@Lizard: I'm thinking of making him, despite his background and the fact that he's a raccoon, to become a rather serious character that people take seriously.

Good luck. I certainly look forward to seeing him in action. I've already thought of some fairly ludicrous plots I could do with him in the far future.

Actually, I was planning on having him in more down to Earth stuff, like dealing with crime bosses and catching bounties on Earth, as well as having moments of character development as he sympathizes and shows compassion to some of the clinically insane villains and heroes, being a member of a race that's engineered to treat the mentally ill.

Those are some very good aims for your character, and I look forward to seeing you carry them out. There's definitely going to be a few crime bosses that need sorting, that's for sure, though I haven't planned out many mentally ill characters yet. Might be a little difficult for a raccoon to get jobs and negotiate deals, but I'm sure he'll find a way.

Name: The Blue Beetle

Real Name: Jaime Reyes. Khaji Da

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Appearance: [1]

Alignment: Good

Personality:

Jaime Reyes- Jaime has an acute sense of responsibility for his family and friends, though he complains about being the one to sort out any messes. He derives a lot of strength and courage from the love and support of his family. He is a really nice guy. His darkest desire is to become a dentist. He gets along really well with Booster Gold and his predecessor, Ted Kord who is still the Blue Beetle. He has begun to care for the alien scarab attached to his spine. He does his best to teach Khaji Da about morality.

Khaji Da- Khaji Da is a alien scarab fused to Jaime Reyes spine. He has begun to care for Jaime Reyes and is learning morality from him. The scarab always leaps immediately to the deadly solution. The more dangerous the opponent is the more dangerous weapons he will suggest Jaime use. Khaji Da hates, and is hated by, the Green Lantern's. Khaji Da refuses to harm nature.

Powers and abilities/ Weapons and Equipment: I put this here because its the same thing. The Blue Beetle has way to many to list here. Go here [2], for a mostly full and comprehensive list of all his powers. For a short example of what he can do, he can grow a suit of power armor, he can see, go into, and pull things out of "The Bleed" and extra-dimensions, He can make a lot of weapons and adapt those to his needs, and he can fly. To make a long story short, the scarab can do just about anything. It has a difficult time making non-lethal weapons.

Origin: The Blue Beetle is a legacy hero, there has benn two of them before him. The scarab was inactive during that period of time so neither of the previous Blue Beetle's fused with the scarab. One day Jaime found the scarab on his way home and took it with him. The scarab fused into his spine. Later that day, Booster Gold took him into space and he saved the universe. Jaime went missing in space and came back a year later. He has been acting as a super-hero since then. He is currently trying to figure out how to defeat "The Reach". Khaji Da's memory bank was damaged and he does not fully remember all of his capabilities.

Hmm...

First things First: That is a lot of powers, but most of them either seem acceptable or probably won't come into play for a while. However, I'm afraid I may have to impose limitations on certain abilities.

  • Energy Manipulation and Energy Bubble: I'd much like Blue Beetle not to have that just yet, so how about if it only activates when struck by a Lantern energy construct. Like the scarab is 'remembering' that skill and absorbing the power to put it into action. Also, when it finally comes around, it will naturally need time to recharge.

  • Antagonist Adaptation: The key word here is 'adaptation', and if it's okay, I'd like that to be the reactive kind. The armour can only adapt once it has been attacked by the thing itself (not including attacks easily blocked by shields) or once it learns that antagonist's weakness.

  • Vibrational Frequency Manipulation and Bleed Diving: ...yyyeah, slipping in and out of the universe is kind of a big deal. Frankly, I'm kind of hesitant about him having that power, period. Even if he does, it's gonna be a while before he has it, and it's gonna take up a huge load of energy.

Apart from that, it all seems fine. Weapons, networking, waste disposal and all.

Second things second: The backstory. This being an alternate universe and all, keep in mind that events may differ from old canon. That said, there's nothing wrong with there being a legacy character, as there may well have been a Blue Beetle in the Justice Society. But there's no guarantee that Ted Kord is also currently a Blue Beetle, until someone signs up to play as him. And even if Booster Gold travels back in time to whisk him off to save reality, it most likely won't be Infinite Crisis.

All that okay?

Strato: 'S fine.

#35: Jul 10th 2012 at 2:32:48 PM

  • Name: Batman
  • Real Name: Bruce Wayne
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Mid to late 30s
  • Appearance: (A description is fine, but pictures are preferred.)
  • Alignment: Good.
  • Personality: As Bruce Wayne, he likes to put on the pretense of being a showboating millionare playboy and to some extent this is true... however, when in his Batman suit, he's all business, although he does sometimes retain a flair for the theatrical when swooping down on criminals.
  • Powers and Abilities: Being the goddamn Batman, Wayne has no innate superpowers. He does, however, have a wide variety of technological augmentations and hand-to-hand weaponry built into his sophisticated armor, such as a deployable glider built into his cape and his signature "Batarangs".
  • Weapons and Equipment: See above.
  • Origin: Basically the same as the original Batman origin.

(Will improve on later, this is just so you know that I'm in the game.)

[up][up]Tentatively accepted, though I'll hold out on putting him on the roster until the profile is quite complete.

You may have to come up with a reason for him being in New York rather than Gotham, but that shouldn't be the least bit difficult for a playboy millionaire.

Ichigo: Yeah, she could work, if her powers weren't quite at their peak yet. For instance, she could perhaps only cause rain or lightning with fairly small clouds, and too much could leave her feeling drained until she improves.

