The Gunisher stood in the shadows of a tree, observing the guard as he waited for the others. He was planning on simply taking the man out non-lethally* and jumping over the gates, but he figured he might as well wait for the others to show up. More bodies meant more targets for the Penguin's goons to shoot at.
Batwoman had been scouting the fence, moving away from the entrance, hoping to find a convenient tree but hadn't been able to find one close enough. Instead, she tossed one of her grappling lines over the top of a post and climbed up, jumping over into the Zoo grounds.
She moved carefully and quietly as possible forward, keeping to the shadows where she could, all the while looking for any of Penguin's men.
"You are my future selves? Am I having a Mid-Life Crisis?" The War Doctor - Day of The DoctorBatwoman would find herself on a stretch of a paved walkway. The zoo cages, according to a nearby sign would be found if she walked towards her left. To her right was the aviary. Directly across from her was a dirty looking restroom/supply closet. Two men were emerging from the supply closet, carrying a large crate.
"Think we'll all escape this mess alive?" the taller one asked the shorter one.
"Hell yeah! The Penguin said he'd look after..." the shorter one started to reply, when he noticed Batwoman.
"Oh, shit! A Bat Freak!" the shorter man screamed and he dropped the crate, leaving his taller companion to stumble, bearing the load of the crate all by himself. The shorter one drew a pistol and fired twice at Batwoman.
"Zach, get Cobblepot" the shorter one yelled
John arrived right outside the zoo's west gate, as planned. Once he'd parked the 'security guard' out front became clear too him, as did his overly relaxed sort of posture. He parked himself on the other side of the street, and made his way towards the....
"You're no damned cop," he called out, bolting towards him. "You can't even pull rent-a-cop." He would quickly make the man, security or no, well aware of what he carried on his person, his fur coat pulled wide open. Like a flasher, but less naked and more grenades. He brought his favorite suitcase over too, but he'd keep that a secret. For now.
"Now I'm going to need you to open that gate nice and quiet like, I have some maintenance to do." he continued. "But first, your going to have to drop the radio."
To the law and for the good of man. All I need to live by.The security guard put his hands in the air as John showed he was armed. He then put the radio on the ground.
"What are you going to do to me?" he asked worriedly. "I haven't done anything!"
Batwoman went into a forward roll, dodging under the bullets, reaching for her batons as she did so. She came up, flicking the batons to extend them and brought one slamming down on the shorter man's forearm. The other one she threw like a spear at the other man's face; the only part she could really see over the crate he was staggering with.
Her goal was to take these two down as quickly as possible and get out of sight again before the shots brought anyone else.
"You are my future selves? Am I having a Mid-Life Crisis?" The War Doctor - Day of The Doctor"I'm not going to do a thing, friend." Jon replied, a warm smile stuck onto his face, "Not even take your lunch money. I just need to borrow your radio for a little while. I'm taking to the business of saving lives at the moment, so if you'll be hasty with that talker...." As a gesture of good will, he slowly closed his coat, keeping his personal armory out of plain sight. The man sounded more innocent than he looked.
"Please."
To the law and for the good of man. All I need to live by.The security guard wordlessly handed the radio over and then bolted, leaving Jon behind in the dust. However, if he so desired, the guard was still within range of any gun Jon has in his arsenal.
Her thrown baton would have struck true, but unfortunately for Batwoman, the taller man ditched the crate at the last second. He then ran away, screaming.
"Guys, we got bats!" he yelled.
The shorter man fell on the ground, clutching his arm. He groaned with pain. Then he spat at Batwoman's feet.
"You dumb bitch." he sneered at her. "You're gonna die now."
So much for stealth, Batwoman thought. She was starting to think it might have been better to take Batman up on his offer of training when he'd made it.
She swiveled, aiming a hard kick and a combat boot at the head of the man closest to her.

"You are my future selves? Am I having a Mid-Life Crisis?" The War Doctor - Day of The DoctorSeeing the fleeing guard, Gunisher decided it would be a good time to make himself visible. Or more precisely, to make his feet visible to the guard's back, as he jumped out of the tree at him.
When Gordon's group of mercenaries arrived at the zoo, they would find that the zoo was located deep within Gotham City Park. A ten-foot iron black gate circled the zoo, preventing anyone from entering. Until, they could find a way past the black gates they really couldn't see much of the interior of the zoo. The front gate was padlocked and there stood a short man in a zoo security guard uniform, smoking a ciggarette. He didn't appear to be armed but he did carry a walkie talkie on his belt. Apart from him, the zoo looked deserted but there were loud animal sounds to be heard coming from inside, as if someone had angered the animals.
