Yes, we are in 2019 and that story is from the 1970s. Surely he has been the lead character of several other awesome stories in all this time. But it seems that I have missed them. Care to name some of them, so I check them?
Ultimate Secret WarsThe fact you are insinuating that Hank has done nothing of note in over 30 years since slapping Jan is like taking a hammer to the back of the head.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It was from the 1980's.
Off the top of my head: Getting over his issues, founding Avengers Academy, being part of Avengers Forever, leading the first Mighty Avengers team, etc.

west coast avengers, avengers academy, mighty avengers are a few
Becoming the goddamn Scientist Supreme.
I mean, we get it, if it wasn't written by Bendis or Millar in the Ultimate Universe, it never happened. But still.

My various fanfics.Avengers Academy Hank was very good
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThere was that issue of Geoff Johns' Avengers where Hank and Jan used their Pym Particles for sexytimes.
Although I have to ask exactly what Jan was supposed to do after Hank.
My various fanfics. To bad the retconned that.
I'll go with she turns small and uses her stingers to provide a certain.... sensation to a particular body part.
Just a guess here.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I have read all those, and I'm completely unimpressed. For example, what does Thor have to offer in this period? Beta Ray Bill's origin story, the Surtur saga, the death of Skurge, the curse of Hela, the Dark Gods, the Asgardians ruling earth, Thor Disassembled (a tie-in to the Avengers story but in name only), Asgard floating above Kansas, Siege, Fear Itself, agent of Asgard, Angela, Jane Foster Thor, Unworthy Thor, War of the Realms, etc.
In short: stories starred by him, his related characters and his lore (not by a team that includes him among others, note that I did not mention Avengers stories), including his own comic books and sometimes full crossover events. That's what makes Thor a big and important character. Pym has nothing near that.
Ultimate Secret Wars"What did Hank Pym ever do besides beating his wife?"
"Here's all the things he's done in the last thirty years."
"...Wait, hang on, I have to move this goalpost."
My various fanfics.Oh yes lets bring in Goddamn Thor.
Well then what has Janet done since being slapped?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I mean...
She's pretty great in Unstoppable Wasp.
Aaaand she was leader of The Avengers one time?
My various fanfics.x4 This is the same sort of logic that kept Vision and Wonderman and the rest more or less sidelined post-Dissasembled. Just because a character isn't a solo star or isn't 'important' doesn't mean they aren't worth something. And I think being a founding Avenger means a helluva lot.
As for Janet, she was leader of the Avengers. Twice. And the first time lasted most of the 80's.
She's also in Unstoppable Wasp and she's amazing there.
There was also that time in the 90's where she was turned into a wasp-lady. But we don't talk about that.

It certainly means a lot more than a single panel of accidentally backhanding someone in a moment of extreme duress.
One single panel that was even explained by the artist fucking up on the delivery and never intended for him to backhand her.
, Though going by Grigor's logic here, all that means jack-shit & is unimpressive compared to Thor's shit.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."And wasn't he going completely nuts then? That'd matter more than what basically looks like an accident.
Wake me up at your own risk.Yes, he was. It was later confirmed that Pym was suffering from Bipolar Disorder and having a manic episode. So, yeah. Not entirely his fault.
And apparently I recall that Jan emotionally abused him at the time which worsened his breakdown.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I'm not sure she was abusing him back then, but there was that time in the Silver Age where he developed his Yellowjacket persona and she took advantage of that to make him marry her. So she's still not completely innocent in this.
Is anyone reading the “War of the Realms” Thor event miniseries?
from what I’ve seen of it, the art is fantastic.
hank pym hit janet once in a manic episode of his mental illness and he has tried ever since to repent. he is not ultimate pym who abused janet nightly
Y'all, Grigor is a Troll. While I'm up for correcting them and calling them out, they're very clearly trying to provoke the rest of us.
Like Rodimus said, there's no purpose to debating them if all they come to the forum with is dismissal and vitriol.
Infinity Countdown and someone whose primary exposure to the character was the Ultimates probably