Vampire Hunter
#40: Jul 10th 2012 at 5:24:29 PM

Name: Rogue

Real Name: Anna Marie Carlyle

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Appearance: Here.

Alignment: Neutral; this is a version of Rogue prior to her joining any team.

Personality: She would be more outgoing if it were not for her power. She acts withdrawn around others, wanting to keep them at arm's length so she doesn't accidently touch them. She is also confused and a bit frightened at what she has become.

Powers and Abilities:

  • Power Absorption: Rogue can steal powers, abilities, memories, and personalities from a person for a short period of time through skin to skin contact, much like her mainstream counterpart. Also like her mainstream counterpart, Rogue's touch could be lethal if she held on for too long. Should Rogue kill someone with her powers, or absorbs the last bit of life force someone has left before dying, then she will permanently absorb their skills/abilities/powers/psyche etc.
  • Street fighting: Living in Mutant Town has made her tough enough and skilled enough to easily beat up most untrained and unarmed thugs without using her powers. However, anyone actually trained in a martial art could beat Rogue in a fair non-powered fight.
  • Bilingual: Having lived in a Mississippi county that is near Louisiana's bayous, Rogue is fluent in the Cajun dialect of French in addition to knowing English.

Weapons and Equipment: None important save for an outfit that covers most of her body except for her head.

Origin: Rogue was living in Mississippi when her mutant power activated while she was kissing her boyfriend, Cody Robbins. After leaving Cody in a coma, Rogue ran away from home, eventually ending up in New York. She doesn't have any idea where she is going, but she believes she wants to be left alone.

Estimates point to something in the area of "fucking enormous". Let's do it.

  • Name: Storm
  • Real Name: Ororo Munroe
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 18
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Alignment: Good
  • Personality: Quiet and stoic. She has a softer side and feels it her duty to protect people; her strong power (in her opinion) can give her a tendency to try to handle things on her own when she really would need backup.
  • Powers and Abilities: Weather control. Can summon small storm clouds and lightning, and manipulate the wind to fly. She is resistant to the effects of temperature (heat or cold). the next stage in her power evolution would be the ability to control ice, but I don't want to go there if you feel it would be overpowered.
  • Weapons and Equipment: None of note.
  • Origin: Born to N'Dare and David Munroe, Storm lives in New York, where she was orphaned at age 6 by a terrorist attack. Almost crushed under the rubble, she developed severe claustrophobia, and therapy at a foster home has only diminished the fear a little. Her powers manifested a few years ago, and she was recruited to the Academy at the age of 14.

It's definitely a reboot; I'm trying to make Storm into a character I can play a bit better.

Maybe a rule where you can play as one Marvel character and one DC character?

Rogue and Storm accepted. Though I'd still like to see something for the Appearance before I put Batman or Storm on the front page.

Definitely need something to make sure there are more DC characters. It's not too much of a problem yet, but still rather top heavy. I could try putting up a rule about thinking up both a DC and Marvel character, and if any of you guys find someone you could sweet talk into enlisting and enlisting as a D Cer, that'd be grand.

Is it still possible to submit characters?
If so, here we go:

     Green Lantern
  • Name: The Green Lantern
  • Real Name: Kyle Rayner
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Early Twenties
  • Appearance: Ta-Da! (Note however, face isn't red.)
  • Alignment: Good
  • Personality: When first met, Kyle appears to be a friendly, smart and overall funny (if sarcastic) guy. However, the more you get to know him the more you see how out of his depth he feels. All this "super-hero crap" is overwhelming him and he still doesn't consider himself to be worthy of the power he wields. He is however a fundementally good person. He will never turn down a call for help, although he'll often make a big show of complaining about it beforehand. This makes him appear quite headstrong, which is a correct analysis. He doesn't think things through nearly as carefully as he should. He's also a little naive, and refuses to believe that there are people out there that are beyond redemption.
  • Powers and Abilities: Hard Light constructs, flight, energy blasts.
  • Weapons and Equipment: The green lantern ring that he wears on his right hand. When at home, his graphics tablet, personal computer and a sketchpad with a small army of pencils.
  • Origin: Before becoming the Green Lantern, Kyle was a struggling artist/graphics designer working out of Los Angeles. Whilst he'd managed to get some light freelance work to pay the bills, it seemed like his life and his career were going nowhere, despite his artistic talent. Then, one winter, everything changed. Kyle had been visiting his grand-parents in Kansas and was out for a moonlit walk when a meteor strike derailed a passing freight train. Miraculously, he survived. When he regained consciousness he found a glowing green lantern at his feet. It made some sort of mental contact with Kyle and implied that it had saved his life. Since the contact was mostly insitinctual, Kyle was unable to directly communicate with it or ask any specific questions, but he felt compelled to take it with him after checking the scene for any other casualties.
A couple of nights later, almost sleepwalking, he wandered into his Grandfather's garage, lantern in tow, and fashioned a ring from scrap metal. Wearing it and placing it in contact with the lanter following an oath he didn't recognise, Kyle unleashed the power of the Green Lantern and was reobrn a hero.
He has since made his way ot New York, after a brief series of adventures exploring his new abilities.

It is still possible to add new characters, and more DC people are very welcome. However, I'm reluctant to include the powerful Lantern Corps so soon in the game.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have a Green Lantern in at some point. But for now, I'm afraid I may have to put Kyle into reserve, until after a few events.

Hope that's okay.
