It works kinda like the "Chaos in Zion" quest from New Vegas' "Honest Hearts" DLC.
EDIT: Finally got the Nuka Nuke Launcher for my Gunner character. I really love the damage on this thing.

The thing I've always needed, but never knew it in Fallout 4, the Dragonborn has come to the Commonwealth!

Note to self: Pick less edgy username next time. Also, it seems from reading John-Caleb Bradburton's terminal that he stole the soda recipes from his rivals, added some of his own formula to them, then sol them as new brands of Nuka Cola.
That looks sweet. I'll probably install that one once I get back to the Commonwealth.
On the Nuka World thing, I'm confused. If you go Raider you lose all your Commonwealth settlements? Is that true?
Not immediately, but in order to support your raider settlements you are required to enslave nearby settlements to provide for them, because raiders loose happiness from gathering most resources.
Seems a complete waste of time then.
I mean, Sanctuary has so many turrets of all sorts that it would chew me up and spit me out if I ever tried to retake it. And I'm not scrapping them because it would take too long to rebuild them all if I did retake the place. And I'm sure I had a pet Deathclaw somewhere around there before...
Only one death claw ? I once had a power outage due to a bug. What followed was more or less a Jurassic Park reenactment.

I said PET Deathclaw, not nasty claw your arms off Deathclaw. There's a slight difference.
You don't need to fight your own settlements to enslave/vacate them, provided you have a silver tongue (or don't mind Save Scumming the dialogue). Also, the Tribute Chests you can eventually build seem pretty sweet.
How come certain NPCs are designated as "Traders" even though they are clearly slaves? XD
You can clearly see the bomb collars pulsing on their necks, they are dressed in rags and are clearly being forced to work.
Is it supposed to be a euphemism that the raiders imposed on them?
Also, I'm kind of dissapointed to hear that there isn't a more fleshed-out "Kill all the Raiders" questline.
My problem is that all the factions in the dlc are Raiders and they all employ slaves. Even with my more morally deficient characters, it's hard for me to roleplay and rationalize that sort of thing.
Oh well, I guess I'll play along for now and then betray them in the end.

I think when I start playing of Nuka-World, my more morally upstanding characters are gonna use the raiders for potential resources and then slaughter them. Sorry Gage :(

Note to self: Pick less edgy username next time.^^ Nuka World used to a major trading hub before the raider gangs came in.
#IceBearForPresidentSwitched back to my mod using character, and she's gonna become a badass raider queen.
Sorry Preston, another settlement needs to pay me goddamn tribute and shut the fuck up.
I've claimed 4 of the 5 parks now, all for the Operators. Galactic Zone is all I have left.
Galactic Zone was the most fun for me, I think.
Oh really when?I like Dry Rock Gulch the most, but the Safari Adventure had Not-Tarzan to make it fun as well. Really, I'm not looking forward to collecting all those Star Cores.
All 5 parks are now under Operator control.
I also chose the Operators. The other two factions are just like. No.
Oh really when?I went with the Operators for my Gunner character roleplay, I figured they'd be the best fit. I'll pick the other 2 with different Raider roleplay character.
I think I'll give 2 each to the Operators and Pack. They seem decent enough...for raiders. I'm mulling over whether to murderkill the Disciples though.
#IceBearForPresidentOh for fuck's-
You can't turn on the park's power until you get the quest "Power Play," there's a key to open the control room door that you only get by completing that quest, and no, no-clipping through the door and pressing the button doesn't work. And you can't get "Power Play" until you complete "Home Sweet Home," which involves knocking over three settlements in the Commonwealth and, so the wiki tells me, making Preston hate you which permanently makes him unavailable as a companion and unable to be interacted with. Which is a bit of a problem if you're trying to play as the General of the Minutemen.
I get that a lot of people were asking for a Raider game mechanic, I've no problem with people wanting to do that. After sucking out people's souls to grind Enchanting in Skyrim, I'm not one to judge. But I get a bit peeved when the developers introduce this big, exciting, interesting location to explore, but tie getting the most out of it to that new game mechanic. Like if the Far Harbor quest line ended at Far Harbor if you weren't wiling to join the Trappers' cannibal cult or something.
It's not like they didn't conceive that some players might not want to play ball with these guys, there is the "Open Season" quest. But come on, give me the Traders-faction equivalent for clearing out the park and turning the damn lights on.
Gage... I have some bad news. I'm kind of frustrated with the game developers right now, and need to work off some aggression, so... just head on back to Fizztop Grille. I need to go get something from the Commonwealth. But don't worry. I'll be back.
Current earworm: "Time of Death"Yeah that's real annoying. I wish Power Play had opened up alongside Home Sweet Home.
Oh really when?Huh, I think I did the final Nuka-World story quest because it gave me the perks from the Operators AND the Pack. Weird thing is, I haven't done anything for the Pack except 1 radiant quest.
Did the same for me. I assume it's because the Pack lived.
Oh really when?
Not sure if afterthought is the perfect word but yeah pretty much.
Oh really when?
