The crossover I never knew I wanted until now.

Sesame Street has ramped up with the parodies, which makes sense. Toddlers and children these days are much more exposed to general pop culture thanks to immediate access to streaming and notebooks with internet in them.

It also helps that HBO is funding Sesame Street in exchange for exclusive first airing rights of Sesame Street on HBO.

Man, Sesame Street has really come a long way since I watched it as a kid.

I both feel young again and very, very old.

Disgusted, but not surprised

Changes:

- more reliance on CGI, green-screened backgrounds.

- a new puppet girl character who is a positive representation of autism.

- parodies, as said.

Do they still air some of the older sketches like the T-Shirt store one or Teeny Little Super Guy, or are those lost to old reruns?

Not surrre. I do know they added stop-motion sketches of the usual puppet characters, just .... in stop-motion voiced by the same cast, since I happened upon one when visiting my niece. ... I am an adult, I don't very well follow Sesame Street lol! [lol]

Worry. There's a not-zero chance he might win.

Considering Carl Benjamin is virtually illiterate, he'd probably end up embarassing himself if he ever got the word in EU parliament anyway.

Shame about the waste of money, though.

I had been noticing over the years that so called rational people are not so rational after all. I never subscribed to those guys and after seeing what happened to them, I am glad I never subscribed to them.

The so called "skeptic" community has been pretty much hijacked by right-wing shitheads. I'm glad that people like Dusty Smith saw the light and distanced themselves from them.

Remember the last guy we said that about?

Trump winning the US election doesn't mean every stupid asshole will suddenly get elected.

Not to mention that the comparison between a well-known TV celebrity being elected US president and some random guy on You Tube who's mostly known for not being able to read sources being potentially elected into EU parliament is rather flawed.

Furthermore EU parliament is already dealing with stupid assholes on a regular basis. As a reminder, Nigel Farage is a MEP - considering how he regularly makes a fool of himself, I doubt somebody less articulate than him would do any better.

Honestly, he won't be worse than Farage and his ilk anyway.

[up] Well, depends where he is placed on the list. He runs for Ukip, right? If he is the first one listed, he will most likely get a seat. If he is further down the list it depends on how many votes Ukip will get.

My point was that even if he ends up in EU parliament, it wouldn't actually matter.

What's he gonna do, insult the parliamentary president? Farage was already doing that.

And considering the stuff Benjamin thinks is acceptable to say, there's a good chance he might just end up getting booted out of sessions, as there are rules of conduct.
