Yeah, but he's a dick far more often than he's not. Being a Jerk with a Heart of Gold is kinda his whole thing. He'll save a person's life, but he'll be a massive dickhead about it.

The Runaways now being adults when their OG series was basically all about teens hating adults is pretty hilarious now that we're talking about it. I'd like to see a run where they have another run-in with the Excelsior/Loners team and Darkhawk is like "YEAH HOW'S IT FEEL".

Its a general problem with the game removing all edge from the characters.

Robbie Reyes is a great example where he loses his punk/ruffian aspects to his character so he can be the chummiest most wholesome boy around.

And Magik while her character is pretty good in the game, her more villainous character traits were sanded off so she's more of an antisocial loner instead of someone who would let her brother suffer as the Juggernaut so she can teach him a lesson.

And sometimes psychopathic supervillain from what I hear.

I've already mentioned before that the last Runaways run was largely about the Runaways confronting the fact they were becoming adults and not really knowing how to deal with it.

Even 13 year old Molly was feeling angst about growing up and not being the "baby sister" of the group much longer.

She is Colossus' sister yes and yes she is indeed a psychopath.

She was raised in Hell for most of her life so she is pretty much a supervillain who happens to be working with the heroes.

Fitting for a bunch of a Runaways with no support system, they don't have much in the way of career aspects. They never wanted to be heroes so even then they are unsure of just what to do with their lives.

Man, I love that Hell is just casually a place people in the Marvel universe can visit.

They actively burned away any support systems they could have had

With Molly at least it made sense to get away from her grandmother. Karolina dropping out of college and breaking up with Julie not so much.

Doc Justice also turned out horribly wrong.

The crossover with Avengers Academy has Hank give the Runaways the most hands off offer of help they’ve ever gotten and they prefer sleeping in a hole.

After all interactions they’ve had with real superheroes who existed for more than five minutes, the Runaways decided to put some actual faith in Some Guy.

So the Runaways are just half-assing it. They could commit to being heroes, go to school, get a job, but they aren't doing anything.

So they are just skirting through life unsure of what to do.

Ahh, typical 20s lifestyle.

Would make it even better if they are coasting with the money their parents gave them.

They don’t have money but Old Lace, the Leapfrog, the Fistigons, and the Staff of One are all “inheritance” from their various families

Which they do kind of coast on

Do they have impressive qualities or are they more "average people who just fell ass backwards into super-heroing"?

Like any geniuses among them?

I was thinking about a shit post idea of a super hero who is basically a nepo baby who uses super heroics as an excuse to avoid their RL responsibilities like learning how to adult and become self sufficient.

And, I realize I've described quite a few characters in both Marvel and DC.

Nope, just regular people besides their powers and inherited stuff.

Though Chase does have an intuitive grasp for fixing machines despite never formally studying engineering.

That does happen a lot in super hero groups these days.

I mean being a massive jerk to adults and mainstream people IS Nico's personality.

Also, it was weird for Carol and Blade to be hooking up while she's inviting me to go on vacation with her in the Bahamas while we hot tub together.

I mean...sure, Carol, no one said we were exclusive but does Eric know that?

That is most likely a holdover of the originally planned romance options with the Marvel heroes that got cut out of development for "disrupting the canon", apparently the reason they gave.

Oh yeah, Midnight Suns is also part dating simulator.

That is a pretty funny idea.

Doctor Doom romance option when?

Doom actually was the sequel hook for the end of the game but sadly the game bombed.

So after finishing the announced DLC characters for Venom, Deadpool, Morbius, and Storm, Fireaxis has since ended all development on the game.

I meant to get the game but forgot to.
