Series often get rebooted in 20 years.

I really hope the horrible friend characters get either downplayed or dropped.

Zoe was a pretty good friend. Dijonay and La Cienega not so much.

That is why I said specifically horrible. Zoe can stay.

Zoe was the best but still not great. She would ditch the others while apologizing at least.

I'm pretty sure all the friends but Sticky are coming back, their V As confirmed it at one point or another.

A bit of news came out in regards to the upcoming Proud Family revival. Keke Palmer is voicing a character named Maya.

It’s almost astounding how rare a show like The Proud Family is these days. You don’t think much about that at the time of its run but there are relatively few black animated sitcoms out there. The only ones I can think of are Fat Albert, The P Js, and The Cleveland Show. Are there any more? Does Static Shock count?

There was little bill and doc mcstuffins but they're for Pre-K viewers.

x2: Static Shock is an action cartoon, not a sit(uational) com(edy). A better modern example would be Craig of the Creek, which recently announced a preschool spin-off starring his little magical girl-loving sister Jessie.

Though, you do have a point that we can always get more prominently-led African/African-American animated series for different age groups.

For adult animation there's also the boondocks which I've heard is getting a reboot too. I love predominantly black shows, seen a lot of fresh prince, kenan and kel, that's so raven, sister sister, and meet the browns. I would love more animated sitcoms (an all animated kenan and kel reboot in particular I think would be cool. Imagine disney acid sequence art shifts whenever kel brought up his love of orange soda.)

Disney Plus Hot Star released a teaser trailer for the Proud Family revival.

Apparently, that was a fan channel that got the trailer from Disney Plus Hot Star. I'm guessing it was released too early, hence why it was taken down.

I just realized several years later that Papi looks eerily like the Joker.

It's a nod to jokers actor from the Adam west Batman series.

I will said if there is a series that deserve a revival, is this one.

At around the 35 second mark, it says that the revival will come out in February. Considering how it's Black History Month, it's very fitting.
