Surprisingly, they added two more cups with this update. There’s Desert Cup, featuring Megamix Mania, Dingo Canyon, Out of Time, and Twilight Tour, while Space Cup is Drive-Thru Danger, Hyper Spaceway, Oxide Station, and Electron Avenue.
SoundCloudThat's interesting. Both of those are made mostly of tracks that are already in other cups, but themed around specific environments this time.
I think they should add an option to randomlu choose tracks in a cup.
Has anyone tried the Velo times?
Uni catI’ve already beaten a couple, but right now I’m focused on mastering the new track.
SoundCloudAnd that’s Velo’s time trials taken care of. I have to say, the difficulty was all over the place. Some I blew away, some I was barely able to win even with my best performance, and some I barely won, but made significant mistakes that I really could have avoided for a wider win.
SoundCloudThe new track is probably the hardest one in the game. Also, gotta love how the Space Cup now features probably the four hardest tracks in the game. Or would if Hyper Spaceway hadn't been gutted for Nitro-Fueled.
There’s been a mysterious driver in the datamines for a while, and their codename has been changed to, and I wish I could make this up, DriverIAmAsImportantAsTheBandicootSoIShouldBeTheMainCharacter. If this were a Mario game, that’s the kind of code name I’d give Waluigi.

And the thumbnail is not necessarily what’s in the datamine, only what the video maker thinks is one of the things.

SoundCloudWasn't there a datamine of the scientist model? That's probably what it refers to.
I personally hope we get one of the plants from Papu's Pyramid. They've been in Drivers Ed for long enough!
I missed the part where that's my problem. No, apparently the Lab Assistant has the codename BAL.

SoundCloudWho're left in the original datamine that we still don't have in the game other than Baby Cortex, Baby N. Tropy, Ripto, and Sorceress again? We've gotten most of them, but there are still some MIA.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.I feel the Sorceress isn't a good choice for a racer. She's too evil, and not in a fun way. There's nothing fun about wanting to kill a bunch of babies. She's not the likeable, cartoonish sort of villain, so having her racing against her enemies would just feel off.
I feel like Ripto should have been the one and only final boss character from the Spyro trilogy. He's the only one who is recurring on a notable level (and had a crossover with Crash specifically) and whose fight wasn't piss-easy. The others are overshadowed by the side characters, who I think would be better picks. If they want another villain, there's always that scumbag Moneybags.
But my expectations are at an all time low now that they've wound down support. It's nice that they say more stuff is coming even after the Gran Prixes, but I'm expecting a trickle compared to last year. Even these past two GPs have been less robust than the earlier sets, with only one new character a piece.
this place needs me hereAny of you guys live in the United States and have Xfinity as your internet service provider? Because there’s an exclusive kart available from Xfinity. https://my.xfinity.com/coupon/event?id=ctr2020
SoundCloudWhat does it look like?
I missed the part where that's my problem.Picture is included in the link. If the link is unavailable due to region exclusivity, here's another source.
SoundCloudIt's neat, but do note that it's a Special Kart. You can't even use the wheels separately, despite what the description makes it sound like.
The restrictions on special karts drive me bonkers, especially since glitches in the past have proven that they're perfectly capable of being equipped with stickers/paint jobs without any issue. You're just (seemingly arbitrarily) restricted from doing so.
this place needs me hereThat Xfinity kart breaks my completionist run of CTR. I'd gotten everything else, including the Firehawk, the Cove Cruiser and the Oxide Edition exclusives, but there's no way I'm switching to a different internet provider that's not even available in my country.
Apparently you can use the retrieved code twice, so there's always the possibility of poking around, looking for giveaways or asking nicely. That's what I did, anyway. Kind of got in early though, before the begging really started.
this place needs me hereTrying to get all the bonus Oxide ghosts down so I can blitz through all the Velo ghosts at once (bar Android Alley which I've already done) and my God, Twilight Tour is BULLSHIT. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've bonked and lost my blue fire or just straight up run out of reserves and had to restart... is it because I'm using a speed engine? Should I go with balanced or drift, or even accel? Or am I just bad?
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fire Emblem: The Blazing BladeBalanced sucks.
You may need to learn U-turning. Also, remember that there are 2 blue fire levels, and the one you get from taking the elevated booster at the end of the market area is the faster one.
FINALLY FUCKING GOT IT. And that was despite losing my blue fire a couple times towards the end! Now... oh God, Prehistoric Playground. (Gah, wrong track... I can't focus today...)

Damn, that new track is difficult. Definitely the hardest new track introduced, possibly the hardest track in the game period.
