Ah I've started my ambition, Hearts Desire, That's a good one right?
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.they're all good
@Endless Sea: and I'm trying to get Connected: Docks 25 (for possible Rat-Catcher job)...19 right now...Tavern Dust-up is pretty cool for that...
Anyway, anyone have some general info on what major plot points and location each ambition covers?

Give me cute or give me...something?Tis is I - send me a card if you'd like, delicious troper. Started playing this a couple weeks ago, just brought Sunless Sea a couple days ago. It's good stuff.
"The literal meaning of life is whatever you're doing that prevents you from killing yourself." Albert CamusTypically ambitions cover their respective skill areas.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Huh, so I got an Unclear Device in Sunless Sea...seems to be a miniature version of the thing they use in Liberation of Night...and only temporary, since its use here is to reduce illumination...of you AND enemy. And it increase terror by 40!

Give me cute or give me...something?So, Paid a visit to mirror marches today, out of curiousity (And figure I could get a trip done while I still had low dream levels), Fairly interesting, tho- It's kinda hard to know which pathways are beneficial and which are a waste of skill investment.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Went crazy, spent several hours getting out of the marches...and I'm NOT using Orthographic Infection again, ever.
Still not sure what ambition to pick...has dangerous as highest stat right now, follow by watchful...
^Good thing about the marches is that it doesn't lower your dream progress...or stats...unlike the hotel.

Give me cute or give me...something?On the skill reduction issue, I found using oppourtunity cards at Hotel of Some confusion is quicker than Mirror Marches, well at least with my shitty watchful stats and lack of story progress to take advantage of Mirror Marches.
Also the manager comes across like the only sane man in a sea of insanity.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.^ Of course, he's the manager...I don't think anyone want madman in charge of curing other madman lol...
Also, finally picked an ambition...I'm gonna hunt the Vake! Guess I'll make my character some kind of Great White Hunter and Explorer of the Unknown kind of thing...

Give me cute or give me...something?Kind tropers, I humbly asks for an iron token. In appreciation, I'll keep the stabbing to a minimum and won't undly ambush my benefactor.
"The literal meaning of life is whatever you're doing that prevents you from killing yourself." Albert CamusArgh, I should have discovered this earlier! If I knew I wouldn't have spend a lot unlocking the way to the Docks!
Give me cute or give me...something?Well I didn't expect happy feels in Fallen London
But the Persuasive ending of Mysterious Benefactor just brought a tear to my eye.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Anyone know how to unlock the way to the Palace?
all of the mysterious benefactor stories tug at your heart strings
^^ The requirement should be in the unlock page...
Give me cute or give me...something?Ugh, does anyone know of a good way to reduce scandal besides grinding the fickle RNG at the church? I've come to the conclusion that Being Exiled to the Tomb Colonies is probably the worst Menace Penalty of all.
At least A State of Some Confusion has fascinating tales to go with its madness and stat loss. Exiled to the tomb colonies is a boring grind of reading letters, they don't even describe what the Tomb colonies are like, or options to explore!
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Nope, I don't think there's any way to reduce scandal other than the Church gamble...I remember failing that 6 times in a row...
Technically the Stain remover also works with scandal, but the scandal reduction for that is SO TINY...I came back from the tomb-coloniesa while ago...guess what's my highest menace right now? SCANDAL!
Guess I might find 1-2 times to try head to the Hotel then...I've been avoiding it like plague (I went mad once, got to Mirror-marches instead)
Oh well, at least right now I managed to get all stat except shadowy to >70 (shadowy is 69), so I now can ditch the training job and get actual one! I pick Rat-catcher...
Also also: the living story that can increase your stat seems to heavily favor Persuasive...Subject of Admiring Attention seems to trigger every 2 days, while the others (A Name Written in Blood, Dream of Other Places, the Shadowy one) takes much longer to trigger...and it's quite funny...I try get the SOAA trigger from rare success at risque joke...the funny thing? Each after I finish SOAA I immediately go to tell risque joke...I end up with rare success (required to trigger SOAA living story)...on the first try. SEVERAL TIMES IN A ROW! It's like the game REALLY want me to be more persuasive!

Give me cute or give me...something?as long as you have a memory of light you go to them mirror marches
also i myself wouldn't want to go to the royal bethlehem hotel since the dream reduction kind of sucks
Scandal troubles? Really? I'm trying to get my scandal up. I'm at the point where it goes down even when I don't want it to. (Trying to get to the Tomb-Colonies, for the record. I've unlocked a storylet that needs me to go there to catch something or other.)
but HOW?Harumm, well at least at 80 Persuasive I can still consistently raise my scandal to high numbers on a regular basis just from visiting the Duchess' salon. Stupid Wine grinding.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.^^ There's no special action to get you to raise scandal specifically in Nemesis? Or it's not ambition-related? Weird...Bag a Legend has one to raise suspicion when you need to go to New Newgate...

Give me cute or give me...something?Sooooo...new event! I finally got myself a destiny!
Give me cute or give me...something?Same here. Pondered a bit, but I decided to goes with conquest and immortality. My second choice was between the stars, though.

Oh hey this thread is a thing. Forgot about that. I'd have something to say here, but all I can think of is how annoying trying to get my Connected: Criminals to 20 is. I'm pretty much stuck with the odd visit to the Repentant Forger now.
but HOW?
