you can just play it as a regular minion. And while playing these as separate minions will generally give more value, sometimes you just need that extra damage. And that's not getting into what Magnetic minions that have stuff like Lifesteal or Windfury. A Magnetic Mech with Stealth could be used as a single target Mech-exlusive permanent Conceal.

They can pull another Flame elemental and make cheap mech generating cards.

Also, Astral Communion support finally!

You are assuming that the control meta is here to stay, the (few) cards we have seen look to be pushing a midrange board presence meta.

Classes like Warlock though may prevent that from even being an idea though.

I'm sorry, but minions with battlecries conditional on 10 mana scream control to me, not midrange, unless I'm getting my definitions confused.

I mean, it probably depends on how they're done. If most of the value is in the 10-mana conditional, then yeah, it's more of a control card. If more of the value is in the base creature, then the 10-mana conditional just becomes a way of making it a decent topdeck in the late game.

That said, the Omega Defender definitely appears to be in the first category. On-curve it's just a Stegadon without Beast synergy, but past turn 10 it suddenly becomes a must-remove threat.

I don't like the Omega concept. At all. Druid doesn't need even more tools to play with (as the one class that can reliably ramp) and cards that reward you for pretty much nothing shouldn't exist in the first place (also, Stegadon power creep). Omega Defender in particular will break Arena over its knee, and if all Omega cards are going to be this busted, we might as well not bother going there. (curious it's not a Mech though)

Magnetic seems like an odd keyword, especially since it's restricted to Mechs. They'll have to print a lot of those again. Spider Bomb seems like a neat little thing for a Deathrattle Hunter though.

How do lizards fly?
