Sorry for the double post but...

CD Projekt Red announced a live-action project set in Cyberpunk 2077 being developed.

2077 could have a pretty big comeback.

> The game has gotten to the point where turning in a side-quest (usually the grand theft auto kleping quests) causes the game to crash. So, we're talking every 5-10 mins.

If you are still having trouble with regular crashes, try disabling cross-platform saves in the settings. The number of crashes went from one comparable to yours to zero when I disabled them myself, even before 2.01 dropped.

I stopped having issues with the 2.01 update. Haven't had a problem since.

I had a persistent bug where during the "Own This Town", I ended up being unable to use the map or menu screen whenever I changed in or out of my disguise.

I had to save the game, log out, and then log back in to get it working.

So what's the best ending song in you all's opinion? The somber cover of "Never Fade Away" I always loved but God. Damn. Phantom Liberty is so awesome in it's totally Bond theme sound.

Patch 2.02 Notes

Mostly bugfixes, especially regarding new games started at the beginning of Phantom Liberty’s content.

Some weapons were rebalanced too, particularly Johnny’s iconic Malorian Arms 3516 handgun.

Bad news though… “Crafting specs for iconic weapons will now disappear after crafting the item.” I don’t like the implications behind that patch note. It was already more problematic in trying to improve the iconic weapons after the big update, and now they want to limit how many iconic we can craft? Sounds like they want players to not get attached to their weapons anymore since it’s so much harder to keep them upgraded and effective.

I've seen people complain about that and I'm not sure what the problem is exactly. It sounds to me like "You only get one per save file". Why would you want multiple of the same iconic weapon?

It also keeps them iconic and unique if you can only have one. Further= in-game economy. I'm sure they sell for eddies so they also don't want you crafting a billion of them to sell. That's not the intended use.

[up]They never sold to vendors for very much to begin with (even with max bartering skills), and even then the parts required to craft the Iconics frequently cost more than any profit you'd make. Dunno what the post-Phantom Liberty in-game economy is exactly like since I haven't bothered buying or selling very much (yet) but assuming it's the same then your real income is probably going to be either selling off excess looted gear, crafting mid-tier items and selling them, or hacking.

I'm also in the same boat; I've not really interacted with the economy post-PL much. I'm at end-game so there's not a ton to spend money on except the absurdly expensive cars which... tbh, I used cheat engine to get the money.

I've replayed this game four or five times at this point. I don't see it really as cheating at this point when I'm really just saving myself a couple hours of loot grinding.

[up]Assuming what I've heard from Reddit is accurate, a good chunk of the Gigs and their payouts got borked after the Phantom Liberty update, due to the rewards being based upon the player's level (or maybe reputation).

One egregious example was a mission that required you to purchase an item for a hefty sum, which in turn the client would pay you back any costs on top of your hiring fee. The problem? The client was set to pay out a certain amount... but for some reason, the item's cost wasn't fixed, meaning the item could easily end up costing far more than you'd ever be rewarded upon completion of the gig. Forgot the exact mission though, nor can I find it's thread on Reddit.

I love whatever idiot thought we needed an even more shitty version of GTA's gameplay. Yes, this is exactly what I want in a storyline mission that blocks doing anything until it's complete: fucking awful cop mechanics on tiny streets with a godawful car.

'Spring down side of all steep slopes' should not be the solution but whoops that wouldn't pad out this mission even more.

"Hit the exposed parts" is not very good boss advice if NONE OF IT LOOKS EXPOSED. Don't just flash something orange once and hope I remember it all... spent more than half the fight going "now what?" <_>

[up][up] Oh right, Nix's quest. I hadn't done that one since my first playthrough. So when I did it post-PL and I ended up with a negative payout from that gig, I was pondering if he'd stiffed me on purpose and kept trying to find some way to call him out on it.

Maybe it's due to my build being outdated and poorly optimized, but did they actually buff Adam Smasher or something? Cause the guy's actually hard and a damage sponge now! I've died 6 times already due to his homing missile and smart gun attacks. Feel sorry for Panam too, cause now she's getting shot and punched around like a ragdoll by Smasher.

Yes, they updated Adam Smasher so you can't one-shot him or even three shot him anymore. He only takes a percentage of his health at maximum now. He also has a bunch of backup goons as well with multiple phases in the fight now.

He always had several waves of backup goons if I recall, it's just that the pre-buff fight went by so quickly some folks didn't even notice it.

Also figured out during the raid of Arasaka Tower that you can't hack into terminals anymore unless you have the monowire as your arm melee weapon... ugh. Means I can't affect the room to my advantage anymore, and I'm supposed to be a hacker-heavy build.

Also need to find a way to dodge his Macross missile massacre attack he starts using when at less than 35% health, those missiles do a ton of damage and are hard to predict. Doesn't seem like wall cover protects you from them either.

Ok, finally Beat Adam Smasher. Trick was to get the reload-while sprinting/jumping perk along with 100% damage mitigation while dodging; it'll make it FAR easier to stay out of Smasher's range, and the dodge mitigation will allow you to avoid the missile swarms if cornered.

So lore question, what exactly does Arasaka counter intelligence do? I get that they assassinate rivals and other inconvenient targets, search for potential test subjects, but what else? It's been a while.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.

[up] I would assume that they also find spies from governments and other corporations who are attempting to steal Arasaka's secrets and then remove them from the company.

They also monitor and handle 'Saka plants in other corpos, as suggested by that small scene where V makes the decision over whether or not to pull an agent who's embedded in... I think Biotechnica?

Okay, mega-newbie question. After the Heist I've largely been fooling around, leveling up so I can stop having to worry about upgrading guns every handful of levels, and I was wondering something; after I gain access to Dog Town, am I locked there and have to finish the Phantom Liberty storyline, or can I just come and go after whatever quest gives me access?

I ask mostly from an article that rather confusingly suggested clearing the entire main game before loading a save from before the Point of No Return to go try Phantom Liberty, particularly an odd statement that its ending requires narrative to take several characters from the main game out of focus to work and that sounds ominously like a mutually exclusive story branch.

Once you've completed a few quests.into Phantomiberty you can come and go from Dog Town as you like.

[up][up]It should be noted though, Phantom Liberty has a unique and exclusive ending to the entire game. I think that might be what the article is getting at?

So just so I know I can start it to get access to Dogtown, finish the main game, then load up before point of no return and do Phantom Liberty? Or is more like finishing PL provides an additional ending option? I've read conflicting reports on that.
