I think Soma getting phased by that after an entire manga series of being shown to be borderline asexual is kind of hilarious, but what can you do? That's how it be- it wasn't meant to portray asexuality, it's just the fantasy of having girls drop for you and you "aren't affected by it one bit" because you're so cool.

Also, if Souma didn't ended the call with his father early all the way back at the start of the manga, he'd might have put two and two together this chapter.
But I buy that this guy is Joichiro's biological son now. The way the last chapter went made me unsure if it was literal or not.
