Sara Lance was driving into New York City, having decided to take a short stay in the U.S.

She was a U.S. citizen via her mother, so was free to enter and leave anytime she wanted. To her, it was the best of both worlds, being both British and American.

Sara was dressed casually but comfortably, in a silk blouse that was navy blue, and some jeans with ankle boots. Not haute fashion, but comfortable nonetheless.

She was on the freeway into New York driving her car, a 1993 Chevrolet Oldsmobile Cutlass 3.1 V6 sedan, which was colored in a shade of satin red, which glinted in the sunlight. She was annoyed by a motorist who had decided to cut her up as he exited the freeway at high speed.

Sara had bought the Chevrolet in Mexico, and then decided to import it to the U.S. for a year while she was in the U.S. for her year-long stay.

"Dammit, I've got to get to New York City, bloody idiots!" she thought. Sara had come to New York for a research assignment on wealthy people and their cars, which she was writing for the blogosphere. She wrote for 3-4 motoring blogs on a freelance basis, and was well-liked, not quite a celebrity, but popular nonetheless. She had no social media to speak of, other than her own site, which was more of a "this is my portfolio" thing. Yes, it sounded very Gossip Girl-y but she was never one to follow the crowd with everything.

A driver in a Prius, who looked no older than being in her 60s, was in front of her, and Sara was getting annoyed by the driver's sluggish behavior

"Grrr... speed up!" Sara thought. "If I don't get here in time I won't get paid, and then what?"

Sara knew what she was writing about, and had a plan for interview questions about the weird and wonderful cars that the wealthy New York elite owned.

She'd experienced traffic jams before in her native Britain, but to her, these American drivers were causing her nothing but stress, pain and confusion.

Her car remained stuck in the congestion on the freeway and she began to scream (in her head), thinking "When will I EVER get to New York City?"

Now what was going on? People popping in and out, things were really picking up, and now Sam was looking worried and Karma was almost crying? Bugger THAT.

"Ok, so back up. This guy, the Weeper, Crybaby, whatever...he's a big bad guy? You fellows have clearly run into him before and he was unpleasant. So now Karma thinks he might have taken her friend's dad. So lets all get together with anyone else you know and just hit this guy! Have Mr. Surprise here" she gestured to Access" get us all as close to this fellow as we can and let's make a plan to find this Raven guy. You know he's coming, somehow, so why not just take the fight to him?" Paige cracked her knuckles in what she hoped was a confident manner, internally wincing because it kinda hurt. Action!

Battery Park

Booster flew down to meet the press, making sure to position himself so that the Statue of Liberty was photogenically perfect behind his right shoulder and waved his hands to calm the press's chattering.

"Calm down, calm down," he urged, "Ladies and gentlemen of the press, there will be time for questions in a minute. First, there's something I need to say." Booster ran his fingers through his hair and tried to steady himself. "When I came back in time, what I really wanted was to be someone. To be famous. Being a superhero was a childhood dream and the best way to do that. I'm not proud of that, but it's the fact. The time I've spent in the 21st century, though... I've seen crime and injustice, things I could have prevented with my knowledge of the future but couldn't because I was afraid. Afraid to tamper with history. Afraid to alter the timestream. But I can't be afraid anymore. Not with such obvious evil on the horizon. Evil I can and will prevent. It's time to be honest. With myself and with the American people." Slowly, he reached up and pulled off his visor and peeled back his cowl.

"My name is Michael John Carter," he declared, "And today I'm announcing my candidacy for President of the United States."

Bio-Ship

Access blinked at Paige. He was pretty sure he didn't know who she was. Nor did he care, right now.

"Explanations later" he just said, to no one in particular. "I'm off to find Raven."

POP.

He reappeared in Stark Tower.

"Raven! Are you here? We need you!!" he shouted, hoping the sorceress, or at least the AI butler, would hear him.

Illusory Forest

If Wyngarde were to take a closer look at the book, he would find many of were either too faded to read or in a completely alien language. The only things visible were pictures of the same alien on the cover teaching what were various techniques. The most striking were the ones depicting the alien and a raccoon, the latter seemingly defending itself......

Meanwhile, the raccoon continued its desperate run from Frost, barely dodging her shots. Eventually the raccoon would take the chase out of the forest and into the ruins of what was an abandoned city that had been long overgrown by nature. From the looks of it, this city was once a futuristic City that was clearly ravaged by war before the plant life crept within and took it over. The only things more numerous than the foliage were the remains of destroyed robots. Or more accurately, giant sized toys that were heavily modded to become war mechs. Despite the damage and the rust, Frost would clearly see the robots were of two opposing sides: One side consisted of medieval knights and similar imagery while the other held a circus theme, mostly consisting of creepy looking clowns.

Beyond them, Forst would chance glimpses of posters depicting various people and things. Many of them looked like wanted posters showing off various alien creatures, most of them looking like extras from a space opera, including ones that had the Joker, Lex Luthor, Norman Osborn, and Mr. Negative, but there were others depicting various people in poses like movies and/or sports posters, in particular Power Girl, Superman, Batman, Blue Beetle, that one girl who carried Captain America's shield during the Joker riots, and Iron Man. There was also posters of a beautiful woman with white hair and six arms, but that one seems to be overshadowed by the other posters.

The raccoon managed to hide behind the base of a statue depicting another raccoon triumphantly holding up some sort of mechanical insect, seemingly ripped fresh out the back of some random person the critter was standing on. The raccoon took a moment to calm himself. Despite being scared out of its mind, its primitive brain tried to formulate a plan to escape this strange and frightening giant. Unfortunately, there was only one place to go.

