• Yeah, I know this is hardly rare in a speculative fiction (or just fiction in general, really), but a lot of the plot development in this film relied on characters making unnecessarily indirect approaches to problems. So basically, borderline Idiot Plot.
• God, I love the Reasonable Scientist Guy.
• Also, this is one of the few times I've seen US Air Force being effective.
• Lastly, wow, did you see the blobby animation? That's some great effect.

And yeah, I did find it weird how Sarabi was never around. You'd expect a mother to an excitable, troublemaking child like Simba to keep a close eye on him.

XD Oh, that was satisfying. The fact that they bothered returning Mjolnir but gave zero f*cks about Loki's scepter, the Tesseract casing, the Power Gem sphere, etc. bugged me too! Either non-Infinity Gem stuff matters or it doesn't; you can't have it both ways!

Frankly, I feel like they didn't bother because they weren't relevant to the story. We can read between the lines, and the film is already long enough without padding Steve's ending with all of those items. Sure, it creates some Fridge Logic, but would it have affected the emotional impact of the scene at all? Nope.
