So... Made the trope page. Did what i could by myself. Not much so far. I could use some help filling it out.

I'm gonna need more rope.Total Biscuit made a video on the game's release a couple weeks back, focusing on the changes made since his video on the beta.
Back in last year's GDC, I was given a couple of flyers for some Paradox games by a couple of employees. They were in one of the nearby street corners giving them away for free to passerbys. They gave me free copies of Magicka and Majesty 2, as well as a "coming soon" advertisement for The Showdown Effect.
I'm really glad it's finally out. I had a lot of fun with it when it was in beta. The devs have told me that a lot more content is on the way, so the current stuff doesn't get too stale.
Any help I could get on adding to the page would be great. A writer, I am not.
I'm gonna need more rope.I'm having trouble getting into it. Maybe I'm just uncoordinated, but I'm having a really difficult time even killing training dummies with the melee weapons.
Incidentally, I kind of want to put some kind of Spiritual Sequel label or the like from this to The Outfoxies, a Neo-Geo game that had substantially similar mechanics, but my understanding is that Spiritual Sequel is for intentional sequels from the same developers. Do we have a trope for "if you liked this older game, this is basically the updated release"?

:) Well, they both redirect to the same place. But it's not the same creator and, to my understanding, the makers of The Showdown Effect haven't acknowledged any influence, although in my mind, it's pretty clear-cut.
From the developers of Magicka comes the massively Trope Overdosed The Showdown Effect, an side scrolling platformer action game.
Drinking Game: Take a drink every time an action movie trope is referenced.