It had to lead the giant over to one place where it would never go if given the choice.........the one place scarier than any predator it would ever encounter........it had to go........to the    BAD    place.......

Rogue, Annoyed

As Access continued being a teleporting jumping bean, Rogue decided to check with Rocket's turtle assistant.

"Hey you, turtle guy," Rogue spoke through the communicator to Pyko. "How's Rocket doin'?"

The response was immediate, with a near deafening chorus of "Booster Gold!" drowning out any actual questions.

Stark Mansion

There had been a distant sound of muted conversation down the corridor. A moment after Access called out, the door opened a crack, and Raven poked her head out. "Hey. Be with you in just a moment." Cue the fresh burst of frustration from Access.

Illusion

Emma's little hunt subsided for a moment, giving way to a leisurely sightseeing stroll. "Me oh my... Our little rodent's got quite the subconscious, hasn't he?"

"Think I've got some info on his training regimes," said Wyngarde, flipping through the little book. "Let's see him outwit us once we know his strategies off by heart, eh?"

Emma smirked. "He's heading into the lower strata. Let's see what qualify for his deepest, darkest secrets." Licking her lips, she strolled leisurely onwards, letting Rocket lead the way.

Access had to hold himself back from saying (or doing) anything improper. He needed Raven's help, after all.

What was she doing, anyway? Somehow she didn't strike him as the type of girl who spent hours putting on makeup. Her goth look was natural, right?

Then he remembered the guys in the ship mentioning she... had a boyfriend? Dark Heart or something? Sounds like a Care Bears villain. Not that he cared, right now.

He silently stared at the door, and waited. But she'd better answer soon, or that door would suddenly pop into the nearest city dump.

Communications

"You'll be happy to know Rocket managed to successfully infiltrate the Hellfire Club's Inner Circle and managed to record one of their meetings!" Pyko proudly proclaimed. "I'm going through the some of audio recordings right now, and its some really juicy stuff! Unfortunately, I lost his signal just as he got outside the building. Some kinda interference messing with the positioning system. I suspect either magic, powerful psionics, or both. I'll keep you posted."

Illusion

The raccoon warily came out of his hiding place, hopeful it lost the giants.....but then screeched in fear and ran when it saw them. It ran to the    BAD PLACE   , not know the giant was letting the raccoon them right to it.

Soon the raccoon ran directly into what looked like a futuristic military bunker. The raccoon continued to run, and the hallway continued to lead downwards, further and further underground. Sterile walls and artificial eventually gave way more and more to carved stone and lit torches. Frost and Wyngarde found themselves in some kind of darkened, ancient temple underneath the bunker, despite the only room was just the single hallway.

The two would eventually lose track of the raccoon as it passed through the last arch with torchlight, putting the two psychics in total darkness. The only things they could sense was the floor they were standing on and the sounds of their footsteps. Not even going backwards helped.

Soon, there was a light.......a shining, radiant white light in the distance. Going forward, the light shone brighter and brighter......leading in a large, domed room. In the very center of this room was the source of the light......

It was some sort of strange........thing, enveloped completely in white light. Any more details were obscured by the brilliant light that emanated from it......but the light was neither harsh or blinding, but gentle and warm, like thick, obscuring blankets........

But then above the light was, at first glance, a skeletal statue made from a material that was even blacker in color than the darkness itself. Most striking was that this statue was almost covered in various haphazard material slapped upon it. Ropes, chains, cement, concrete, mortar, bricks, metal plating secured by rivets, wooden boards nailed down, the list went on. All of these materials were used to somehow.....prevent the statue from going near the ball of light.......and whatever visible parts were where the statue managed to break in...........

Rogue, Uneasy About The Situation

"Right... You save that material and tell me immediately if Rocket needs our help, okay?" Rogue replied to Pyko. "The Weeper has shown back up again, and Access reasonably is being all... jumpy with his teleportin'"

A couple more mutterings beyond the door, including what sounded a lot like a young man's voice, followed by a brief silence, and then Raven opened the door once more. "All right Access, what's up?"

Rocket's Subconscious

Emma could barely contain her excitement as she and her fellow psychic followed the raccoon deep into the bowels of the bunker. "Oh, this has to be some real dirt we're uncovering down here. What day you think he's burying? Military secrets? Childhood trauma? Closeted fetish, maybe?"

"It didn't take long for you to lower the tone, did it?"

"Did I say you could talk, Wyngarde?"

Wyngarde grunted indignantly, but the two pressed onwards into the deep darkness of the halfworldian soul. It wasn't long before they reached the crown jewel of the subconscious, but any perverse anticipation Emma might have had was soon shifted in favour of bewilderment and apprehension at the strange sight before them. "What...in the world...?"

After a few seconds staring at the light and the skeleton, Wyngarde ventured a guess. "Metaphor, d'you think?" he said, "Maybe the lint ball's just really into modern art."

Emma stepped up to get a closer look at the skeleton, and cocked her head in confusion. After a second or two, she had what was in all likelihood a terrible idea. Summoning her mental control, she attempted to try shifting some of the random debris, un-thinking a few of the blockades thought up, to unwrap the twisted creature within.

"The Weeper is back!" Access began. "Don't ask me how because I don't know, I just know because I can feel his presence like a dull pain that won't go away! I tried asking Doctor Fate for help but he wasn't home so sorry but you'll have to do. Say goodbye to your guest and get ready to leave" he added in a way that made clear he wasn't going to take no for an answer.

Once again Booster Gold, Michael John Carter, held up his hands for silence. "Please," he implored with his typical easy smile, "I'll answer all of your questions, but I need them one at a time. I'm not going anywhere in a hurry." He pointed to a reporter at random. "Yes, you?"
