Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Damn, Saiyuki.
It does seem pretty polished, all things considered. I don’t quite know what I think of it yet, but I do think it’s better than most of the other new series, with the exception of Chainsawman.
Oh God! Natural light!Huh, I wasn't sure if Kishimoto ever was going to get something new, despite word to the contrary.
Saiyuuki mostly has a good sense of pacing. It managed to expose its basic concepts and stakes concisely and get straight to the meat of the plot without feeling rushed. Something that a series like Bozebeats tried to do but it fell flat on its face.
Kishimoto will only write the story this time though.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I’m curious, how did Bozebeats fell flat on its face in comparison to Saiyuuki?
I am rather interested in Kishi’s new seiries. The overall setting feels ...... unique & the art looks nice.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I liked Bozebeats honestly, but past the first chapter there was a lot of infodump and not terribly interesting fights that kinda drowned the mystery plot that was being set up. It tried to do too many things at once, basically… From what I remember at least.
I don't think it deserved to be axed after only 14 chapters though. =[
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I'm impressed Saiyuki made 6th place. A lot better than Chainsaw Man's start.
It was a strong start for Saiyuki, though.
... And that's called jazz!what is Saiyuki all about?
To quote the strangely dead Saiyuuki thread:
It follows Ryuunosuke, a grade schooler fan of baseball. His mother is dead (because the concept of having two parents alive is just silly), but one day he gets introduced to his new little sister − a blind, disabled and almost mute girl named Koharu, whom Ryuu's father asks him to take care of. Ryuu is quite upset at first but soon discovers that Koharu is no ordinary girl: her voice has the power to make monsters appear from the deep-rooted fears of humans. And there are people who would like to get their hands on that power. The only way to rein it in is to make Koharu love humans… and that's what her big brother is here for.
Then as the name suggests, it starts to reference Journey to the West with the Nyōibō, Son Gokū and such, and plot happens. It's pretty old school fantasy with a tinge of horror.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Sounds neat, too bad no one is scantalating it so I can't read it because I'm broke as shit and sure can't pay for reading it lol.
You can read it for free on Mangaplus though.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. No one's scanlating it, really? Haven't kept up with it and never read it outside Mangaplus, so I wouldn't know.
Maybe this will change now that it got a reasonably good place in the rankings?
... And that's called jazz!Well, why would anyone bother? Mangaplus has effectively rendered English scanlation useless for new Jump series. That's why the team that did Act-Age dropped it for example.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. It's gonna be kind of a bummer after some time, though.
... And that's called jazz!Huh I’m reading it on Kissmanga.
I’m rather enjoying Saiyuuki, especially the art. It’s cartoony with big eyes but always very clean & sharp.
It has that pristine shading that gives me an eye-orgasm.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Most jump series I follow are being translated by not mangaplus. Plus I assumed it was paid because its a partner of Viz and corporations are greedy motherfuckers.
Btw... The Last Saiyuuki is actually pretty good with an established plot going on. Kind of reminds me of Kimetsu no Yaiba a little bit even if I havent read KnY as for now.
As for Yui Kamio however... Honestly the manga needs a bit of a work on its ploting. Maybe could be a decent gag manga but who knows.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."For those in North America, the latest three chapters of any series is free to read on the official Shonen Jump website. just a reminder.
Last I heard the eligible countries were the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, the Philippines, Singapore, and India.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. If you're talking about Mangaplus (which is official IIRC), I'm not from any of those countries either and I can read content there just fine.
... And that's called jazz!SKJAM and I, at least, are talking about this. It's only been a thing for a coupla months. If you don't see a thing that says "Latest Free Chapters" on top you're not from one of the countries they like.

Readers may not be that welcome with long running series since those have a trend of going bad the longer they last. Also this trend might be good since it keep thing fresh and don't over stay.
E.T technically is a Isekai movie
