I noticed lack of one general thread regarding Warhammer Fantasy, so I decided to create a one. :)
Not only Warhammer Fantasy Battle discussions welcomed, but also all things related to Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (regardless of edition).
If anyone has questions regarding Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay's second edition, feel free to ask since I own most of its sourcebooks.
Warhammer 40,000 has its own thread here

So, as part of my New Years Resolution to read more, I started going through the Vampire Wars anthology. Pretty alright so far; definitely playing up the horror aspect for all it's worth. Will probably go through each anthology afterwards now that I think about it, plus finishing the Sigmar anthology (only finished the first story and got partway into the second, even if I have to deal with Norsca and their bullshit Viking Cultural Posturing). I'm kinda most excited for the ones about The Sundering and Nagash.
At least, I think I have those...
Did you ever finish Gaunt's Ghosts?
The last one I read was where they were on Gereon to kill Sturm.
That is where the series Grows the Beard. Stopping there, you really deprived yourself.
Yeah, the vampires wars go full gothic horror and the vampires appair as brutal monstrosities, is intersting the series does make konrad intersting and somewhat tragic while his fluff come as "FUCK LOGIC, IM A VAMPIRE!" like he was some kind of men who was born wrong.

Double post for the Online Preview that I missed today.
AoS: Sevireth, Lord of the Seventh Wind◊ and the next Broken Realms book◊
As well as a new Daughters of Khaine Battletome◊ (and I have only recently read the last one) along with Endless Spells◊
Warhammer Underoworlds: Soulblight Vampire warband
Warhammer Quest: New version called Cursed City with a Witch Hunter◊ and a Gravekeeper◊
I'm really loving the stylized Castlevania-like look they're using for the vampires and the Cursed City. The latter seems like it might be a bit of a revamp of Mordheim in concept, except with more gross body-horror in the vein of Japanese video-games.

This seemed like a relevant place to mention that the announcement trailer for Total War: Warhammer III launched — and the launch factions are, uh, not what I expected!
For reference, and the CA faq and the Warhammer Community blog post confirm this, they're going to be monogod Nurgle, Slaanesh, Tzeentch and Khorne, plus Kislev and Cathay.
Considering all the buzz and fan content dealing with Cathay on the subreddit (someone even made a fan roster for them but I guess with Old World coming back, CA and GW will be working together to make an actual roster for them) this is very cathartic for a lot of people.
I remember myself and a friend made lists for both Cathay and Nippon back when I was in school (I have also thought about converting a Cathay Blood Bowl team but I am too lazy and lacking in skill). If I actually ever played modern computer games I would definitely play as them (unless Araby was also available, they were always my favourite of the non-Old World human kingdoms)
So, I learned a few days ago that there's actually a Warhammer Age of Sigmar roleplaying system based on Wrath and Glory from 40K.
New previews for the Cursed City. I really dig the sculpt on these skeletal guards, along with everything else seen so far. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/02/04/your-first-look-at-warhammer-quest-cursed-citys-skeletal-ulfenwatch/
Yeah, those skeletons are awesome, especially the Captain◊, but then I have always liked skeletal undead (it was the skeletons in Jason and the Argonauts that first got me interested in the undead in general).
I'm thinking about buying them and using them as part of a skeletal army. As mentioned before, I also like the new vampires resembling aesthetics in Castlevania, which would be good for a project I have to convert the Ravenloft board-game's miniatures to look closer to that game series.
Warhammer Community has an article on the evolution of the Beastmen, mainly to showcase the new Slaangors. I really like most of the models for the Beastmen, both the early 2000's revamped look and the ones for Mordheim. But I'm no fan of what they did with the latest models for the minotaurs.
I don't mind the minitours/bullgors, their not great but passable for mutated Chaos monsters. I have said it before but I do still love the new Slaangors◊. They are beautifully horrific, just as Slaanesh should be.
I prefer the older look of the 6th edition minotaurs, even though they were more cartoony back then. I much prefer the new Blood Bowl minotaur, because it looks more like an Oldhammer-style monster with an updated sculpt, like so many other models in that range.
Yeah, the Blood Bowl Minitour is great (a lot better then the BB Rat Ogre), especially the alternative Mutated Minitour
That one looks amazing with its Carnifex-like claws. Many of the minis in Blood Bowl these days are designed to resemble old-school Warhammer models, with a more detailed sculpt to fit in with current standards. With very minimal converting, most of these can easily be added to any Old Hammer force, or used for other tabletop games.
Well it is set in an alternate universe Old World, so it would draw more on original Warhammer style than AoS.
As for using Blood Bowl Mins in WFB, I seem to remember that there were some Citadel Journal rules for converting BB characters into original Warhammer Quest adventures, as well as rules in another Citadel Journal for converting original Warhammer Quest adventures into characters for WFB, so with a bit of work you could convert the rules from BB to WFB.
Double post but I am changing topic.
Should TabletopGame.Warhammer be moved to TabletopGame.Warhammer Fantasy Battle? I believe the site guidelines are to use the latest full official name for Work names wherever possible and I believe that was the last before it was discontinued. Warhammer: Old World may complicate things when it is released but that hasn't got a release date yet so is a subject for the future.
Using the full name WHFB might be better than just Warhammer, to make it more clear that it is separate from Ao S and the other related games. Warhammer: The Old World ought to be seen as a separate game, even though it is a revamped version of the older setting and lore.

I think using the full Warhammer Fantasy Battle title may be a good idea, especially to cut down confusion with the general Warhammer franchise page — and also with the various spinoff games like The Old World, the RPG, etcetera.
I think the main issue with The Old World is going to be figuring out what to do with the character pages, but we can cross that bridge when we come to it.
These make me want to make a proper Lizardman warband featuring these characters, with the Oldblood as a commander of some tough Saurus.
